True gateway to the world of travel. You can catch flights to any city.... sometimes you have to connect, but you'll get there. Free WiFi, clean and monitored restrooms, along with a host of restaurants make this modern airport a first class stop

Nice small airport in the hectic D.C. Area. Flying out the day after Christmas and had an amazing stress free experience. The airport is clean and the staff is friendly. Bathrooms are conveniently located throughout our terminal. The whole airport has a nice open and modern feel. Nice options for food and drinks too.

Security was fast and easy, everyone was very polite and efficient. I love the location of this airport and the drop-off section, it's very easy and clear for ubers to know where your airline is. Also it's connected by the metro so you have multiple options kn how to move around from there.

This review is for the WMATA train station. It was clean and convenient to use. As a tourist, I really liked that there was an employee there to help me purchase a pass and understand my route. I would definitely recommend using this station when flying into DCA airport.

Definitely should get pre-check if your planning on traveling soon. Lines can get long at the TSA security checkpoints. The airport has had new renovations that mean it easier to navigate. Bathrooms are clean and many dinning options available. If your a coffee drinking many options available for that including two Starbucks and few other cafe options.

Very easy to get to the airport from the station, and convenient access to the city on the yellow line, and to Virginia on the blue line

The lady that took my order at the Starbucks after I arrived to the airport was surprisingly nice! One does not always expect to see and experience in a very busy airport. It was refreshing! And the guy who made my coffee, delicious!!! Y’all did good.

This makes DCA the most convenient airport
I have ever used. Living in DC for a while with this airport commute, I think every place I live from now on will have similar requirements.

Very good airport. Wifi is excellent, easy to connect, fast and reliable. The best I love here is the nice view of pick-up or landing plannes. The view is close enough to view the pick-up planes EVEN before you go through security. If you travel with children, they will surely love it. The whole airport interior is well designed and well maintained too.

Quick, cheap and convenient connections to downtown DC and beyond. Easy to access and make transfers even if you're traveling with a moderate amount of luggage. Blue and yellow line provide regular Metro service during the daytime and evening. Boards list expected wait for arriving trains and covered seating is available.

Easy to get in and out of. Lots of traffic. Usually the train is the best way to and from the airport. Security is split into 3 terminals so you need to know which terminal you need based on the airline. Each security area is smaller but if you get there early enough, you usually don't fight many people unless you arrive when everybody else does.

It is an airport that has functioning planes. That is a 5 in my book. But more specifically, I have never had a miserable experience here. Security is always quick and there are plenty of places to get drinks + snacks before a flight.

Looks like an unfinished hangar from the outside, but really quite dramatic from inside.

National is a relatively small (compared to Dulles or BWI) airport on the outskirts of DC. This airport is by far the most convenient airport for DC residents, as it is directly accessible by metro and not too far away. The convenience and accessibility add a fair amount of value for DC residents. It eliminates the need for long-term parking (if you have a car), an expensive commute (cab/Uber), or a difficult commute (public transit), as would be required by Dulles or BWI, neither of which are well served by public transit. National doesn't quite have the bells and whistles of newer airports, but that's not an issue for me. Local (and old) DC residents like to call this airport "National" because that's what it was called before it was renamed after Reagan.

The most beautiful airport in the world because it's simple, small yet subtly sophisticated. Never the large crowds or long lines. Quiet and clean. The best.

The DCA Metro stop makes it an absolute breeze to get to nearly anywhere in the metro area flying into National. A 5-minute walk from your gate gets you to the platform and you can be up in Bethesda/Twinbrook in less than an hour and downtown by the Mall in 15-20.
