Such a beautiful zoo! Very clean with ample restrooms and benches. There were so many animals to see which was very unexpected. We saw tigers, lyons, monkeys, giraffes, lemurs, many types of local birds, etc. For an extra fee, you can feed the giraffes and have an opportunity to get up close and personal with several different zoo animals.

There is a great little enclosed bird area with turtles where you can sit and watch the birds. They also have a great gift shop with wonderful gift items.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience. We had a great time watching the animals and will definitely be back!

Very nice small zoo. They offered feeding a giraffe for $5 during a certain time window...very worth it! It is a beautiful zoo, a nice layout also with a petting zoo of farm animals for small kids. They have a merry-go-round. You can take a small motorized car ride to see a few animals. Enjoyed the day at the zoo. Employees work hard and are very knowledgeable.

A small zoo, but nice big enclosures with lots of grass. I have never seen such relaxed cats in a zoo environment. All of the animals were relaxed and happy. Many would come to the front of the pens to look at the visitors.

We stopped by here on a road trip and it was wonderful. Staff was pleasant and everything from the path, to the gift shop, to the restroom was very clean. We arrived around 1130 and left around 230-3. We saw a lot of animals and even had a few chats with the keepers as they tended a few of the enclosures who were very knowledgeable and willing to spend some time with us. There is a garden section which was a pleasant surprise as I haven't seen that at a zoo before and you are able to take a walk and sit on benches provided. It was a beautiful landscape area that has a cute little chicken coop. There is a stage for performance although there was not one scheduled during our visit. There is also an area to watch alligators being fed that happens on Tues & Thurs. The gift shop was also awesome with items ranging from very inexpensive at 1$ to things created by artisans that are 50+. It worked out great for us as we had two little boys who were able to get something without it breaking the bank while I was able to get a cute shirt to remember our stop and warm up as the temp dropped unexpectedly on us!

Tucked away in the southern state of Alabama is this not so small zoo!
This zoo is the perfect place to take a family or make it a day trip with the gang.
The animals are mainly separated by chain link fence which provides an immersive connection to all the animals. (Even the BEAR!)
There are a few attractions that have an additional cost inside the park, but they do look like they will be worth it depending on your budget, but you won’t feel like you missed out if you don’t take the plunge.
The zoo has plenty of spaces for your little ones to run, jump, and crawl to their hearts desire.

This zoo is a must visit!

Great zoo! They had a good variety of animals, a sloth that was very active (at feeding time)! My kids enjoyed the additional activities they could do (for added cost) like the carousel, train, and zip line flyer.

We had a great time here, we went for my husband's birthday and we did the lemur experience which was too cool! There was also an area where we could feed different types of animals. It is a smaller zoo but well worth the price!!!! We will be back!

We really enjoyed this zoo. This is a more intimate experience than you would get at a larger urban zoo. There is a good selection of animals and also a small petting zoo. You can buy a package and go in with some of the animals as well.

We had the most incredible time at this zoo! A lot of the animals were very active and I have never been to a zoo where the staff were so interactive with the guest and the animals. Our highlight was watching the little cats get fed. You could tell the staff member loved her job and enjoyed talking about the animals. I would recommend bringing sunblock. Not a ton of shaded areas and we wished we would have brought some. We will be back!!

Really nice zoo with lots of animals and birds. And pet zoo. You can pay to pet kangaroo and feed giraffes. Animals have lots of room. They look happy. They even have lemurs island where lemurs leave free. You can also go on the train car ride that just goes around the camel cage. It was like a 20 - or 25 dollars adult entrance ticket.

Some interesting animals. One of the smallest zoos I've ever been to. You can get up close and personal with some of the animals. Very clean and well kept.

Incredible zoo for the size. You get the quality of one that would be much larger. One of my favorite zoo experiences. Arnie the Armadillo was the best.

I adore this zoo. The habitats are clean, with clean fresh water. The animals appear healthy, content, well adjusted and tended to. The staff are always cheerful and more than ready to share information about any given species on the property, including the animals individual names and characteristics. Truly a pleasure every time we go there.

If you come to south Alabama for vacation please take the time to come to this zoo! It is small but very beautiful and if you come early you will get to see some of them active and have fun. These pictures do not do the justice of how wonderful these beautiful animals are. The kids will probably have the most fun 😂. And for just 5 dollars you can feed the giraffes! So awesome and so much fun! 🤩❤❤

We loved this zoo. It's a bit pricey for what it is, but we had a great day.

The giraffe encounter was the best one I've ever done. They employees enjoyed answering my son's 1000's of questions and he got to feed and pet the giraffe. They employees also took pictures for us. So amazing.

It also has a great variety of animals to see and two great playgrounds.

We had a great time. The staff were all friendly and you feel up close to the animals. Easy to get around and very handicap accessible. Mobility scooters available to rent for $20 for those who want to enjoy but need assistance. So much bigger than it used to be in their old location and they’re growing. Will definitely be back often.

We enjoyed both the lemur and kangaroo attractions (both were fun, but the lemurs were the best!). The close ups are of Tony, who really likes my phone. The only thing that disappointed us was that they booked our animal interactions back to back, so we essentially walked the zoo in 15 minutes to get from one to the other, missing everything in between. Lesson learned!
