Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

I manage multiple rental houses in town. Last night, one of the houses I manage had a terrible basement water backup. It appeared that the main drain line was completely clogged. Two months ago after the owner bought this house, we had a 100-ft cable snake job done because of a slow drain. Initially, I thought we had to snake the drain again. But none of my handymen can make it today, and the water backup seemed to worsen this afternoon. Plumbing companies are pricey. Unless something serious happens, they are not my top picks. But my gut feeling told me to call Roto-Rooter. I hired them twice in 2022 for another rental house with a similar situation. Within 10 min I received a confirmation a plumber was on the way. Pretty soon, Dyan (720) showed up. His truck is equipped with two big cable snake machines. After checking, Dylan explained that his machine could not get close enough to the clear-out because it was in the crawl space. The best option was hydrojetting. Dylan was very reasonable, so I decided to take his recommendation. About 20 min later, his co-worker John Wilson drove a big utility truck here, and he turned out to be a very experienced jetter. John explained everything to me in front of a big sewer camera screen, which was very educational. There were tree roots, big and small, growing into the clay pipe joint place in 6-7 places, and there was also some degree of displacement in one of the pipe joint places. John wiped them out using high-pressure jet water with Dylan’s assistance. Pretty soon, water started running towards the floor drain. Because there was so much mushy toilet paper floating everywhere. It could take my husband and me 3-4 hours to get the floor cleaned up, so John offered help. By using the hydro jet, John got most of the sewer water/floating toilet paper cleaned up for us. His one-extra mile work helped us a great deal. Yes, hydro-jetting costs almost twice as much as the cable snake job, but the Roto-Rooter team is equipped with a powerful machine system that can do so much better than a snake job to clean out the tree roots and everything else that clogs the drain pipe. I feel very lucky to have two excellent plumbers working for my best interest, with the results being much better than I anticipated.

Matt Z 4522 was excellent! Our water heater was leaking excessively on a very cold Saturday, and he was able to resolve the problem quickly and at such a high quality. He even brought other parts of the water heater up to code that we did not even realize we an issue. He was kind and professional. Definitely a wonderful experience!

Fantastic service. Came within an hour of calling. Cleared major clog due to disposal buildup in pipe that was 50' down the line. Took two hours of slow and careful work with power auger. Friendly and informative tech. Pricy but worth it.

I called on Sat at 5pm for a clogged toilet! The lady who answered was very polite. Explained the process. They said someone would be out between 8am-12pm. I got a text before 8am. They were on their way.
Dylan the service tech explained everything. He was very polite, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend them again!

Stephan was great!! He came out and did a detailed look. He worked hard to find the problem in all areas of the house. He called out a supervisor when necessary and offered to take an assessment once we move into a new home! Overall great customer service and transparency!

My wife and I had a burst pipe in the garage. They promptly sent out someone within an hour of us calling. They replaced all the valves downstairs (old house and they started to leak) and repaired the pipe. Have had multiple great experiences so far with Roto Rooter across multiple different plumbers. Would highly recommend.

I had water backup in my basement today (Sunday). Even though the time changed a couple of times. They did a great job of keeping me informed. The tech was very polite and did an excellent job explaining everything. Very knowledgeable!

Had an unforeseen event that happened on the weekend that needed an urgent repair. Able to get a technician (Dylan) out very quickly, within a 30-45 minutes. He was friendly and knowledgeable and everything was reasonably priced. Definitely will use again
