Hefun

Came here on a Saturday evening, and it was pretty full. Despite that, my experience was really good! Everything from the food, service, and atmosphere were all phenomenal and I would definitely come back.

I ordered the chicken rice bowl (I forgot the actual name), which was a ton of food and super tasty. Not to mention, the pricing for the food is very fair and I felt like I got great value for what I paid for.

Blacksburg may not have the best Asian food in the country, but Hefun does a great job!

Tried several of their rolls and they were all DELICIOUS (although my personal favorite was The Bear Roll). The atmosphere is great and the service was perfect. 10/10 will be coming back.

Great food. Helpful staff. Cozy seating. The veggie ramen and chicken teriyaki were delicious and cooked perfectly. Highly recommend.

Went to this amazing restaurant 3 times and every time everything was perfect. Their decoration is lovely and full of a Japanese vibe. The food is always tasty and looks great. The server I met was friendly and helpful. Really enjoy this place and would recommend it to a friend who visits Blacksburg.

***update** Finally a great Ramen place in Blacksburg!! They have moved through the post opening updates and are doing great! The service was FAST, Ramen awesome, and selection great!

First review: We went for a lunch date and it hit the spot. They just opened and we went during the soft opening so there were some things that they are working out but the food was great! Owner was onsite and attentive to any problems that arose, staff is learning but friendly and accommodating. Atmosphere is casual and fun. Will definitely be back and looking forward to seeing this place really grow! Also, great bar and craft cocktails👍.

Great little jewel for Japanese food and Boba Tea. Located right off of Main St and across from the VA Tech campus, the food varies from Japanese inspired appetizers, sushi, ramen, and rice bowls. Excellent flavor profiles from medium to spicy, Hefun has a little bit for everyone. The atmosphere is fun and themed to make your dining experience enjoyable. The staff was very attentive and polite. This will be a frequent go-to when in the Blacksburg or NRV area!

Excellent restaurant. Great hospitality, excellent ambiance, and most importantly: incredible ramen. Great variety of drinks (nonalcoholic and alcoholic) and a diverse menu for all types of eaters! Looking forward to the full menu after the soft opening!

This is the restaurant Blacksburg has been MISSING! So good, don’t listen to the bad reviews. The drinks were immaculate and the ramen was amazing! For a soft opening I am incredibly impressed.

Staff were incredibly nice and helpful, very nice vibes as well, for the amount of staff very timely service - recommending to all of my friends.

This restaurant is by far the best ramen place in the area. I got the tonkatsu ramen twice. I’m a very picky eater and I’d say that I would definitely eat here multiple times a month. The ramen egg consistency was perfect. The chashu pork was so soft and juicy. It basically melted in my mouth. The broth was so good. You can clearly tell that they prepare it in advanced really well. A bit salty but I don’t drink all the broth. The Lion sushi roll was amazing. They added a lot of masago on top. The plating is beautiful. Just like the higher end sushi restaurants in Nova. Highly recommend this place. I just got food from them yesterday and I still crave it and want to go back today.

I love the ramen. best i have ever had. i want to come back here 24/7. i also love sushi and the fish was fresh and amazing. i’ve never had broth that good

Really great new Japanese restaurant right in town. Ask for Anthony or Tey - amazing bartenders. Sushi and salmon mixed green salad were amazing! Such nice people, perfect warm ambience.

First time here and I had a great meal! Service was fast and friendly!

Delicious, generous portions. Very authentic flavors, wide menu. We lived in Japan for 6 years and had plenty of Asian food, so it's always awesome for find a local place that has authentic dishes and flavors. Will be going back and work out way around the menu!

Cozy Japanese spot across from Virginia Tech campus. Fair portions, not especially large. Food is served in the cutest dishes! Their Shoyu ramen was packed with toppings. I was incredibly pleased by their expansive boba selection. The staff were kind and patient.

Best food I've had in Blacksburg. Tonkotsu ramen was excellent, super flavorful broth. Salmon nigiri was perfect, gyudon was great also. A lot of attention to detail paid to the service and experience, and interior decor was cozy and lively. I went there at like 5pm so it wasn't very busy but I hope they get a lot of customers!

Delightful food! Appetizers, entrees, and drinks all exceptional. Lunch service can be a little rough, but staff is helpful and friendly. Definitely worth a trip!

Great food, but I eat a lot, so I would've liked bigger entree portions. Sushi is the best in Blacksburg for sure.

Excellent service, wonderful atmosphere and really good ramen! We had a nigiri sampler as an appetizer and found it only average.

Upon arriving to this place the staff was amazing. 10/10 on the service definitely recommend. Love their happy hour special from 3-6pm. The food was delicious ❤❤ Definitely coming back
