Our little cabin was perfect! Very clean, good use of a space, and quick service from house keeping. The kitchenette was perfect for us. Also, the mattress was very comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was fantastic. When we come back, we plan to stay here again! Convenient location to walk to town, nice and quiet and they had their fire pits going every night. It felt private even though there were cabins close by. Highly recommend!

Great cabins close to all the amenities in the city right across the street from the Grizzly Discovery center offering a woodsy environment in town with several fire pits together around for the colder nights and to make s'mores. However the house cleaning left a lot to desire as we went two days without any service to our room and that was with multiple calls and even a visit to the front desk. The manager finally called back and sent someone to the room.
I can tell you it wasn't all of the housekeeping services because the couple that we were with got their room cleaned every day it was just the housekeeper that was assigned to our room.

Cabins are extremely well equipped with games, kitchen, bedding & bath supplies. Beds and furniture very comfortable. Cabin was very clean. Location couldn’t be any better, Staff were pleasant and helpful. Loved that the fire pit was lit and ready for your use every day/night. S’more kits supplied in each cabin. Really can’t say enough good things about these accommodations. I have been told I am quite picky!

Very nice. Best choice for winter months. Cabins are fully equipped, very clean and plenty of towels. With not many high end hotel choices in West Yellowstone, this is a great pick. They provide s’mores kits, games, TV, basically a full kitchen and the fire pit was burning every night.

We had visited West Yellowstone in the past for a snowmobiling adventure in the past and booked a regular hotel room. This time we decided to upgrade to an individual cabin. The Explorer Cabins at Yellowstone was a great choice! Our cabin was roomy with a separate living room and kitchenette with everything you need to prepare simple meals. The furnishings looked new and the decor appropriate for the historic nature of West Yellowstone. It snowed everyday and the staff was busy removing the snow by 7 am each morning. In the future the Explorer Cabins is the only place we will stay!!

Perfect experience for our family. When traveling with kids a hotel can be… cramped but these cabins are ideal to give kids their space while also allowing parents to stay up later.

Oh and the s’mores! And the wolves howling nearby!!!

Excellent location and the Cabins have everything you need and more. We loved the town of west Yellowstone and is right next to Yellowstone National park.We loved the s’mores they give you to make at night by the fire pit. Restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance. Highly recommend for families.

The cabins are exceptional. They are close to grocery stores, a variety of restaurants, a food truck, shopping and very close to the Yellowstone entrance. This is a wonderful area for walking. The cabin was clean and beyond adequate. Comfy bed, microwave and fridge, fire pits nightly for s’mores, big televisions, access to free coffee and laundry. Excellent experience.

We stayed in the Explorer Cabins for our first ever trip to West Yellowstone. We had our two girls with us ages 9 and 7. The cabins were amazing, clean and spacious. The location was incredible just minutes from the West Yellowstone park entrance. You also get access to the pool in the sister hotel right across the street and the pool area was very nice. They also had free ice cream for the kids every day from 4-6 and free s’more bags for them as well. They had nice fire pits that they lit every day from 5pm - 11pm with nice chairs around them. You can walk right into the main drag in West Yellowstone from your cabins and the kids loved that. The Grizzly and wolf discovery center is right across the street and you could hear the wolves howling each morning it was so cool. Make sure to get the bubble waffle cones with huckleberry ice cream right down the road at the coffee shop and have dinner at Bullwinkle’s and also highly recommend the Buffalo restaurant and the 50’s style diner. Can’t wait to come back will definitely be staying here again!

The Explorer Cabins are located in the middle of a small town right outside the west entrance to Yellowstone NP, which is a good entrance to be near if you aren't staying inside the park. It was nice to be able to spread out in the roomy, clean, 2-bedroom cabin, and the faux fireplace was great. The cable/wifi worked well, and the fire pits outside are a nice touch. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and we were able to sleep in late without the sounds of people and traffic. There is a kitchenette with a mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot, dishwasher, and stove top. Bring a cooler for ice if you need it. The space is best suited for 2 adults or a family with 2 small children. Overall, I recommend these cabins for a rustic but quiet and comfortable option to a hotel room.

We stayed in cabin #8 for 5 nights and had a wonderful experience. The cabin was clean and welcoming. The location was great. It’s away from the busy part of W. Yellowstone but within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful and comfortable cabins fully equipped with everything you need and even more, perfectly positioned at the end of the main street (walking distance from restaurants and shops, but incredibly quiet). It's part of Great Wolf hotel, so you enjoy the same services: reception, housekeeping, laundry (not the breakfast). My family and I really loved our stay

Clustered in a cozy half circle around an ever glowing firepit, the cabins were clean, quaint and lived like a home away from home. They were situated nicely just off the main drag but within a few minutes from the west entrance to the park. I highly recommend the cabins for families who want the comforts of home with the convenience of a town, and who want to spend a whole lot of time in Yellowstone.

We stayed at explorer cabins for 3 days during the labor day weekend. Indoor swimming is available 9AM to 11PM. Washer and dryer can be used used by the guests 9AM to 9PM for free. Host provides binoculars (10x50) for free for the duration of stay. There is a firepit shared among a group of cabins. The hotel staff puts fire every night.
It is a family friendly property. Shops and stores were nearby.

The cabins were great and perfect for our dog. They were really clean which surprised me since a lot of cabins near National parks are outdated, dusty and dirty. Not this one! They give you a complimentary s’mores kit upon arrival and the bonfires light around 5pm every day. The best part is definitely the close proximity to the National Park west entrance and the town of West Yellowstone in general. Literally just two minutes of walking tops and you’re right in the main part of town! Would definitely come back!

PERFECT LOCATION!!! This was a great place! The rooms were clean and comfortable. It was great to have the two separate rooms and my little one loved the bunk bed. Lots of grea restaurants in the area and literally 5 minutes to the park entrance. It was a bit pricey $728 a night but we are very picky about accommodations and it's usually difficult to find decent ones near the parks. This place exceeded our expectations.

These cabins are fantastic! Definitely pricy but they are very spacious with a kitchenette and large bathroom. Shower pressure is great! They include s’mores kits you can use at the fire pits which was really fun! They’re also pet friendly. Will be back next time we’re in yellowstone!

This cabin was absolutely perfect. We were a party of 6, 4 adults, 2 children. We got the two bedroom, one per couple and the girls slept on the pullout in the living room. It was a nice size cabin overall, the rooms were fairly roomy, not compacted at all. The living room and kitchen of course were a bit small once the bed was pulled out due to the wood carved end table, that was really nice. But that's understandable as it is all in the same room. The cabin came equipped with an electric stove, dishes, pans, soap to wash dishes or pods for the dishwasher, a fridge, 4 coffee mugs, paper towels, toilet paper, and an abundance of fresh towels and large fire place. Cabins also come with a porch area and two seats along with a little table. Very nice touch. Their were to access doors so convineint if you parked in the back or towards the front. Linen was all clean, beds super comfy. They forgot to leave the linen for the sofa bed but brought it out within 15-30 mins of the call. The kids were each left a smore kit and fire pits were within a reasonable distance (each a cabin down, one to the left and one to the right). Security circled throughout our evening. The cabins are literally not even 5 mins outside the west entrance. The town has everything easily within a 10-15 mile radius. I would definitely stay here again, loved everything about it. And as for price, well all of the up to date (including some of the more outdated places) are within the same price range so I say worth every penny!

Loved my snow covered spring vacation at the Explorer Cabins in West Yellowstone. The crowd is small, the wildlife start moving around with their babies, and it is cheaper. Yellowstone looks completely different with the snow experience. It's mostly a car tour with pulling over on the lookouts to see the beauty. We had 2 days in the park and half of it was closed but we really needed 3 days even so.
