This is handsdown my favorite record store in Austin. Might be my favorite in Texas. I make it a point to go into record stores when I travel and I have yet to find a spot that compares. It's an experience.

The brothers that own this place have a great curation of wonderful records. Everytime I go there I leave with some awersome stuff. They even when out of their way to let my wife know that they got a record in stock that we had been looking for.

Love this place and I think everyone that loves records should check it out!

I broke my cartridge and needed a replacement right away. They got me back up and running in less than 30 minutes. There is a vast selection of top notch vintage audio equipment. If you're looking to upgrade your setup, these guys can take care of you. There is also a great selection of vinyl. 5 stars for great customer service. Sidenote: The store is super clean and adhering to all COVID protocols.

This shop is one of the last living souls of old Austin. Two brothers who have a love of music and how to listen to music in the best ways own this place and will be thrilled to guide you down the right path to your next set of speakers, turntable, records, whatever. I could go there talk to them for hours. Absolute joy to be around and to be a customer of theirs. I went in for help with getting a new turntable and ended up with a vintage Pioneer Quartz PLL PL-630. They know all the history and technical aspects of sound. After a couple of weeks I went back in to ask questions about connection to my receiver and they helped me eagerly. They also have the best record collection I’ve ever seen. Oh, and they also sell coffee! :)

I can’t emphasize enough that you shouldn’t shop anywhere else. I may regret saying that because it feels like my own personal hidden gem, like the early times of Jacob’s Well, but these guys deserve ALL the business and love. ❤

Another 5 star review. Excellent service. Great communication. The type of people that answer the phone, and will call you back. They have such a beautiful shop with gorgeous products and chill, non pretentious atmosphere. Expensive, but worth it for the care and service you get in return.

Great coffee. Great vinyl records. Great collection of continuously revolving random vintage furniture, movie posters, miscellaneous collectibles, music gear, etc. Very nice guys that run the place. My wife and I bought a beautiful one of a kind, hand-crafted neon sign from these guys. I’ve also purchased a nice turntable and plenty of records my growing collection…

Stopped by yesterday and had one of the best cups of coffee I've had in Austin. The store is amazing it's like a step back in time with all the vintage equipment. Lots of knowledge to be imparted and great conversations to be had here.

Solid staff know there info really well. I came in a complete noob and feel like I came out being an expert. They have quality stereos and setups to meet any budget. I highly recommend these guys. 👍

The Best Coffee In Austin!!!

Living In Stereo is a fantastic store that also has amazing coffee. Every coffee drink I have ordered has been incredible. Their coffee has a deep, rich, wonderful coffee flavor. They also use organic whole milk, organic syrups, and organic chocolates. Their beans are locally roasted from El Tigre.

You must stop by and check them out.

I wandered in randomly and found myself inside the coolest coffee shop/record store I've ever been to. Records, coffee, guitars, stereos, and everything in between, what's not to love? Despite the newer building, the spirit of old Austin is alive and well within it's walls, something that is less and less common these days. I'm very happy I found this place 🔥

The guys in here were great. I had an issue with my Pro-Ject record player for years and called them about it. When they got back to me to tell me they hard the parts, I brought it in and they fixed it same day in under an hour(!). The repair even called for much more than required but they held the same price they quoted me. Real nice guys and I'll definitely take my business back to them.

Living in Stereo is a knowledgeable shop with exceptional taste in gear and music. They won’t try to oversell you. They will encourage you to experience music in the way you enjoy listening to it. They also have incredible records for sale. I will always be a customer.
