Sandwiches are HANDS DOWN best in town. There is a bit of a longer wait then your average sandwich shop but thats only because EVERYTHING is sliced fresh to order including sandwich toppings. Also their bread is fresh daily and if you are lucky Jim The owner will be there and always makes you feel like an extension of his family. There are definitely other sandwich shops in Lee but if you want the best quality- Housitonic Cafe is the place. They have unique and delicious sandwich options and also have a build your own sandwich option to ensure everyone walks away happy. The New England clam chowder is amazing! Hats off to Jim and crew and thank you for being so consistent all these years!!!!

This place has everything! Fantastic sandwiches made from thin slice Boars Head meats on delicious breads, to Stewart's sodas to hand crafted ice cream! Absolutely loved this place! Friendly staff to boot! Highly recommend!

Exceptional food quality and delicious sandwiches. Even the kids loved their grilled cheese with Bacon. I'll definitely be back.

A great authentic sandwich shop ! We found this hidden gem as a fantastic alternative to the normal rest stop restaurants of the Lee Plaza and the Lee Outlets; and we were more than happy with our choice. Housatonic Café is very clean, the owner is very friendly, and it’s a great place for kids – there’s a playground behind the restaurant and the Italian Ice is unbelievably good ! Overall, a great place!

I knew it wasn't going to be pleasant when I read the page long sarcastic message from the owner that tried to explain why he was so slow and inefficient .After waiting a half hour for our sandwiches , which were "OK", I decided we would never go back. The manager/owner really had no concern for customer service.
