The Great Escape

Cool record store with a really great selection of back issue comics. There is a small new comic wall too. Everything is neat, organized and priced pretty well. The “newest in” bin was 3 long boxes and full of some vintage stuff. If you are lioking for semi-rare in the $6-$10 range back issues….this is an escape!!!

Huge selection with tons of interesting things to look at. I particularly like their Pokémon card selection. Although small, I often find good cards for fair prices. This particular location is an excellent place to shop for records. I do wish they had an electronic music section though. You can easily spend hours in here.

Great shop for comics, movies, vinyl, video games, basically any kind of pop culture media. I usually go mostly for the vinyl records but there's lots to like here. The jazz section of vinyl, in particular, offers a lot of really great records for very reasonable prices.

Just happened to stop by on a whim, looking for some Pokemon cards and they had boxes of single cards for $0.05 a piece! Lol. Fun stop to check out some music, books, comics, games or more. Definitely my kind of place.

i have been going to the original great escape in madison since i was a wee lad. This one is even better! Im glad they are expanding , i could spend all day long in this store. definetly dont pass up one stopping by here!

This is the "main" great escape and one I've enjoyed going to for years because it has a bit of everything.

Comics, records, movies in formats from VHS to Bluray, cards, gaming supplies, manga, books, CDs, toys, and so so much more.

I ALWAYS find something I want.

Was on vacation out in Nashville and thought I would check out a local Comic Book shop and was pleased to find this place! Was able to dig through some long boxes and score some key issues I didn't have, and I also bought some vinyl records. Cool spot and will revisit next time I'm in town.

- There aren't typically many rare or sought-after titles available, but they are always bringing in new inventory and rotating stock.

Value: 5/5
- They base their prices on current market value and always try to beat the trend by at least a few cents. In addition, Manager's Specials and 20% off storewide sales are common.

Location: 4/5
- Plenty of parking. Organization is there, but not perfect. If you're looking for a specific accessory or controller, you might have to sort through a few boxes of junk to find it.

Overall: 5/5 for friendly staff and constantly rotating stock. Clean store, tons of parking. Bathroom key available upon request. If you check back often, you can find some great deals!

Awesome store with everything that I love .. it really is the Great Escape..this is really my 2nd post..but I was there over an hour and totally lost track of time.. lovin' every minute of it !!!

I do like this place. The staff is always friendly and willing to help. This is a breath of fresh air as i am always looking for businesses i enjoy. Other places can learn a few things from this place.
