The Tilted Windmill - An Eclectic Cafe

What a spot! My mom told me about this place knowing I'd love it, so when we were passing through town we stopped for tea & a treat before closing. It was so lovely. Ellie & Steven were very accommodating & kind to us. The tea was delightful, & so was the lemon poppy/limoncello icing muffin + the blueberry brandy cookie. Mmmm mm good. I will be back the next time I'm around ♡ thank you for the hospitality!

I’ve eaten here twice and today took my son for breakfast. First of all, the atmosphere is unique because it’s open, yet has a cozy and welcoming feel to it. The staff is so down to earth and check to see how the meal is regardless of whether busy or not. Today I had the pecan bourbon and my son the raspberry. He was surprised at how good it was and I was again happily shocked at the flavor. The food is carefully prepared and the flavor is the perfect balance of what it’s supposed to be (not one ingredient overpowering the other). We also had Carmel fraps and again, both is appreciating the flavor. I definately recommend eating here. I didn’t get a picture of his meal because he starting eating before I had camera out. These photos are of todays and the breakfast I had prior. The presentation was prettier than the one photo shows (no fruit. And French toasts position on image, but I started to get ready to dig in moving food around in the plate, and remembered to take a photo so I could leave a review with photo :)

The cold brew from here is really really good. I have tried cold brew from a lot of places and have always been put off but this was the first place were I actually enjoyed it! Ellie is so sweet as well she catered to me and checked in on me and my coffee! Will be coming back for the cold brew ! Also the pricing is very affordable and reasonable!!! Definitely recommended stopping by

This is a must see when in Brenham. From the moment you walk in the lead glass door, you're in a special place. Ellie and company buy the best quality ingredients and make everything on-site. I had the Monte sandwich, which is a turkey sandwich. I've reviewed restaurants all over the world, so it takes a lot to surprise me. This sandwich not only surprised me but was absolutely the best I've ever had . Bread is made in house and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Raspberry liquor sauce on the turkey is stunningly wonderful. Highly recommend you try it.
Desert comes with the meal. I had warm pumpkin bread. Best I've ever tasted. I highly recommend you go there. It has my highest endorsement as one of the best sandwich restaurants in the country. Food made and served with love, try it!

First stop in at this establishment and it was memorable the ambience just invited you to stay awhile. The Heath & White Wolf hot coffee was magnificent very flavorsome, fragrant and creamy & deeply rich in flavor.. The oatmeal and pumpkin muffins were soft and fluffy just decadent.. so many selections of coffee and teas hot, blended or iced..

Perfect lunch spot for enjoying a GREAT cup of coffee or tea, catching up with a friend, or even getting some work done. The atmosphere is calming. The young man who was our server/barista was extremely attentive and friendly. I ordered a iced matcha latte with pineapple, he suggested oat milk- which made it so much better, I give it a 10/10! I ordered The Full Monte which was very different from any sandwich I’d ever tried, but to say it was delicious is an understatement! My sandwich was served with a delicious side salad and my meal even came with dessert- a pumpkin cream cheese muffin.. which was out of this world good! Suuuuper moist, not too sweet, & RICH with pumpkin. Overall this place exceeded my expectations, even after I had read so many other 5 star reviews prior to my visit! If you love coffee or tea, a relaxing atmosphere, and good quality, FRESH ingredients, combined in mouth watering ways.. You HAVE to try this place!!

I was lucky enough to visit for my first time during their first breakfast service and it was phenomenal! The bourbon peach french toast was absolutely delicious, and would pretty much be worth the drive from Austin just for that. The service was surprisingly fast and the staff were all super helpful and friendly. Don't forget your dessert on the way out!

I will definitely make it a priority to stop in here when I'm out this way again.

Really great lattes and good food! Really liked the grilled cheese and tomato soup, the blue bayou monte (the salad that came with it was really good too), and the white wolf and butter beer lattes.
The people who work there were very nice too!

This is the best place I have ever been, The staff is amazing, and is always willing to help you find the perfect coffee or tea! Their breakfast and lunch are amazing! I have never been disappointed by the food! Some days the food takes longer than others depending on how many people are in there but I promise you... IT IS WORTH THE WAIT! And do NOT get me started on the desserts. They are the best thing ever, they are so creative with their flavors and always have something everyone will love! My favorites: Any of the teas that come with lemonade, The Doc Holiday (Grilled Cheese and tomato soup), The Millennium Falcon (Fancy Avocado Toast), pumpkin bread, and the orange cranberry cookies!

This place is awesome! Was passing thru Brenham and needed a place to work for a couple of hours. The staff treated me like family stopping by... my coffee was BOMB... as was the quiche and brownies straight out of the oven. So glad I came here and will definitely be back!

Love visiting the Tilted Windmill for my favorite coffee and teas. The ambience is antique and unique, the employees are authentic and the coffee is strong and delicious. Thankful for the experience. Got to see their new sign going up and am so proud of how far they've come.

One of Brenham’s best kept lunch secrets! I eat here for lunch when I’m in town monthly. They have a small menu but all items taste fresh and delicious. The Reuben is fantastic and portions are just right. Plus I get a scrumptious desert with my meal- brownies are the bomb. Stubborn sodas and a great coffee bar.
I’m told they are going to start breakfast soon! Be sure to stop by, you won’t regret!

I love coming here. It is one of my favorite spots when I come to Brenham. They made some major improvements since I last visited. Stephen was our server, and he made our experience one to remember. I can't wait to go back and visit again.

Great atmosphere,food,and service.Food did take a little while but it was worth it! Wild and different types of tea and coffee available to purchase.

This place was recommended by a local and it did not disappoint! Best coffee we’ve had in Brenham! I ordered an iced chai and it was amazing! My daughter ordered an iced vanilla latte and it was perfect. You must try this place out! The bar is so cool you have to see it in person.

What a fun place!!! When you walk in, you're instantly relaxed. From the relaxing music, to the fun decor, to the warm & friendly staff, to the historic building, this place is beautiful.

The staff and owner are so incredibly kind and helpful! Steven took his time helping guide us through their impressively extensive tea menu to find just the right drinks for us.

Their Rueben is hands down the BEST sandwich I've ever had. Seasoned to perfection and perfectly dressed. The Monte Christo was good too, as was the grilled cheese.

My kiddos ended up splitting the grilled cheese, and when they were still hungry, they brought them out another sandwich on the house. Top notch service, and a kindness you don't find much these days!!!

Drink options galore at this place! They will even take the time to make something extra special just for you. Coffee, tea, inspiring brunch items, outstanding pastries and desserts, what can I say its simply a fun world full of possibilities with fantastic staff. Definitely a new favorite that i can't wait to visit again.

The food and Drinks are one of a kind compared to most Tea shops and Cafes I have been at, it is worth the Trip even just to taste or have a breakfast meet up with Friends out of town. Will be back for more for sure!

Really nice experience all around. Their coffee and tea selection is huge and high quality. Food is really good too, I got the Tomato soup and grilled cheese and really liked it. The restaurant is beautiful and well worth a stop if passing through Brenham.
