Hammond Street Laundry

Our expectations when visiting a laundry mat are usually pretty low. You know, broken old machines, machines that take your money and then don't work, dirty facility, short duty cycles on the dryers. etc.

We travel several months out of the year, so we have a lot of experience with laundry mats throughout the country.

Hammond Street Laundry was a pleasant surprise for us. A notable exception if you will. This was a very clean laundry mat with a nice Hawaii decoration theme.

Electrolux appliances all new looking machines and two Speed Queen mega large washers. In total, there were 2 extra large washers, 3 medium washers, and 5 small washers. For dryers, they have 10 regular dryers and four 45-pound dryers. The machine takes quarters or credit cards.

There is no attendant on duty, but there is a number posted to call if you have any questions. Security cameras abound. I counted six. Wifi sign on information posted on the bulletin board.

Two folding tables and one wash sink are available as well. Vending machines include one for laundry soap and a money changer. And, a TV if you are so inclined to watch.

My chief complaint with this facility is that there is only one chair available for sitting, and there is no rest room. Certainly would be back if I lived in the area.

Vary clean and well maintained never had an issue with my clothes not getting clean or dry due to the new machines. Been using Hammond st. laundry for 3 years. It is privately owned and the owner seems very involved.

Clean place, many washing machines to pick from, and a few extra large washers available too. Only one seat available so we had to wait in the car. Everything takes quarters or credit card. Both work great! Detergent dispenser (you have to pay for it) on the wall if you forget yours or run out. Love the sliding door, making it easy when your hands are full! We come here any time we have trouble with our washer at home. Worth it!

Just recently started going here and it’s a pleasant experience each time. Staff is always kind and helpful. Definitely my go to laundry mat!

Clean and machines are great quality, easy to use.
The only frustration here was that the coin change machine. It isn't illuminated to indicate it won't take any more exchanges but the bill intake on the left stopped taking my bills.

This laundry mat is excellent, the owner is so sweet and kind. He also owns the one on Stillwater. Very clean and welcoming, would recommend to anyone!

-Always very clean. I have tried other places closer to my house and Hammond Street Laundry is BY FAR the cleanest.

-Even at its busiest, there are machines available.

-If I'm a few minutes late to my wash/dry: never had anything stolen or even my clothes removed from a machine.

-The staff are extremely helpful.

-Seasonal decorations and a TV make it a pleasant place to be.

It's clean and everything is well maintained. The automatic door is a thoughtful feature. It's annoying to have your hands full carrying a laundry basket and whatnot while trying to struggle through the door, so having the door slide open for you is great.
I also appreciate the later hours.

Great, affordable place to do laundry. Everything is automated, so no restroom or staff of any kind. They do offer detergent for sale, and also have a quarter machine. Both the dryers and washers accept card as well.

They have an incredible set up when it comes to doing laundry, they are very respectful too. I had a minor issue that I was unsure about on my end and they got back to me within minutes. I definitely recommend this place for other customers!! Extremely friendly service and the cleanliness of the building is very clean too!

It's not a bad place to do laundry, its a peaceful place especially between 6pm and closing, this place has plenty of washers and dryers so if you see a few vehicles here you wont have to worry if youll be albe to get your laundry done or not because theres plenty to go around. Only downside is if there isn't someone there in the office you wont be able to use the bathroom because of people have misused it in the past (mostlyfor people using drugs) but for the most part I've ran into some good mannered people here and I can honestly say that I have been able to start my laundry and leave to run a couple of errands and when I get back all of my wife's and my clothes are still all there and completely untouched. That is a really good feeling to be able to trust that that your things are safe in a place that's literally surrounded with every type of person you can imagine within a stone throws distance including thieves but for some reason nothing gets bothered at this laundromat and for that alone gets a 5⭐ review from this guy🙋🏻

Clean. Machines work well and the large capacity dryer is awesome! 40 minutes for $2.50 ( probably could have used less time but I was used to machines that don’t dry as well) I was able to dry three full loads of laundry in one go and it came out nice and fluffy. What a great deal. Friendly owner and adorable Laundromat dog ❤ Will definitely use again!

Nice clean place to do laundry. I've done my laundry several times and never run into a problem. Encountered two different people who either own or work there and they were both very down to earth, pleasant, just seem like good friendly people. The hours are convenient as well.

Easy and reasonably priced self-operating laundry service.

Note: only one chair to sit inside right now, so you will probably have to wait somewhere else. No public toilets.

Large washing machines might be all taken during the busy hours, certainly so on weekends.

Owners show up often and keep the place clean and smelling very nice! Otherwise, it's monitored by cameras the entire operating hours.

Excellent place to do your laundry.. Very very clean place. Glad to see that the owner's either keep it clean or have there worker's that take pride in there work and it is even decorated for Christmas that's very sweet.

Very clean! Jessica keeps the machines, counters and floors very clean! She is nice and helpful. There are machines of different sizes to choose from. Shortly after we walked in the place got busy BUT there were plenty of machines. There weren't any machines with unattended laundry. Will return!

Just passing through from Houston and needed to clean the clothes real quick. This place not only was really clean but affordable. 10/10

Jessica, the attendant, greeted us on arrival, helped us start the machine and even offered to put our load in the dryer so we would have more time to visit our son who lives in the area. The facility was very clean and bright. We don't use a laundromat very often but when we need one we will choose Hammond Street Laundry.

I had an issue with a washer here and the owner sent me refund without trouble. He was very understanding and apologetic, I appreciated it a lot. The convenience of the washer/dryer combos here is well worth it. I will continue to do my laundry here until I finally get a washing machine at home.

The owner is so friendly and seems to be there every time I go. She keeps the place spotless and open early and closing late. The 5am-11pm 365/yr hours are perfect for everyone.
