Absolutely LOVED it. We recently went vegan and this was our first outing at a vegan restaurant (not many in the area). The food was beyond delicious. These quesadillas are honestly the best ever - even if you're not vegan.

Update II: food is always amazing and customer service is awesome! I highly recommend the spinach dip.

Update: my friends and I like coming here about every other week now and our last visit we were given one bill. We were not asked if there were separate bills, they just took our order like normal. When we asked for them to split it (there were four of us, but we needed it three separate bills) the waitress told us she couldn’t split the bill with four or more parties; we’ve eaten here before and had separate bills so I’m not sure what changed. It would’ve been nice to know ahead of time, but we figured it out.

Amazing food! Nice little place for a lunch meet up with friends

I've been wanting to try this place and finally made it. Cool art on the walls. Small and intimate. Amazing food. What more could you ask for?

So far I've eaten at High Note Cafe once, a couple weeks ago. I have wanted to try them for a while, but we usually order delivery through Door Dash or the like. According to the High Note Cafe website, they "do not participate with third party online ordering" which is a shame because I really liked their food!! It was a hot day, but still nice enough to sit outside. Their outdoor seating area only has a few small tables, but there was a canopy over a couple of them so we had a pleasant time. To drink, I had my server's recommendation: a mix of their jasmine green and hibiscus iced teas. So perfect on a hot summer afternoon~ To eat, I ordered the French dip and the tomato coconut basil soup, the latter being served with the same housemade bread that the French dip was made with. That BREAD ✨🍞🤤💖 The server (who was awesome all around) asked if it was alright that the soup order was basically going to double my bread intake, but after I ate it, I was sooo happy that I got so much. It was somehow both hearty and light, crumbly and robust, just the most amazing texture and flavor. I'm definitely ordering another bread thing next time I visit, which will be quite soon, since I'm keeping High Note Cafe on my Sunday lunch date rotation! The only negative was that my French dip sandwich wasn't very dippable. The filling fell out constantly, whether trying to dip or just taking a bite (I started spooning the dip onto the sandwich, which did help a bit) so my hands were just covered in filling and sauce by the end. Since the sandwich was so mindblowingly delicious, I wasn't put off by it, but I would like if there was some way to make the sandwich dippable, lol. Other than that, I had a great time here (quick mention that the soup was also stunningly delicious; never would have thought to put tomato with coconut but it WORKS 🤤) and I can't wait to go back!

P.S. They give a discount if you pay with cash; something to keep in mind for the budget-conscious.

Update, 30 July 2023: Ate inside this time! It's a bit small but cozy and fun. The French Dip is no longer on the brunch menu. It was replaced with something much less messy: the "Habanero Hominy Queso-Rito". The arugula was distractingly bitter against the rest of the ingredients but overall it was super yummy and I'd order it again! The crispy tortilla was sooo delicious~ For my drink this time, I tried the Blueberry Basil Lemonade, which was sweet, fragrant, and cold, perfect for a hot summer day!

Serving vegan food only. I'm not a vegan but tried their food. The food was delicious and the waitress was informative of the ingredients in each dish. I will visit this restaurant again. This is a small dining room, but great atmosphere. Service great and price reasonable.

Finally visited this amazing little vegan spot for brunch on Sunday! The service was amazing, our server just started there and was such a sweet angel! The food was so flavorful and blew my expectations out of the water, plus the homemade bread was to die for. Love this spot and will be retuning! Thank you!

Traveling from North Carolina to Oregon, and stopped in Boise just to try High Note Cafe, food and service were absolutely fantastic!!

Vegan only restaurant. Small space that is well designed and comfortable, ambiance is on point.

Food was delicious! Drinks were superb. Friendly staff.

We went on a Saturday and there was only one server for all of the tables. If the restaurant had a flat top, not griddles, to cook the food with, I could see the process speeding up. It’s worth the wait, but we were there 2.5 hours, an hour longer than a typical restaurant.

This is my favorite restaurant in all of Idaho! The only 100% cruelty-free vegan restaurant in town because they truly care about animals, amazing food, friendly staff, and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Completely animal AND human friendly!

Stopped here twice while passing through town for work. It was sooooo good!! I got both the pesto sandwhich (I think?) and the french dip. Both were fantastic. The waitress was so sweet! You won't regret stopping in!

I had the pesto sandwich with spinach soup and it was delicious! My date had the habañero melt with tomato soup. Not gonna lie I took a bite and it was amazingly good flavor. We finished it off with their vegan carrot cake and we LOVED IT!

Friendly and attentive staff. Delicious food! I had the High Note Potatoes and that was the best potato hash I've ever had. Yum!! I also had a couple mimosas and loved the flavor options (strawberry rose and a blueberry basil). It's a nice change to the classic mimosa.

The High Note Cafe is one of my favorite restaurants and I am not a vegan. Their food tastes so fresh, homemade and delicious! The servers are incredibly nice and really bend over backwards to make you feel comfortable. I really can’t say enough about how much I enjoy coming here. You won’t go wrong with the steak curl nachos and get the large one because yes, you will eat it all.

I've been coming to High Note regularly this entire year. The owner is inspirational and her staff are friendly and professional.

High Note is a delicious place to eat. Vegan food is just regular food. So if you are curious and want to try some good food, eat at High Note!

First off the staff rocks, always very kind and give great recommendations if you’re stuck between items!

They do a great job at having a wide range of options! Breakfast burritos the size of my head, delicious soup & salads, sandwiches on homemade bread!

Never disappointed, love going, and highly suggest you give it a try!

Vegetarian and Vegan options that you feel GOOD after eating, not just vegan junk food!

My business partner and I get pick up through High Note on a regular basis. Some of the best food I’ve EVER had. I don’t eat vegan regularly, but it blows restaurants of all kinds out of the water. My mouth waters just thinking about eating there again. Last time I ordered I had the habanero melt and haven’t stopped thinking about it. Everything I’ve had is incredible. Not to mention the kind and thoughtful service. Thank you so much for being amazing!

What a great experience. 💯 vegan menu in the cutest little cafe. Each dish we tried had great flavors. Casual experience. It’s a great little breakfast/lunch cafe translated into a vegan menu experience without compromising the flavors and heart feel of a cafe/diner. We loved it.

Wowza! High Note Cafe's butternut squash soup is tasty and delicious. It's richly flavored and just right for an autumn day. What a treat to live in a city that has a successful vegan restaurant offering a varied menu. My non-vegan friends love High Note Café too.

This is my all time favorite place to eat! Food is SO GOOD and everyone working there is so incredibly sweet. Highly recommend the breakfast burrito and the gyro, but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
