My wife and I wanted to upgrade our fire place over the past Holidays. We went to a very expensive “fire place showroom” in Sallito and got zero help. Well, unless we want to spend thousands on an over rated/overpriced vented fireplaces. So we went Lavastone, Steve helped us pick out a great Buckstove insert (Made in North Carolina) and order extra parts to make our dream work. We bought a antique mantel off eBay and bricks from Meridian Brick. Total we spent $3,200 with help of Lava Stone of Tupelo. Don’t waste your time talking to a over priced sales guy! What polite and informative owners they are! 45 years in the business has prepared them for every question I could think to ask. I wasn't pushed to buy the most expensive product...heck, I wasn't pushed to buy anything at all! Mrs. Martha kept me entertained and gave me multiple affordable options for my unique fireplace setup. They don't do social media or have a website, but don't overlook them. Their prices are incredible!

We were not sure what brand our gas log fireplace was, but it needed cleaning and a repair before the temps drop. Willie came by yesterday and not only repaired our fireplace, but cleaned it up to make it look and perform like new! We are thoroughly impressed with the service and kindness shown by Lavastone and will recommend them to everyone in North MS with a fireplace need! Thanks so much!!

We had a horrible experience with this company. We sought their "professional" opinion on the correct insert and felt that they failed to give good advice. The initial install was poorly done. They sent a second guy out who did do a good job but the entire insert was the wrong one due to size and placement. They wanted $1800 more to make it right. We got it fixed by a different company for almost half that. Manager was rude and disrespectful and accused me of not being realistic in my expectations. I only expected to have a functional insert. I honestly don't see how that is too much to ask!
