East Coast Hearing and Balance

So helpful. If I could, I would give them 10 stars. My hearing aid stopped working while vacationing with friends in beautiful North Carolina. I have severe hearing loss, I could not understand any spoken word. I found East Coast Hearing online and called for guidance. I was told I could come right in to assess my aid. At the office, I received friendly, immediate care. I was in & out in 30 minutes with a functioning hearing aid at a very reasonable cost. I could not be more gratful. THANKS

Dr. Gaines is absolutely amazing! He takes time to explain everything and to answer all our questions. He even stayed late because of us twice. I love my new hearing aids and I am very grateful to Dr. Gaines for choosing them for me. I highly recommend Dr. Gaines

Highly recommended. A state of art practice with knowledgeable and caring staff who respond quickly to emergent needs. The practice has provided care above and beyond my expectations as a VA patient. Every member of the practice deserves kudos; I must particularly note Doctors Kern and Gaines for their professionalism, and their patience with someone who regularly stress tests hearing aids.

I have had mixed impressions based upon several contacts. I have never dealt directly with Dr. Gaines.

Update: I received a call from Dr. Gaines. I was very impressed that he took the time to discuss what was an understandable communication error. I am satisfied that He is committed to his patient's positive experience with his practice. Thank you Dr. Gaines!

We had a great experience today with Dr. Gaines. We were here for my 3 year old son. He was great with him. Everyone was friendly, and it was very easy getting an appointment and checking in. The building is clean and we will definitely be back if we ever need another test done. Thanks for a great experience

My visit went so well with Doctor Allison Kern, she was sooo professional and fluid with the entire testing evolution she conducted for me. It was really streamlined and i was in/out of the office efficiently. 10/10 would come back for future testing and help with my hearing issues!!!!

Dr. Gaines and Dr. Kerr at East Coast Hearing guided me through the process of getting hearing aids — not something that I wanted to do! From the time I walked in, I felt comfortable and I was in the right place. The exam was easy — and both Drs kept me informed on the progress. The graphics I saw helped me understand why I was struggling with my hearing — especially hearing women. They guided my through the process to select and obtain my hearing aids. Of special note — all the offices are experts in navigating the VA process to obtain the hearing aids as a benefit of serving my Country in the U.S. Army.

I highly recommend the firm for anyone having trouble hearing!

Went to see Dr. Gaines and had a wonderful experience. Him and his staff were incredibly professional, kind, and thorough through the whole process. They explained everything they were doing beforehand and made me feel very comfortable. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family. Go see dr Gaines for your hearing Heath care needs. Absolutely wonderful- my visit was so thorough and you can tell how much they care about their patients. I didn’t feel rushed at all, all my questions were answered, and if I can give more than 5 stars I would.

Dr. Gaines and his staff are incredibly down to earth, friendly, and professional. Their kindness and personalities allow you to feel at ease and relaxed during the appointment. Dr. Gaines and his staff went well out of their way to help better my situation even when the military health system wouldn't. I recommend East Coast Hearing and Balance for all your hearing needs. After my experience I wish Dr. Gaines could take the place of my Primary Care Manager. I am extremely satisfied with my service from East Coast Hearing and Balance.

This clinic and staff are amazing! We contacted them about the insurance company denying payment for a much needed hearing aid for my elderly mom. Within a few hours, they had called the insurance company and taken care of everything for us with the results we needed! I can't thank them enough for the extra effort.

My mother was having difficulty hearing and made an appointment to see Dr Gaines. After completing her hearing assessment Dr Gaines took the time to explain to her the results and which hearing aides would be the best fit for her. My family can't thank him or his staff enough for the continued care they have given her. I would definitely recommend East Coast Hearing and Balance.

My 89 yr old grandmother was in need of hearing aids, she had visited other places for hearing aids, it seemed as all they wanted to do was to put her in the most expensive hearing aids that they could sale her. After the screening, Dr. Gaines took the time to explain to myself and her the benefits of each different option that would work for her. She left happy and informed, and could actually hear again. I would happily recommend Dr. Gaines to anyone

I am so happy our family physician referred us to Dr. Chris Gaines after a previous experience with another office. He and his staff are thoughtful, proactive, and extremely knowledgeable. I would never hesitate to refer anyone to this practice.

I can’t rave enough about how kind, considerate and professional the staff and the physician was to my mom today. They did everything they could to get us a convenient appointment. I work in the medical field so I am all about customer service. I would give them a 10 star if I could. (I did call a few offices before deciding and again they were the best right out of the gate). Awesome experience today !!

Excellent professional service. Chris Gaines is very patient testing and finding the exact fit and balance for you. As a first time hearing aid user, he made sure I was completely comfortable with the hearing aids.

Dr. Gaines was kind enough to come in after hours to help my 6 month old daughter. He was so gentle and caring with her, you can tell he really cares about his patients!

10/10! Had to bring my 23 month old in for a hearing test and the dr made her (and I) super comfortable. Patient, kind, and listens. Highly recommend!
