Really cool place to explore and such beautiful views. We went for Fright at the Fort. We drove 3.5 hours and unfortunately the haunt was canceled because of the recent shootings in Maine. But we still went and visited the Fort and explored the grounds. Some parts of the Fort is spooky all on its own. Maybe take the trip next year and try again.

Took the Elevator to the observatory.. not as scary as I thought!! Nice views! Walked through the Fort afterwards. Very interesting! There were some Halloween decorations up for the scavenger hunt but we Diane participate.

This park has a very inexpensive entry fee that covers both attractions. The bridge is beautiful and the views are spectacular from the observation tower.
The fort is quite interesting in how it was built and its history. There are lots of places to explore inside and outside the fort making it a great place to spend a day.

We went all the way to the top of the observatory. It's taller than the Statue of Liberty! The employees were knowledgeable and kind. At Fort Knox we were able to explore the whole thing! We loved seeing the ambulance and cannons inside.

I drove by this monument for decades, and I finally decided to visit. I'm so glad I did. The view from the 40-story bridge tower is fascinating. It's a 365 degree panorama.
The fort evokes so many different feelings and emotions. Walking through the dark passages is eerie and standing next to the large canons is awesome! It's easy to lose track of your time soaking in the atmosphere!

We just visited here with our daughter for her first visit, we’ve been multiple times but it’s always neat seeing the fort, I was very shocked to see they offer a homeschooling discount it really makes for an awesome school field trip, the facilities are in great shape and always seem really clean (most parks this isn’t the case) they also are fully stocked and handicapped accessible! The gift shop is great too! We always make sure to stop in and purchase a few trinkets!

Great stop on our drive from Bar Harbor to Portland. The fort is great to walk around. The observatory is a must! The views were stunning! It was an amazing way to see the fall leaves.

Going to the observatory was a neat experience. The elevator ride was short and smooth. The view was nice and the employees were amiable. The fort was neat to walk through.

Unexpected stop from Acadia to Portland. Spent over an Hour and a half exploring the different chambers of this fort. Great for families to explore. Also went to the top of the bridge which had absolutely gorgeous 360 views of the area. Highly recommend.

Narrows Observatory, nestled amidst the picturesque beauty of Maine, offers and unparalleled experience for nature enthusiasts. Our visit to this gem left us in awe of the beauty of Maine. The bridge is an architectural marvel and we enjoyed learning about the history from the friendly staff who truly care about it. The panromantic views were spectacular especially due to the changing of leaves and you can see for miles on a clear day. The ticket price for entry for 4 people was $36 - a small investment for the priceless memory created. A must see!

The place is beautiful and has historical information. The fort and the observatory are nearby. The ticket for both can be purchased at the mini booth together or separately. It was $9 for 1 adult non maine resident for both places. Worth it!!

Must-see if you're in the area.

Pay for the observatory and access to the fort is free. Very reasonable prices.

We went up in the observatory first. The guides were very informative and welcoming. View was great. Wheelchair accessible

The fort was amazing! You can wander at will and explore the tunnels.. You'll need a flashlight! We had a blast.

Restrooms and gift shop available. Plenty of parking.

Really cool walk through history you can take at your own pace. It was a foggy rainy day so the fort was nice and cool inside, but the tower offered really no view (we were warned of this but decided to go up anyways). Highly recommend stopping for a bit!

What a beautiful Bride. This place was not in our plan at all. While driving to Portland from Acadia I ended up in this beautiful place.

It is stunning, man made wonder no doubt. If you have a chance don’t miss out stopping by here.

Beautiful clean park. Even though it was busy we didn't feel crowded and we're still able to take pictures without a bunch of strangers it in. Wish we brought a picnic lunch because the picnic area seem like a nice place to take a break

Spectacular looking bridge! I was not aware until we accidentally pulled into the viewing parking lot that there was a observatory in the top of one of the tall peers! We did not have time to go up to enjoy the view, but I would certainly have loved to do so.

Definitely a must see. It is the only bridge observatory in the western hemisphere and only one of 2 open to the public. Views were beautiful and the people working there were very nice and knowledgeable. Worth every penny of the admission.

It's flipping amazing! The observatory is unique. Great views. Doesn't sway in the wind. Even has two elevators so people who can't do stairs can make it to the top! There was an elderly gentleman on level one who made our time in the tower more exciting and interesting. I appreciated him engaging my kids and I with facts and additional info not on the signs! Thank you sir for going above and beyond but also for remaining on floor one to make it better when we go above and beyond floor 1! Lol

Fort Knox is a great experience because they open the doors and let you roam! Very few areas are off limits. Well kept. Bring a Fash Light! Great experience as far as historical sights go! And Eileen in the gift shop has great stories and also makes the visit more memorable! So make sure to say hi to Eileen! (Not sure on the spelling, sorry if it's wrong)

Very interesting and unique state park! We went on an impromptu adventure with our toddler and she really loved climbing the huge staircases in the fort and exploring. Great place to bring kids to burn off some energy, yet it's also very safe. Cute gift shop too.

Very helpful staff and upcoming fright night will be an absolute blast! Beautiful scenery and clean grounds with a very nice gift shop not too pricey! But an other worldly experience with historic architecture.
