This place is a must stop for breakfast! Food is absolutely delicious and portions definitely arent skimped on...youll leave with a full and happy belly! Staff is amazing and friendly. Atmosphere is clean and fun comfortable vibe. Prices are reasonable and I wish we had this place back home in New Hampshire!

Stopped for breakfest on our way out of Maine, and food was excellent. Not your normal order at the table restaurant, you get seated and go to the register and order. Food came out quickly and was good, service was excellent.

Was fortunate enough to pass by Bell the Cat as I was passing through Belfast! Clearly a local hotspot as evidenced by the many friendly people mingling inside, recognizing each other now and then. As I’d never been there before, Olivia at the counter helped me decide what to order, and was friendly, personable, and attentive. A+ for customer service! I was too late for breakfast tacos, (ends at 11am) but had an excellent meal nonetheless.

I ordered a cup of the Thai Curry soup, which was highly recommended, and I can see why! Absolutely delicious. Texture was great, lemongrass especially was incredible. Warmed me right up.

I also had the Chicken Poppy wrap, with feta cheese and strawberries, it was bright and summery on this cold day. Didn’t realize it came with a side of chips, that was a nice surprise.

The dining area was casual and bright, restrooms clean and well-stocked, and everything was pretty reasonably priced, considering I got a full sandwich, a cup of soup, and a hot chocolate.

If I’m in the area again, I would not hesitate to return :)

We have really come to love this place. Today, we got 4 takeout sandwiches, 2 for us, and 2 for friends. All were delicious. Fresh ingredients, generous portions.
A could of weeks ago we dined in. My husband got waffles and fried chicken. The service was excellent, both at the order counter and from our friendly server. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS.

Cool deli style hangout. Great menu, fast service and casual atmosphere. We stopped for lunch and were in and out in a half hour. The food was really good.

Great little spot for a meal! We went for breakfast and had an ordered the Chicken and Waffles and Red Flannel Hash. Both meals were excellent and you get PLENTY of food for the price! The staff was super friendly as well. We’ll likely be here again before our stay in Belfast is over!

Delicious local sandwich shop! I got a local root beer and the Greek spinach wrap with no olives. It was so good! And I love a place that gives you a whole pickle spear with a sandwich.
Oh and the molasses cookie was amazing!

Owner catered our sons wedding rehearsal, breakfast and lunch. Positively the best experience! My husband and I have worked in the food industry for over 30 years and this place was by far one of our best experiences. We followed up with a last minute breakfast at the restaurant as we left town. 5 star!!!!

Finally a great sandwich! Very lean open face Reuben with plenty of meat. And a fantastic Pastrami & Swiss (add coleslaw)!!
Menu was loaded with smoothies and lattes and paninis. It was a little overwhelming, but I'm looking forward to returning and trying something new each time.
Plenty of desserts to take home ;)

This is our local hangout. We come here at least weekly. The best coffee/espresso drinks in town, tasty salads, sandwiches, soups. Cookies are yummy. The "icing on the cake" is the service. When we go up to order, we are always recognized as regulars and often greeted by name. Sometimes they start drawing my husband's espresso when he walks in the door!

Wow! This place is cute and the food was amazing! The staff was pleasant and the restrooms are clean! We aren’t in the area often, but this is somewhere we will stop again!

This is a cute place for breakfast or lunch. There is outdoor seating too. Service was fast and friendly. Knowing that we were from out of town, our server gave us some recommendations for some great local things to do.

When we asked for sourdough toast, we still had a choice of white sourdough, multigrain sourdough, or rye sourdough. We were so happy to have these extra choices. The food and drinks were tasty. The women's bathroom was clean, not sure about the men's room.

Great service. Everyone was super nice. Everything is made in-house which is already a good sign. It was fresh and delicious. A must try!

Great place to enjoy lunch inside or outside. Staff is friendly. I wish they didn’t use Kens dressing packets but everything else was yummy!

I was lucky to go on a day with live music, but everytime I visit it is amazing!

We got an amazing deal, soup and half a sandwich for 12$.
Prices almost like in Europe and the soup is most probably home-made as it tastes very good!
The sandwiches, well half of it plus the soup is more than enough for lunch.

Belfast Maine is one of my favorite destinations in Maine. It's a beautiful town by the sea with many excellent restaurants, Bell the Cat being one of them. It's my go to spot for breakfast and lunch. Not only can you eat indoors now, but you can also utilize the drive up window or pick up your food from the pick up spots outside. It hosts a beautiful outdoor seating area, with herbs galore growing about the tables. What's better than the smell of fresh basil and mint! And....you can even have a mimosa or other alcoholic drink, what a plus for a Sunday brunch, or any other day for that matter! My favorite breakfast item so far is the Eggs Benedict. Eggs perfectly poached, muffin lightly toasted and delicious home fries. Who could ask for more. The menu is extensive and one would be hard pressed not to find anything to eat. Large vegetarian, kids, fresh baked goods and coffee choices. The staff was welcoming, and despite the busyness of the restaurant on this Sunday, food was delivered promptly. I will continue visiting Bell the Cat on every visit, and hope to try everything on the menu!!!

One my favorite spots in Belfast. Their weekly specials are always so creative it's hard to get the staples already on the menu. The staff is so friendly and the place is always spotless!

You can dine on premise, at patio. Best macaroon we've ever had. Best lettuce on the cobb salad - and that's an award we never expected to give anyone, ever. Crisp, fresh and awesome. Reuben is open faced, I prefer as sandwich but this isn't a complaint, just observation.
