Dan was great. He helped me in a rush as my sons cleat for his track meet. I so appreciate his time and kindness. I would recommend him to anyone needing their shoe fixed!

Dan is a true craftsman and his workmanship clearly reflects just that. I’ve brought multiple pairs of boots (ranging from Ted baker’s to Allen Edmond’s) over the last year, beginning in August of 2022 and has exceeded all expectations every single time. I live in Alameda and I’m so delighted I stumbled upon his shop.

Brought my favorite leather boots to replace the heals. This shop is fabulous, you feel like you went back in time. The owner is super busy and still manage to be polite and helpful. My boots were ready in a couple of days and he delivered them clean. What I paid was reasonable considering the cost of a brand new pair of boots. Please note that they only accept cash (no card payments).

I grew up in Livermore and have brought my shoes to Danny for the last few decades. No matter where I live, I collect what needs fixing, and bring all of it to him whenever I come home to visit. My husband now adds to that pile of things to bring haha. I keep things longer because i know he can fix them, and it makes me buy better quality things. I can’t believe there’s nobody learning this trade from Danny - nobody does it better. My shoes, bags and I will be so sad when someday he decides to retire. Like someone else said, I’d give him 10 stars if I could!

I had new heels put on a pair of dress up shoes and had a wonderful experience. The man who helped me was knowledgeable, friendly, completed my repair quickly, and polished my shoes. I felt that it was a fair price and after I made a comment about looking for new laces, the man helping me surprised me by replacing them for free! He even held onto my old laces for me. I cannot give enough stars and have had my view of cobblers changed!

I purchased a pair of Blundstone boots which have a notoriously long break-in period. I wanted to take them on a trip in the next week, so I brought them to Tri-Valley Cobbler with the hopes that he might stretch the leather, speeding up the process. He was honest that he might not be successful due to the elastic side panels, but was willing to try. When I picked the boots up the next day, he was skeptical that he had been able to effect a change, but when I put them on, I noticed a big difference. The boots were much more comfortable and less constrictive around the ankle and top of the foot. The service was very reasonable and ready the next day. I highly recommend Tri-Valley Cobbler for leather stretching services.

Great prices, great service, fast repairs. One of the shoelace eyelets on my Lowa boot ripped out, and I brought it here for repairs. They had it repaired the day after I brought it in, and it looks great. You would never even know.

I had an orange stain on a pair of beloved white sneakers. Took the shoe to a different cobbler who told me that the stain could not be removed and sent me away. Brought the shoe here and the gentleman who helped me was fantastic. He was very creative and resourceful, trying different solutions and techniques until almost all of the stain came out and the shoe was restored. Very impressed by the excellent quality of work and friendly service, will definitely be back!

Great, fast service! I took my wife's shoes here to replace the plastic taps that came with the shoes.

Shoe repair is a rare art form. Society today would rather discard them instead of repair them. So it's good to know that there is still a business out there that does great repair work for those that want to repair instead of replace. If that's you, give them a try. You won't be disappointed!

I've been a patron of this business for decades. Outstanding fast work at a very reasonable price. Over the years he has repaired my SCUBA dive bag, luggage, backpack, work shoes and numerous hiking boots (replaced flimsy zippers, stitched tears, reinforced damaged areas, replaced soles, etc). Today I picked up my Lowa hiking boots after he reinforced damaged areas. Friendly, helpful and skillful. This is small business is a gem in the Livermore area.

For years, I'd been searching for a solid, good fitting, work boot for a woman. Not only did this amazing Cobbler recommend an awesome boot, he has cared for the footwear from day one.

To extend the life and look of your footwear, I would recommend you take your new items to this Cobbler, and have regular visits. Do not try to work on your own shoes, without the wherewithal.

Fair pricing. Quality work. Honest answers.

Went here on my aunt's advice. Very very happy I did. I left 5 pairs of shoes. On one pair of boots i needed new soles & heels, the zippers replaced, and polish. On a pair of loafers I got the heels replaced & and on the other three pairs I had polish/conditioning done. It came to around $130 and my shoes look amazing!

Most of it ($90) went to basically remaking my favorite pair of knee high boots - and it was worth every penny. They look brand new. I just wish i'd taken them in sooner before I put cracks in the leather. Even so with what he did to them I might get another 8 years out of them - especially if i take better care of them now 😊

Highly Highly recommend!

Multiple visits over the years to Tri-Valley Cobbler/Boot Shop and without hesitation I submit a five star + review.

Quick to quote for the repairs/patch sewing job, etc. and at a very reasonable price. The work is high caliber, Harley boots repaired well over a year ago that were falling apart and not one concern from that day. Ride to Sturgis, 4500 miles up and back, all types of weather and perfection.

Much obliged for the quality of work and looking forward to my business shoes being in service for a much longer time with the new soles added.

Cheers

First rate. Dan has fixed boots, flats, even a broken purse and they all look like new. Always on time, and the prices are very reasonable. I don't know what we'll do when he retires if young people aren't willing to learn a real craft. I recommend him highly. Quality work.

The Tri-Valley Cobbler is the only place you need to know for shoe, boot, bag, and leather repair. I've been here several time for work on different products, and I have never left feeling disappointed. The quality of work is tremendous, and the cost is very affordable. Recently I had some heel repair work done on my Ariat boots, and they feel and look just like new. Without hestiation to I recommend this place. This business does not accept credit cards, so come prepared with cash or check. If you pay cash in advance you can receive a small, but appreciated, discount.
