Café Patachou

There has always been lots of hype behind Cafe Patachou and I’ve wanted to try it for a long time. I finally got to do so recently.

We came in on a Wednesday at around 12:45 PM and they were a little busy but there was no wait for a table. Our waitress was SUPER friendly and attentive to us. The overall vibe inside is vibrant and cozy.

I got “The Omelette You can’t refuse” which has bacon, potatoes, sour cream, and white cheddar along with a side of sourdough toast. This omelette was incredible! The bacon was crispy, the potatoes were good, and overall it was just fantastic! The sourdough was also super buttery and tasty.

Overall, if you’re in Downtown Indianapolis looking for a great brunch spot, Cafe Patachou is the place to go! I’ll definitely be stopping here again soon.

Really great find in downtown Indianapolis. Excellent breakfast foods. Friendly and efficient service. Warm, inviting and clean space. We will be back! They are known for their omelettes and cinnamon French toast. I recommend both. Coffee is self serve with free refills. Espresso drinks are served.

Great spot. Enjoyed lunch here with a large group and they were awesome - worked with us and made it so smooth and food came out so fast and really good. Then came back for breakfast and really enjoyed it. They Turkey chili was great as was the salad. The ricotta scrambled eggs on toast was great. The cider donut was really good.

This was our first visit. There were six of us. We all ordered different menu items and everything was delicious. The photos are of the hippie omelette with cinnamon bread.. the kids with us ordered the waffle and fruit cup plate. They enjoyed pouring their own syrup from the little container. Our server was very friendly and efficient. We will definitely go again when we’re in the neighborhood.

Wow, what can I say beyond that. The food is delicious, and the service is fast and courteous.
Been here twice. I was looking forward to getting in for lunch again, when I was in Indianapolis a couple of weeks ago. Just as amazing as the first time. You guys are awesome!

1st timer and 10/10!!! I stayed a the Conrad Hotel and the front desk clerk recommended this place and i am glad she did!! It was very busy but there was a great system in place to what have seem to flowed nicely.
Wait was about 25-30 minutes and it was well worth the wait. We chose to sit outside which was perfect. Taylor was our server and she was exceptional. As busy as it was she did very well multitasking and staying attentive to us.
She gave GREAT recommendations and knew the menu well. I was curious about the “Cuban Breakfast” but allergic to pesto but her being knowledge of the menu she explained your version being is as it sounds and I couldn’t have been any happier that I went with it. I was a little thrown off about the rice bottom being not listed on the menu but it was still delicious! Ordered the “Croissant French toast” and it was delicious also. Overall 10/10 Highly Recommend and I’ll be back!!!

I am glad I tried the omelet (create your own) as it was delicious! The amount of food was more than I could handle as the dish provided for an arugula salad and 4 half pieces of toast. The waitress was very attentive and it was easy to conduct a business meeting with great ambiance.

Friendly service. Delicious food. The ricotta scrambled eggs on fresh sourdough with chili flakes on top was so good, I’ll actually try it recreate it at home. 😅

We also had the kids waffles with fruit. The fruit was fresh.

The Lavender mimosa was refreshing … up until the end when I got too sweet for me. Maybe I should have mixed it all up though. 🤭. The other mimosa I had was tasty too. It had a bite to it that was great with the eggs. Can’t recall the name, but it was Red-ish in color.

Clarification: the arugula in the last photo actually came from another dish, but my son ate it so quickly I couldn’t snap a photo! 😋

Amazing breakfast with lots of gluten-free options. We had the avocado toast, bacon, and croissant French toast. The French toast had gr3at flavor with a little carmelization on the outside that gave it an awesome flavor. The mocha and coffee were some of the best I've had. Definitely, going back.

My late morning started with a 45 minute speed date with Olivia on the Peleton….IYKYK. After a real burner, Quadzilla demanded to be fed its first meal of the day. I rolled into Patachou around 1215 on a cold and blustery Saturday and the brunch push was still on, but plenty of seats and no line. There are 5 bar seats and I began the feed. Best part of my New Year so far - complimentary great, hot, basic coffee. No fuss, self serve. Should be a standard. Reference the pic. Want your boujee latte? They can make you one too. Great options on a diverse menu. Lots of sub options for the herbivores, but welcoming to meat eaters like yours truly. Nothing judgy about the place, a trough to welcome all types. I went for the Mckenzie omelette (sp?). Michael working the bar area warned of the omelet’s green hue because of the herbs - not those herbs Cheech. Another great pick on my part. Michael rocks - super cool with the other bar sitters like me that stay longer than we probably should. Live and let live man.

Cafe Patachou is my absolute FAVE when in the Indy area for breakfast! We love to start with one of their mimosas! Their coffee is great too and you can take a to-go cup! We always slpit a sweet and savory because the crossiant french toast is a MUST! The omelet was perfect!

Great place to relax for a while and enjoy a hearty breakfast and unlimited coffee. Self-serve carafes allow you to drink at your pace, which is a welcome change from being metered by the server.

The breakfasts are all over the map but you can't go wrong with an omelette. They're larger than you'd find at a diner and stuffed with high quality ingredients that are full of flavor.

You can expect a lively atmosphere and friendly staff when you visit.

Walking this beautiful Indy downtown on September 1, decided to drop by at Patachou and yes, it was a right choice.
Jeoff offered a great customer experience by recommending delicious food and light, California brewed🤔 drinks.
Pleasant, chilled inside atmosphere and outside patio with the view at Indiana Statehouse welcomes you.
Furthermore, the ordered burger was well done and batteries were a bit on the driver side. Guess what, Jeoff offered to have it redone and it turned out to be right on the spot. Way to go!

I can’t say enough great things about our experience at Café Patachou. Our server was so polite, attentive and just fantastic. Our food came out so surprisingly fast and was delicious. My ricotta scrambled eggs were incredible!

Great gluten free / egg free waffles are tough to find and the server was more than happy to go grab the mix bag so we could snap a photo. If we lived near Indy, this would easily be our regular brunch spot.

Cafe Patachou is my go-to spot, I find myself ordering from here constantly.

This place has become a lunchtime staple for me and never fails to impress with its delicious food. The bakery items are a treat, especially the pistachio cookies. They come in a convenient 3-piece gift pack, perfect for takeout.

For those with dietary restrictions, this place is a haven where you won’t feel left out.

I can’t recommend the Power Bowl with scrambled eggs enough. If you’re in the mood for a lighter breakfast, the Ricotta eggs are a delight. Just a heads up, they don’t come with a side.

This place is a Gem!! Gluten-free and vegan friendly! Self-serve coffee bar! Trendy atmosphere! The food is absolutely delicious!

Beautiful location in Jndy downtown. The food and service were both on par! We enjoyed an early 7am morning breakfast and the entire space was full by 8am on a Thursday. It was likely a lot of office going employees nevertheless we had a great time enjoying the views and sipping vanilla flavored coffee. Good place!

My new downtown go-to place, worlds better than the nearby fast food places and almost equally fast! Vibrant atmosphere. Attentive and extremely quick waitstaff. And awesome food (I had the chicken salad sandwich on a croissant and an unsweetened fruity iced tea, both excellent). Portions are a little small, but not too much so. I'll be back!

A tasty meal with quick service - the perfect combo for a weekday lunch! I had a chai latte with oat milk, the vegan (garbanzo) crepe/“omelette,” and cinnamon toast. Everything was flawless. I placed a to-go order that also quickly arrived and was delicious and high quality. Good atmosphere and plenty of seating.
