Ole Smoky Distillery "The Barrelhouse"

Came here with a group of friends and did the taste testing. 12 samples for $8.00. Like wow. I will say some were better than others but that mint chip literally tasted like melted ice cream!

Great place $10 moonshine tasting. The coffee, black berry, and mint was my favorite. Must try.

I had a tasting to see which flavors I’d like! It was such a fun experience! The bar tenders were very knowledgeable, the store staff was very friendly and helpful! Definitely a highlight of my trip to Gatlinburg!

What a fun experience to taste test various Ole Smoky Moonshine and Whisky! Of course, we had to buy some of our favorites! Strawberry Lemonade, Mango Habanero, Mint Chocolate Chip and Root Beer to name a few!!! Gracie was our bar tender and she was wonderful! Very personable and gave us ideas on how to use the spirits, more than just sipping or taking a shot! Great addition to our vacation fun!

Fun way to taste whiskey from all around and some that are unique to this location. Their tastings are reasonably priced for what you get to sample, and the cost is made up, mostly, if you buy products afterwards. We really liked all of the samples and our host was fun and enjoyable to chat with.

been a fan of Ole Smoky for a while but never came to this location. Went with my boyfriend and did a tasting with Johnny and he’s awesome. He was entertaining, friendly and informative. We came back the next day to get a shirt and he recognized us and was so nice again. He deserves a raise :)

Went for a tasting with our family this week. Tony was our bartender and kept us laughing through the entire experience. Introduced us to so many new flavors, and we bought so much more than we'd planned to. Then Isaiah helped us at checkout and was exceptional!

We did the $10 tasting and our bartender Lynette was great!! We ended up leaving with 6 bottles!

We did the tasting and our bartender was Jess, she was so informative and fun! Would reccomend trying all of the flavors (I hadn't tried most of them!) We got lots of awesome apparel and a bottle, with the $5 off coupon.

Enjoyed tasting with our group of 8 last week, really fun atmosphere, Anthony our bartender was great. Quite a variety of flavors and qualities to choose from. Pro tip: buy enough to get the "free" wagon to wheel your bottles home....

Great place conveniently located downtown Gatlinburg great selection five dollar tasting and reasonable prices with discounts. Highly recommend for a quick stop for whiskey and flavored moonshine.

So not only do you get to taste the products here, they also sell t shirts, hats, magnets and other items here. I was very exicited to visit this store because it is my brand of choice when im home. You have to have a id for sure. They will only let you sample if you buy an item from their store. They also have some promotion going on where you visit all three locations and get a stamp. If you go to all three locations and get the stamps, you get a free t shirt. The catch is you have to buy items at each store. The pass port looks like it doesn't have an expiration date on it. They have a moon shine still out front as a prop in the window. I do not know if it's made at this location, but I think it's just a store for selling the products.

April 2023 - came here to try some moonshine. Very good selection and the staff was awesome. Thank you for helping us with questions. We bought 3 bottles and got a lunch bag for free. All of it was great. The mint was my favorite.

I recently visited the distillery and had a fantastic shopping experience! I stumbled upon some great deals on t-shirts and was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional customer service provided by Israel H. He was friendly, engaging, and went out of his way to ensure that I had a memorable experience. I'm looking forward to returning to try out the tastings and explore more of what this distillery has to offer. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to this establishment, and give it a solid 5-star rating!

A must to stop at If you like to drink and taste test whiskey and moonshine. Very friendly people. I love them all in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. My all time fave one is the one that carry mostly moonshine. Beautifully decorated. The band was awesome.

We got to try 7 different whiskeys and each one was phenomenal. We came for the tasting but really stayed for the comedy of the host serving. Each one created a unique experience for the visitors and that's what I love most about this location. Plus, it's a part of the smoky mountain moonshine trail- visit all 3 and get a free t-shirt! They change up the color of the free t-shirt and it's always really soft.

My wife and I stopped in at the Ole Smokey Barrelhouse as we walked around Gatlinburg. The staff was extremely friendly and engaging. The store is packed with great options from whiskey to merchandise. Make sure if you are In the area you stop in and walk around.

Had a great time at the Barrelhouse. We was able to sample 13 different whiskey and Moonshine for $5. The good news is they give you a $5 coupon to use at the store. When sampling it goes super fast and hard to remember what you just tasted.

Ole Smokey is a must do for gatlinburg and is a staple of the town. There are two locations within a half mile of each other - one for whiskey and one for moonshine. This location is for whiskey (although they carry moonshine as well). So during the tasting, you’re going to get more whiskey than moonshine. For $5, you get to try 9 different flavors from apple pie to cookie dough whiskey. The customer service was fantastic, and not only was the product incredible but their merch shop was top notch. We will definitely be enjoying the 6 bottles of Ole Smokey we took home.

Casey was FANTASTIC for our tasting. Hilarious, friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend for anyone in town to stop by for a tasting and definitely see Casey if you get the chance
