Stopped here for a quick drink before heading back to North Carolina. Best coffee/tea experience I’ve had in a long, long time! The shop is cozy and clean, would be great for studying. The owner is super kind and friendly. And of course, the drinks were delicious! Try a caramel banana latte - never had another coffee like it and we had to get an extra one to go! Thanks for the great experience!

Perfect place for a coffee date with my dog. Love that they are dog friendly so I can enjoy myself and keep my dog involved. Staff is super sweet, drinks are incredible (pistachio matcha ❤), and love they have movies playing quietly so you can enjoy a film with your drink!

A beautiful space to spend time in! It’s little gems like these that make a city special. The owner was very friendly and my Matcha Latte was delicious. I hope I have the chance to visit again soon!

Delicious cold teas, zero sugar and natural ingredients! Uses Stevia to sweeten. Will definitely be back until I've tried the whole menu!

My team and I came to this spot to grab some coffee for a quick meeting and we fell in love with the atmosphere here. Theresa (owner) was extremely friendly and made us some of the best coffee we've ever had. Highly recommend.

Coffee was incredible, they recommended me the banana latte and literally not a single regret. I also got the coffee cake muffin and it was a huge slay. The owner was so nice too!!

Women owned, lovely cold tea shop. Great fruity flavors and all sugar free. They use Stevia in all of their teas. They are very refreshing and addictive! Animal friendly. Feel free to bring your pet. Seniors and students get discounts.

Such a wonderful hidden gem! Definitely deserves more attention; creative and unique drink options, cozy atmosphere with plenty of seating, and staff who make you feel welcome. Can't wait to come back!

Theresa and her staff are so friendly and amazing! This is definitely a Royal Oak jem! Perfect spot to just grab a refreshing tea or hang with some friends! Can't wait until they come out with take home teas!

The fern is the best coffee, tea and lemonade spot in Royal Oak. As soon as I walked in I could tell this was the place for me. The vibe was very welcoming and it felt like a place I could spend hours doing work or reading a book. I highly recommend coming here and experience it for yourself. My favorite so far is the dark chocolate pistachio latte. The caramel apple butter latte is really good too for a specialty fall beverage.

Amazing, refreshing teas. Love knowing exactly what I’m drinking and no extras I can’t even pronounce. Sweetened with stevia. So many different flavors to choose from. 4th day in a row going. Definitely going to try every flavor on the menu!

Cutest cafe in RO! Such a cool vibe and owner is so sweet. The pistachio dark chocolate latte was sooo good. The lemonade with blue punch topper was also amazing!

The Fern is hands down the best coffee shop in Royal Oak. Theresa is a great owner and barista who has crafted a diverse and delicious menu. The shop itself is setup phenomenally too.

My favorite part about The Fern is that their coffee beans are fresh and small batch roasted. This means their won't be much if any oils in the coffee beans / grounds so your stomach won't be in shambles afterwards. Be sure to ask the barista about it when you go in if you're curious to learn more!

Recommendation: Salted Caramel & Banana Latte

Highly recommend giving this place a try. The owner and her parents, who were helping run the place, were all very friendly and inviting. We ordered iced lattes and they were fantastic. They have a large variety of flavors that you can chose from to add to your drinks as well as monthly specials. The atmosphere was also were cute and cozy. I’ll definitely be back soon!

Delicious teas, never been disappointed. They have a killer cucumber lime cold tea that is heavenly.

If you’re looking for great customer service, reasonable prices, and delicious refreshing drinks - this is it. Great selection of cold and hot teas. And honestly, the whole experience gets an A+ from me. The owner runs the store by herself and I could have stayed and chatted all day. Not to mention the whole place was a ✨vibe✨ - I will absolutely be back!
