Devine Cheese & Wine

Stumbled upon Devine for a late dinner with a friend. Liana took personal care of us and engaged with us at just the right level. The short ribs were super tender and flavorful and my friend said the seafood pasta was seasoned perfectly. The eclectic wine list worked very well with our dinner choices. The Basque cheesecake was the perfect capper. Highly recommend.

Great new discovery for us in San Jose downtown, as a lot of our favorite places disappeared after their pandemic. Amazing variety of cheeses and wines with unique and savory accompaniments, like marinated pine cone jam. Very nice and attentive service. The place is small and quaint - a perfect setting for a little French wine bar. Not a huge dinner menu, but the food is delicious!

WOW - what a gem in downtown SJ! Had a girls night out and we had a great time here. The food is amazing! The menu has plenty of great items and we shared quite a few and left very full! The service was excellent! I highly recommend this 'divine' restaurant!

Why is this place not rammed on a Saturday night? It has gorgeous street-side outside dining which gives a European feel. The menu is a treat; do yourself a favour and order the weird sounding blue cheese s'more. But the star is clearly the create your own cheese plate, with each one paired with something exciting. I'm sober so can't speak to the wine, but vanilla cream soda was a fun alternative to have on the menu. Kevin our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable. San Jose needs to recognise this gem of a restaurant.

The service was some of the best we have ever had. The staff is incredibly helpful in their suggestions. An excellent location to try out various types of cheese with provided pairings (not wine though they have that as well). Cheeses rang from Spain, Italy, France, and so many other locations. I would highly recommend it if cheese is your thing.

Suuuuuuuper cute spot! So happy this exists right by where I work. They brought coupons for WeWork members and offered a happy hour cheese platter with purchase of a bottle of wine.

This will be my regular after work location. The cheese selection is amazing! Can’t wait for the outdoor seating!

Liana and her incredible staff know what they are doing! Creative and always satisfying cheese pairings! I asked her to help me cater an event at my salon. Everyone loved her selection and her presentation was beautiful.

This restaurant is a gem of downtown San Jose. The ambiance is cozy and the service is fantastic. The cheese plate is a must get and always has delicious and unique cheese pairings. You are never rushed, the wine is very reasonably priced and the dinners are delicious. I recently ordered a take home cheese board to serve during the holidays which I'd highly recommend. I couldn't recommend Devine enough!

I love this place! Leona, the owner, is an amazing cheese connoisseur. The wine selection is fabulous and paired very well with the happy hour or dinner menu. I would highly recommend for private parties, dinner or brunch.

We went here for an anniversary dinner and enjoyed every bite! I will absolutely be back.

Wonderful place! The food selection to the cheeses were such a variety. I didn't expect to have entree's at a cheese and wine bar, but I can't wait to go there again !

Another great addition to the area! Great service and selection of wine. I went with 3 people and had a fantastic time. Highly recommended to order the Mac and cheese. I may order an extra just for myself!

We had such a fantastic date night at this beautiful spot. Everything we had was delicious. From the cab to the glorious cheese, you can’t go wrong. Don’t skip the Mac and cheese, seriously!

This place is great! The wine and cheese selection is really good (which you'd expect) but the food is just as tasty. We've been here several times and have been impressed with the menu. They change up the menu periodically and we've never had a bad dish.

Service is good, outdoor seating and street parking.

This is one of my favorite places EVER! If you like wine and cheese, you clearly belong here. However, they also have beer and a cocktail selection and other amazing food options. Nonetheless, the wine is amazing. They have crisp Sauvignon Blancs; buttery Chardonnays; rich, deep Cabernets; bubbly champagne, and so much more. The cheesemonger option on the menu is by far the best choice. You can say what cheese you do not like, and they curate an AMAZING platter. They also have its own accoutrement for each cheese. You would think "cookie butter with cheese??" Then you eat it together, and it's perfect on the crostinis they provide. Simply put, it is like that cute, animated movie, Ratatouille - when he combines the cheese with the strawberry. You close your eyes and taste both flavors in harmony. The scallops are the absolute BEST I have ever ate and the gnocchi is to die for!! I will come here as long as they are open. I honestly wish their hours were longer! But they do not rush you out, which is very nice. They also have very cute events coming up: wine and paint, and cheese tasting. Get on their mailing list! I will be attending both (: I will also probably be updating this review every time I come here and think of something amazing because I seriously love this place. The owner is in here all the time and the waiter is the absolute nicest guy.

Don't know much about wine so I had to be guided through that. The food however, is incredible. Everything is top notch. Cheese selection is the best I've come across. I wish I could come daily.
