Brasserie Zentral

For my meal, I ordered the Chefs choice tasting menu with the wine pairing. All of the food was delicious and the wines paired extremely well. There are a couple of wines that I would not have liked on their own, but when paired with the course really amplified both the food and the wine. The decor seems a little off for a fine dining restaurant, but the service and food are both great. I highly recommend trying this place.

Stopped for lunch today, and the rabbit spaetzle I ordered was simply perfect. The gentleman at the bar, where I sat, sported a very "imperial" mustache. Rob, who brought in the food, was very friendly and we chatted about the Central European theme of this establishment. He also introduced me to the culinary "Tour of Europe" going on every Thursday night this summer. Romanian food is featured on July 30th, when I plan coming back. The interior is refined and so many details take you back to the Golden Age (saw Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris recently.) The location is perfect for a dinner and a stroll down Nicollet Ave.

Went there for lunch today with a co-worker. The atmosphere was European, the food was fabulous, and the staff were wonderful. ]

Would go there again and recommend to friends and family.

Did a group dinner here for 7. They accommodated us well. Menu was unique and a good source of conversation. Discovered my new favorite drink here. It's their version of the Old Fashion. I think they call it the Republic. They do provide valet at their front door. They are a downtown venue but with no outside or rooftop dining, I may choose other places to visit in the summer months but I would still stop in for that drink. It's that good.

Ordered the smoked salmon salad. Very good, and other items looked great, but small portions and over priced.
