My new favorite coffee shop!! The baristas are awesome! Morgan made the bear and cat latte art, she's a very talented artist!! Sierra recommended the Kuppa Joy with oat milk which is my new addiction!! I'm here every week to study or hangout, perfect aesthetic and vibe!!

I always love Royal Oak Roast.

The chicken artichoke panini is my go-to. They're really kind to kids, even making a foamy bunny rabbit in my kids hot cocoa.

Their coffees are delicious, as is the matcha latte.

There's plenty of parking and you can pick up or order to go.

They have changing tables in the bathrooms as well as seating for kids.

Some of the best roast in the area! Was surprised to find out that this is the same chain that the Birmingham Roast is. Very stylish interior, lots of cozy seatings , great ambiance! Coffee is great! So as their iced teas! looking forward to trying more items on the menu ! Internet 🛜 is fast 💨

The owner and his staff are very nice and courteous. The owner Andy goes out of his way to make your experience in his coffee shop a pleasant one. My oat milk latte was exceptional! I highly recommend this place.

Hands down, my favorite! From the incredibly friendly and attentive staff to the delicious food and flavorful coffee. The ambiance sets any mood; whether you’re looking to decompress or need a creative spark to get your work flowing. Can’t recommend it enough!

Had the salmon bagel here! It was pricey but good. The vibes were nice as well as the staff. My friend said her coffee had a lot of sugar but everyone seemed to enjoy their food. Would come again!

Very busy friendly coffee shop. Refreshing to see employees remember regulars and also treat first timers with friendliness. I ordered the oatmeal with berries. The berries were so fresh and tasty. I didn’t expect that in February in Michigan. Worth the trip.

Great coffee, breakfast and lunch spot below the Griffin apartment complex. I had a hot coffee with almond milk and it was perfect on a chilly fall day. I’m a big bagel and lox guy and theirs has a great twist with avocado. The atmosphere is very warm inside and there’s ample seating for hanging out, working and eating. The baristas working there were also super friendly

We drove 10 hours from Minnesota to go to a concert in Royal Oak, so we wanted to find some cool places to eat and this place was perfect! The employee who took our order went out of her way to be friendly and make sure we got a place to sit during their busiest hours. Plus, the food came out super quickly and it was delicious! I'd highly recommend the Golden Joy latte and overnight oats. I joked that I'd come back to Detroit just to revisit this shop, but upon further consideration, I am very serious and we will be returning on a weeky basis.

If you are in Royal Oak, the RO Roast is a great place to visit. Usually plenty of seating inside and has outside seating. Very tasty lattes and tea. Has free WiFi is you need it.

I had been going to Birmingham Roast for years before Royal Oak Roast opened, and it is just as amazing as the original. Drinks are incredible (though the “Joy” drinks are pretty sweet, I always order half sweet), the breakfast burrito is a must try, as is the açaí bowl. They constantly have new “seasonal” menu items which is great for regulars to get something new to try. This will forever be my favorite coffee shop in the metro Detroit area!!

I’ve recently started going here, my favorite is the iced golden joy latte, with oat milk!🤌 I’ve tried the breakfast burrito multiple times as well, love that, usually get it without bacon. Their overnight oats and French toast is also great… and if I’m really treating myself the strawberry cheesecake muffin.. is heavenly. It is usually busy and packed, so I just order online a lot and go.

I wish I could give this place more stars! We were having a terrible morning before coming here, desperate for coffee and some food after a pretty bad experience in our hotel. The staff at Royal Oak and the atmosphere completely changed our mood as soon as we walked in. The food is fresh and tasty, the coffee is perfect, and the staff was so genuine and friendly- you can tell they really love where they work and each other. They also have great taste in music! Thank you Royal Oak for making our horrible day turn for the better! We really needed you guys today :)

Such an amazing spot for both breakfast and lunch. The menu offers many amazing options for breakfast and lunch such as the breakfast burrito and my personal favorite, the garlic bread ribeye sandwich. The large selection of drinks offered allows any kind of coffee lover to grab something they want whether it’s something more on the sweet side or something as simple as an americano. The cafe offers plenty of comfortable seating which makes it a great spot to meet with friends and family. Lastly the service is always kind and quick which creates an overall amazing experience. 10/10 recommend!

Delicious food (banana peanut butter toast), and iced almond joy latte, definitely recommend even though the price is up there -- just ROak I guess. I do have to say in the winter, if you sit near the door, it is freezing and the music is very loud for a cafe. Otherwise nice spot!

This place is all about drinks ☕. Amazing coffees and teas with yummy pastries. Good selection of quick bites. Overall a good hangout spot for coffee lovers. Good Ambience and decent service. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the area.

Amazing place, amazing atmosphere, amazing workers and truly an amazing latte! I got the Kuppa Joy, it was like drinking a Hershey’s chocolate bar, so well balanced and creamy but not too sweet. My wife got a white cinnamon latte and it was just made to perfection! They also had an extra cafemeil they gave me, that also was so smooth and perfect for someone that isn’t a sweet tooth and likes a more down to earth drink. This is a new #1 coffee spot for us! #worthcomingfromcanadafor

Love this place so much! Drinks and food are always good, and a nice atmosphere to meet up with friends, chill by yourself, or do a little working or studying. Definitely my go to spot! Great staff!

Hands down my favorite coffee shop ever, their coffee puts Starbucks in the dirt. The food is always amazing, garlic bread grilled cheese was tried today and it was delicious. Slightly pricey, but a favorite nonetheless. The service is always top notch as well, whether you’re visiting the area, or live in town, I highly recommend trying this place
