Top Out Café

Can't ask for a better Cafe inside a climbing gym. Sandwiches are top notch - especially that crispy fluffy bread they use. Drinks are invigorating. Freshly made and on point. And they even have a great beer selection. Plenty of space and seating to work, read, or socialize. Perfect spot!!!

Super cool vibe. Lots of table space if you need to work. The staff was exceptional and the food was delicious.

Phenomenal food and drinks. Was surprised to find so many allergen friendly options. One of the cities BEST VEGAN grilled cheese is hiding in this gem. The manager is one of the most patient, kindest and forgiving people I've ever met. But that grilled cheese is like heaven for your taste buds, the rosemary paired with walnut Parmesan 🤌

The service is friendly and fast. The people that work behind the counter are excited to take your order and eager to ensure your order is customized to your liking.

I typically get the same thing each time I come here (Chicken Bacon Ranch Panini). Each time it is great and really hits the spot.

I ordered a drink that wasn’t on their menu (a London Fog) and they happy to accommodate me.

The Top Out Cafe is a great little cafe to sit with a book and socialize with some of the coolest people in Indianapolis!

It was my first time in here, I was a bit confused on entering but I found the cafe & I wasn’t disappointed. It’s a really nice chill spot, either with friends or alone. There is also rock climbing & a gym. Definitely recommend!

Good coffee! I’m impressed since it’s in a gym. Not the most likely place in my opinion for a good cup of joe. Worth it if you’re there. I guess I wouldn’t ever go out of my way as nothing stands out as unique in the drinks and the atmosphere is nothing too incredible. But we live in Avon. If you live nearby, definitely worth it.

The vegan grilled cheese is sooooooo bomb, yall. I could only eat half so I’ve got some for later 🥰
And this beet vegetable soup shocked the hell outta me. So good! I’ll definitely be going back for more.

I love rotting in the cafe after a workout. It is quite literally my favorite thing to do. It is so easy to do here. The atmosphere is top notch, great food, great staff. Love love love

Excellent food, good coffee, just know that you’re coming to a climbing gym to eat, so it’s not really a place where non-climbers are likely to enjoy themselves.

We just finished climbing at North Mass and decided to pop upstairs for a drink and that was the best decision of the day. Lydia was so amazing and friendly. The tap blew on the kombucha before the glass was full. She not only replaced the tap quickly but was very clear that the flavor had changed. She also gave us some of the new flavor to make up the difference. 10 out of 10. She made our day.

Every dish we’ve had here has been incredible, from salads, açaí bowls, duck confit, and sandwiches

The majority of the staff is exuberant and engaging, Meg and Jackie continuously go out of their way to make the food not only delicious but visually appealing. The ginger white chocolate latte is very sweet but ginger syrup( made in house) is pleasantly spicy and comforting. I love the simultaneously amiable and motivational atmosphere of the upstairs and encouraging and supportive community that has built itself in the climbing gym downstairs. My only complaint is the employee “Keith”? upstairs whom I witnessed making loud uncomfortable comments to some of the female workers upstairs.

I came as part of a queer coffee group today, and the coffee here is NOTABLY smooth and delicious. The Blueberry Lemon Cold Brew of the day was delicately flavored, but was also flavor-forward with no bite.

I also got a hot mocha with coconut milk. I spilled half of it on myself and the very comfy couch. The barista offered to (and did) refill my spilled drink. And it is so good. This mocha is creamy, smooth, and the perfect temperature.

One of my favorite places to come for lunch or to escape the office and get some work done. You don’t have to be a member of the gym to come here! Just walk inside north mass, turn right, and hidden upstairs is this wonderful gem! Lots of coffee options and their chicken, bacon, ranch panini literally changed my life (for the better). Staff is always friendly and ready with recommendations if you need them!

First time here and won’t be my last. The pistachio bowl is what I had. Yes you heard that correctly, Pistachio Butter bowl was great! A reason for me to make a follow up visit. The staff was great and it’s a pretty cool atmosphere. I’ll admit I hesitated at first walking into a rock climbing gym but I’m glad I did. Pistachio bowl makes my top 3 of all time, still on my Açaí bowl tour.

Amazing food, the most welcoming and down to earth staff, great service, and an amazing atmosphere. North Mass & Top Out Cafe really checks all the boxes for amazing experience.

Good people deserve recognition. Treating people like people deserves recognition.

Insanely good food! This is the best Acai bowl i've ever been able to find in Indianapolis and also somehow the most affordable! The cold brew is also outstanding. I cannot wait to try out the rest of the menu!!!
