HCA Florida Trailwinds Village Emergency

The staff is great at this ER. I have been there twice as a patient, and I had a very positive outcome both times. I am very grateful for the people who work there, especially Laurie Esdale.

Had the pleasure of coming here when I was in pain due to GI issues. I was irritable due to the pain. The staff was understanding and very nice. A big shout out to Debbie. She was patient with me and had me laughing before I was discharged. Would definitely recommend this facility. UPDATE 12/7 I just read some more of these reviews and feel I should add more. This is an ER, not a clinic or PCP. Those complaining about follow-up need to understand the function of an ER.

Despite being a busy Saturday the staff handled my problem as quickly as possible. Staff was polite, professional, and made me comfortable during the many tests etc.

I was just going to 'examine' the woodcarving I'd worked on earlier in the day and, without thinking, picked up a few knives and started carving, forgetting to put on my gloves. After a slip of the knife that went through my index finger, I headed straight to the closest stand-alone ER. They did a great job! Got me in immediately (as I was bleeding profusely), gave me a tetanus shot and a few stitches and I was good to go.
I was able to start carving again within 2 wks. Lesson learned!!! Don't mess with big Hospital ER. If you live between Seabreeze Rec Center and Hwy 44, go to HCA Florida ER on 466A next to the Burger King at Trailwinds:

Went in yesterday for chest presser and rapid heartbeat. Was taken in right away. Cannot praise the staff enough. They were very professional and kept me appraised of everything. Nurse Laurie,Nurse Suzanna and Dr. Reed were fantastic.

I have had 3 occasions to go to trail.Winds and I can't say enough good things about It. I am shocked when I read some of these reviews because I was treated better there than any ER I ever went to including the gentleman at the door, the nurses and the doctor who treated me.

My husband and I were very impressed with the professional, yet personalized and efficient care I received last week at Trailwinds ER. I’m a medical professional with a background in clinical supervision . When I go to a medical facility I am always looking at how the office operates as well as how care is given. I had heard good reviews about Trail Winds and was not disappointed. We were greeted the moment we walked through the doors. A RN walked us to our exam room, took my vitals and we had a PA-C with us in less than 5 minutes. She asked the right questions, treated us with respect and thoroughly explained everything related to her diagnosis and treatment plan to us. She, of course answered all of our questions. Our RN, Barbara, was knowledgeable, personable and competent. Our registration took a matter of minutes and we were sent home with a summary of care and medication.
If we ever need urgent medical care again Trail Winds will be our choice. We certainly felt (&feel) confident in their care!

I am so happy this facility is only 7 minutes from my home. I entered around 2:00 am and was seen immediately. A CT scan showed a 7mm kidney stone. Medication was called to my pharmacy at 3:15 am and I was advised to see my urologist within 24 hours. Two nurses and the doctor were very professional. I remember giving them a hug and telling them Thank You.!

My third visit in 2 years. I wouldn't go anywhere else. From the welcoming greeting as you enter, to the outstanding, caring, knowledgeable and excellent medical care. It's unfortunate that I had three occasions in 2 years to need an emergency room, but I am very fortunate to have found this location at Trailwinds.
I had the necessary ultrasound, CT, x-rays and blood work, as well as EKG and whatever else I needed. And I had the results before I left. I could not ask for anything better. And there is a short waiting time. Just plain excellent. Thank you!

Came in with a deep cut on my finger, they were were very good taking care of me. The nurse was excellent, he told me what to expect, can't remember his name, but was good. Then Dr. Johnson came in and took care of me. Gave me a injection to numb my finger and then gave me 7 sutures, didn't feel a thing. Wrapped my finger up, gave me instructions of how to take care of it and sent me home. I am fine. I would go there again, if needed.

My wait was very short 5 to 10 minutes in the waiting room. It was empty when I went . The man at the front desk was very nice and accommodating he even helped my husband with the sign in machine. Gave me a wheel chair to sit in so I didn’t have to walk when they called me back. When I got in the room the DR and nurses were already in there waiting. They immediately started asking all the questions and hooking me up. Everything went fast. I was diagnosed and released by 2:00 pm. The only complaints and I can’t really call one a complaint but the nurse was a bit rough on 2 occasions. And at the end the Doctor asked if I had any questions I said no cause I was trying to process all the information I was just given. I really wish he had explained my diagnosis in more detail that’s the only thing I wish was different but my overall experience was good. .

While no one wants to end up in an emergency room I am glad I ended up at this one. Everyone was so professional and very fast and efficient. They all worked together like one unit. I felt at ease once I got there and they started their process of working on me. I was able to leave after a few hours comfortable I was good to go.

I may have thought my visit was frivolous, But the staff did not treat me like it was. They were professional and caring. Ran tests, game me a small script and told me to see my personal physician with in 3 days. I did and was diagnosed. Will be on my way to all well soon

Excellent care beyond my expectations! My nurse Denise was very attentive to my urgent care, as well as the doctor on staff. The ambulatory center was pristine, comfortable patient rooms with privacy. I tried minute clinics and other urgent care for my respiratory infections without success. Professional, compassionate knowledgeable staff. Thank you for your help!

I got in to see the nurse within 5 minutes of arrival. She took my vitals and then within 15 minutes the doctor came in so see me.
They got a script set up for me to take care of my issue and I was out of there within a total of 70 minutes after doing the insurance work. I must say it was 7am on a Saturday morning and the center was quiet.

I took my mom and she was seen within 5 minutes. All diagnostics were completed, the doctor spoke to us directly and it was a very good experience. We have been here before in the last 2 years (3 times) and each time was consistently professional, quick and thorough. She had CT, X-ray, blood and urine screen all completed there. It was a relief for her to get quick care that ruled in and ruled out medical issues. Highly recommend!

No one at front desk. Had to sign in before they would come out. If my wife was not with me, I could not have been signed in.
Everyone was great with one exception.. The lady doctor was really caring. X-ray tech was wonderful. The man was terrible. I do not know his position but he was extremely rude. Nasty. Ruined what otherwise was a very professional, efficient experience. Doug Pearl

The process was exceptionally professional. Admission was quick. Nurse attending thorough and pleasant. Doctor was thorough, recommended an X-ray which was quickly administered. Diagnosis was reached, proscribed course of action clearly explained, and all was well until process for payment. The remoter conversation, via screen, was horrendous. Took too much time - actually longer than examination and diagnosis. Video transmission was out of sync, representative was difficult to understand.
Will I return? If I need emergency medical aid, I most certainly will. Will I Iike the payment process? NO.

Dr. Leon provided exceptional care to me at my visit. My wait time was@ 8 minutes and I was seen immediately. The ultrasound tech was friendly and efficient. All in all the staff made an unfortunate occurrence a pleasant visit.

The staff and doctor were very nice and professional. As an injured person, I kept thinking it took a long time. The checkout using the ipad woman was probably better than typing in all the information. All in all, a pretty good and efficient operation. Thanks! I'd use you again but I hope not to.
