Good down home food with generous portions for a price that respects your wallet! I've always been greeted with a warm welcome and the servers here are pleasant and attentive.

This was an old childhood favorite of mine, back when it was known as Gus's. I'm not sure how much has changed regarding management or cooks, but the menu hasn't changed very much from what I can tell. It offers greasy spoon type items, but the inside atmosphere is very quaint, classy, and clean. The service is good and attentive. The last several times I've been, the owner has come over to greet us. Prices are very reasonable and portions are hearty. Just like homecookin', if you have a really skilled cook at home. Restaurant seems to have a lot of regulars, which is a good sign. Breakfast is served all day and there is a drive-thru. Pretty nifty!

Quote possibly the very BEST restaurant in Sioux City. Amazing food. Home cooked, never disappointed. Everyone is friendly and welcoming! Never packed, normally pretty quiet. No matter how old or what lifestyle, you MUST eat here. Once you go, you'll keep going for years to come! The wait isn't long, the prices are affordable.

We stopped in while on a college tour. Food and service was excellent. My daughter also left her purse behind and we didn’t notice till we got back to Omaha. The owner mailed it back to us after talking on the phone with him. There are still good people around. We are planning a trip back up in October and will be going in again to personally thank him and have some wonderful food again. Thank you again for getting that back to us.

I found this place on the Food Network's website. The food was excellent. The service was fast and friendly. There were many local patrons which is always a good sign. I enjoyed it very much. I would recommend this place and make sure you bring an appetite!

Excellent food and friendly waitress. Great prices! Hot chocolate is amazing on a cold wintery day. I think what we liked the most is that it's more like a family restaurant and it's not over crowded and overly loud. Nice, clean and quiet restaurant. We will be back! 5☆☆☆☆☆

It's very much worth going there to eat,you get your money's worth and then some. The atmosphere is very pleasant and inviting. The staff there are very nice and polite,always serving you with a smile.Really enjoy eating there and having a good hot meal .There's a variety of food on the menu and they even have special on for everyday of the week. I highly recommend this restaurant. I give them a five star rating.

Great home cooked style meals. Great portion size. Service is good to. They even have a pick up window and you can place orders ahead of time. You really should try this place.

The food is DELICIOUS, and the people are so wonderful. My family loves going there, and our kids are so picky about their food, and they never have a hard time finding something they like.

Quick service and delicious home style food. I had one of the best taverns I've ever tasted followed by a yummy piece of coconut cream pie.

If you eat out in the Siouxland area you can't find a better meal for the price with a great atmosphere. The service is top notch as well.
