The location, the decor and the food is a whole experience. Definitely in my top 10 Hattiesburg spots. Every dish is packed with complex and savory elements. The steak quality left a bit to be desired but the flavor more that made up for it. Prices are very reasonable. I have a feeling we’ll be coming back soon.

Amazing modern, upscale restaurant in downtown with amazing staff, fantastic drinks and delicious multi course meals that also include modified gluten free dishes for every course.

The entire staff are top notch! Very friendly, attentive waiters and bartender and everyone is committed to creating a great experience for patrons, from start to finish.

The manager was super friendly and made sure we enjoyed our meal and our visit.

The building and ambience reminds us of New Orleans and includes a beautiful garden outside and inside gorgeous decor, jazz and deco art, beautiful chandeliers and place settings.

Really enjoyed our time here and a must visit while visiting Hattiesburg, Mississippi!

Buschman Street Cafe was definitely a highlight during my first visit to Hattiesburg. They have a wonderfully delightful atmosphere and an excellent wait staff. Their specialty drinks are thoughtfully crafted, and the menu has a great selection of elevated dishes to choose from. I enjoyed the Triple Tail. However, I thought it was slightly overseasoned (but I have a salt bias). I also enjoyed having my food served in extremely HOT plates. It allowed more time to savor your bites without the worry of your food cooling down. Highly recommend.

Truly Amazing. Little piece of culinary heaven nestled near the train depot in old Hattiesburg. My wife and I took her mother there for mother's day and the owner, staff and food were outstanding. Highly recommend. Ask for the cheese cake it's made there and was delicious.

This was mine and my wife's first time hear, and it was awesome. Totally different experience from anywhere else can go around hattiesburg. Our waiter was awesome, very nice and professional, and willing to answer any questions we had. The staff was definitely on top of everything tonight. They are a little pricey but definitely worth it. The food is absolutely amazing. We will definitely be back.

The ambiance of the restaurant is fabulous. The violinist was amazing. Our waiter was very informative and knowledgeable about the items on the menu. The appetizer was excellent as well as the meal. The crab cakes are the best in Hattiesburg and the Monte Cristo and chips were delicious. The owner visited our table and we had a very stimulating conversation about the meal. I will definitely be dining there soon.

My son turned 20 on 2/27 and Tony treated our guest and I like royalty. The food was delicious and the service was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced! I hear brunch is spectacular so I’m definitely coming back. Love this place!!

On the road, stopped in for a quick dinner and was blown away with the place. From the cocktails to the crabcakes to the dinner everything was top shelf. Service was excellent. If your in the area definitely worth a visit.

Menu is unique and a true tribute to elevated southern cuisine in every way. Impeccably done and a “can’t miss” for foodies! Will definitely be back for dinner!

This restaurant is amazing with great food, service, and atmosphere. I had the crab cakes, mixed green salad, and osso bucco(life changing 10/10 highly recommend). I travel for work and will be making this a must go to anytime I am in the area.

Our party of 12 arrived early for our reservation, but they were graciously able to seat us right away. Our meal was amazing from start to finish. The crab cakes were a particular favorite but really all of the food was delicious and well prepared. The service was great: friendly, attentive and very personable. Really just an overall pleasurable dining experience. A real local gem.

Spencer is the very best and all of his food recommendations were spot on! The owner, Terry, was very welcoming and checked in to make sure everything was to our liking. We were allowed to have our dog at the outside seating area. This is an amazing and relaxing place. We will definitely be back!

The best crab cakes in Hattiesburg. Buschman is Paradise for the Foodie. This is one of the best dessert selections, and the execution and attention to detail are exquisite. Now, if you are willing to commit to visiting the bar, many pleasures await.

There are no shortages of places to eat in Hattiesburg, and over the years we’ve eaten at just about all them. However, it’s been a long time since we’ve eaten at a place that absolutely floored us. The last time we were blown away by such great food and service, it was after eating at Gris-Gris in New Orleans a few years ago.
Buschman’s is not the type of restaurant you’d expect in Hattiesburg. It’s more a San Francisco/New York level of fine dining.
When we walked in, we thought maybe they were setting for a large party. All the tables are covered in white linens, silverware and glasses are already set and every employee that sees you welcomes you with a smile. The servers will lay your napkin in your lap, and they know the menu very well and can recommend a perfect wine pairing with each entree.
Be sure to go with an appetite because you’ll want to order appetizer to dessert. We started with the fried green tomatoes with burnt end pork belly and onion jam. If you’ve never had onion jam, go now to this place to try it.
Entrees we had Osso Buco and Triple Tail. Both were absolutely amazing. For dessert it was a chocolate mousse with a fresh brownie hidden inside. The only part of the dessert that was not made in house, was the glass it was served in.
This is NOT a “joint to eat at”. This is a place to experience food, wine and cocktails at their absolute best. They let you take your time so you can relax and enjoy your cocktails, the food and the time with your friends or loved ones.
If you live in the pine belt, or are traveling to the area because of attractions like The Lucky Rabbit (a few blocks over) or Home Town 30 minutes down the road, this is an absolute must experiance restaurant.

Jacob waited on us and was a fabulous server. He explained all the items that we asked about in great detail. We had wine and an ole fashion and soup for our appetizer. Our entrees were great and the desert was fabulous..Overall our 53 wedding anniversary dinner was just fabulous and we really enjoyed the evening.

Fantastic dinner! Try the brie appetizer, you can't go wrong. We had the parmesan crusted pompano and an order of crab cakes. Best crab cakes I've ever had. The gulf came to Hattiesburg. Ever dish I saw coming from the kitchen looked fantastic. Definitely going back to try the osso bucco and/or their ribeye! The owner/chef made sure to greet everyone. Very impressed with the overall ambiance, service, and food. A new must stopwhile in Hattiesburg!!

Wow! What an incredible food experience. This new restaurant is a gem. Beautiful decor, well trained waitstaff, full bar, and a well rounded menu of total deliciousness!
