Kasra Persian Grill

Everything was full of flavor- the best was the meat tenderloin. I would skip the ground chicken kabob again, the banger chicken was was better. Bread, cheese, herbs 🌿 great at your table. Good dining experience! Loved the rice. We had leftovers for sure.

Update Mar 2024. They just renovated. Service was spot on this rime around.

The BBQ meat in particular the lamb was outstanding. Perfectly cooked and moist inside. Had a few stews which were good but definitely preferred the BBQ. Free flow of bread which was also very good.
Place was crowded and had a Ling line when I left. Service could be better.

This food is delicious, packed with flavor, so fresh tasting and it’s all made from scratch! I’ve had almost everything on the menu and I recommend it all. The women that own it are kind and care a great deal about the food they are preparing for you. 100% must try for anyone who likes Persian food! I was on a business trip and found this place by asking Siri what restaurants were close to me. It took a few mins for someone to greet me (not sure why as there were several employee's standing around who saw me), but after I was seated the entire experience was delightful! My server was S. Small. She was extremely helpful and attentive. I had not been to a restaurant like that before so I wasn't sure what the proper way to eat the bread herbs and cheese were. She patiently explained it to me. The bread was fresh and hot. Also, there was a delicious berry spice on the table that tasted great. (Wish I could find that locally.) I ordered the Kubideh Combo with beef and chicken with full adas rice. It was absolutely delicious! If I return to Houston, I will definitely return to this restaurant. I wish there was one in North Carolina!😊

So I’ve been coming to Kasra for yearssss.
Now they have different locations which I’m extremely happy for them.
My friends and I have been coming here since we were in high school and any time I’m in the area, I either eat lunch here or bring food home for dinner. Even if I’m all by myself, I’ll have lunch and tend to over order cause it’s so hard to pick.

I always start with the hummus, it’s so garlicky good, not too thick too.
Then I order the beef kubideh, it’s mixed with onion and garlic and then cooked over a grill. The rice with it comes with butter and the charred tomatoes..mmm!
My boyfriend will get the chicken Barg. Also cooked on the grill, always so tender!
And they love to give you so much bread!

Today I’m providing pictures of my ToGo order, but next time I’ll dine in.
It’s exciting cause they’ve expanded and it looks beautiful!

The owner is super sweet, I know he works hard cause I over heard the waiters saying he needs a vacation, but it shows in that restaurant the dedication he puts in.

Absolutely delicious! Customer service was excellent the food was heavenly. Loved the hummus and eggplant dip. The steak cubes were so tender and melt in your mouth. The best steak I've ever had. Bread was warm and soft. Persian tea was delicious. This place deserves more than 5 stars. Definitely a gem.

We always love to go to Kasra Persian Grill. It's one of the most consistent Persian food and we love it. It has always been classy very clean and well-maintained. I have even visited the Rice Village location and will leave a review of that location too.
They are always very quick to seat you and immediately they welcome you with warm bread, Radish, mint, and soft cottage cheese. Hot bread always tastes yummy. I wish they did give you some butter just in case you are like me and love eating salted butter and hot bread.
I always get the black tea and the small sugar cubes that remind me of my time in the Middle East.
The eggplant Kashke Bademjan (warm eggplant dip) and hummus dip are always stellar and some of the best starters.
They have different Meat dishes to choose from and you can get the ground kababs or grilled meats. The different kinds of rice are awesome too. Our Favorite is the cranberry/cherry rice with some pats of butter (Butter makes everything better).
We normally get the family platter and enjoy all the varieties of meats and three kinds of rice. A must-try for a bigger group.
Always love Kasra and it is one of the better Persian places in the city.

I recently visited the Persian Kabab restaurant in Houston, TX, and had an exceptional dining experience. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by Mehrdad, who showed me to my table promptly. He took the time to thoroughly explain the menu and helped me choose the perfect dishes. The food quality was outstanding, and I was impressed by the attentive customer service throughout my meal. The staff, including Mehrdad, ensured everything was to my liking, making me feel valued as a customer. The restaurant's commitment to excellent service and delicious food is evident. I highly recommend this hidden gem for a delightful Persian cuisine experience!

Still dreaming about the food at Kasra almost two weeks later! So yummy! I ordered through Uber eats and I could tell immediately that my order was packaged and prepared with so much quality and care. I wanted to order Kasra because I heard they serve large portions but because I was ordering through Uber eats I was expecting to recieve smaller portions.. I did not! I ordered one Kubideh combo, extra rice, extra veggies, and an extra half skewer of chicken kabob… I binged ate and still had enough to meal prep with lol
I can not end this review without giving an honorable mention to this beautiful bread. I think I got it because I also ordered the hummus. I want to call it a pita bread, but it’s is much more outstanding than just a pita. I never would have expected to recieve such a beautiful, golden-baked, warm, puffy, toasted treat. Each of these breads are about 8 inches wide and I got three of them!..the picture does no justice.. this entire meal was an experience I really can’t stop thinking about. Every single thing I ordered was tender and delicious. Flavorful and authentic, I feel like I could feel the warmth of the hands who made it. I’m waiting to have the opportunity to go sit and dine in, this restaurant really set the bar high for Houston restaurants. Best Persian food I have had in years <3

Wow. Wowowowow on so many levels.

Our server, Rashel, was so kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. We had lots of questions, and she had all the answers and recommendations. Such a solid part of the experience.

We got the appetizer combo with cream feta, cucumber sauce, and hummus, and everything was delicious. My wife and I were ready to lick the plates if nobody was looking!

The meats and rices were delicious as well. Cranberry rice and dill/fava paired with filet, grilled chicken, and Cornish game hen with some fire roasted veggies.

Flatbread with herbs and feta to start was a nice touch.

Everything was FANTASSSTIC. Can’t wait to go back!

This place has lovely ambience. The decor has panache and personality that so many places try to hit but miss. The servers were prompt and polite. Even kind enough to offer us bread and salad when we sat down. The food is delicious and not overpriced. Hearty portions. Very limited parking though.

This is a gem! Salad was so... fresh and kabobs was excellent. I hope they finished their outdoor space.

We visited the Kasra in rice village - first & foremost loved the ambience, the paintings it’s a beautiful restaurant. Plan a dinner for special occasion, food and ambience it’s worth the celebration.We were very new to persian food so tried the family platter for 6 which came with all their appetizer and 3 rice varieties. It was great portion size and we had to take some of it to go. My fav were their dill dabs bean rice so simple yet flavorful, chicken kubideh and lamb shank were the best.

We had an excellent meal, and excellent service here last night! I had the salmon kebab, which was delicious. The hummus has lots of garlic, so it’s excellent. My husband’s lamb was so tasty. Our server, Chris did a great job! We will definitely return.

We come in a newbies to Persian food. We were promptly and kindly seated. Our sever not of Middle Eastern decent was EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the food! He assisted us on our appetizers and entrees. The food was very tasty. If you’re not used to this type of food you or you do not enjoy venturing out like myself and my family do, may not like it. I am very happy to say we will be repeat customers!
You know how Tex-Mex places bring chips and salsa and Italian places bring bread and olive oil? They bring out a type of salad which included parsley, fresh basil, radish etc along with a type of flat bread. We enjoyed it very much! Also the house dressing was YUMMMMY!

This has been a favorite place to enjoy Persian food for many years. A charming restaurant that has been well decorated. A very inviting patio area is available to dine on. The service is friendly, fast, and knowledgeable. The owner is always sweet. The food! Oh, the food. Fresh, well plated, and simply delish!! You won't be disappointed.
