I had the brisket sandwich, corn salad, coleslaw, and mac and cheese. The brisket sandwich was tasty. I adored the corn salad. Coleslaw was a bit different of a taste than what I’m used to but was also good. I’ve had barbecue in Kansas City and Tennessee and this was right up there! Food and service were excellent. Atmosphere was good too, place is small so it was more comfortable to sit outside on a lovely night like it was. Loved the huckleberry soda.

Holy this was good! Just what we needed after a long day in the park. It’s quick serve style and quite busy, expect to share tables with other customers.

I think next time I’d go for the meat by weight over a sandwich - or for a full rack of ribs! The brisket was juicy and flavourful and I’ve never had better ribs. They’re tender with a beautiful smoke ring but not sliding off the bones when you try to pick them up. Lots of BBQ sauce on the tables for you to decide how saucy you want to be. Everything was amazing.

Rolled into town from visiting YS. This place had great reviews. It did not disappoint. Brisket was juicy and delicious. Corn salad, Mac and cheese, loaded potato was perfect. Great atmosphere. This place was also on Diners, Drive In and Dive with Guy

A local recommended Firehole when they overheard us talking dinner options on the sidewalk in the main street. As soon as we turned the corner, we knew we'd made the right choice! The smells! Mmmmm! It drew us in like a magnet! The food was DELICIOUS and all four of my picky kids gobbled it up in nothing flat! The service matched the 5 star flavor of the food! Although the place was packed with customers, the employees treated us like family. They were more than kind through the service line, found us a table as quickly as they could and got it cleaned up so we could enjoy our meal. They checked in with us several times during our meal to make sure there wasn't anything else we needed and added a few fun stories to the experience. Stop here for a bite! You WON'T be disappointed! We will definitely be back!

If you are looking for a local restaurant with some great barbecue, you will find it here at Firehole. Locally owned and operated, the folks here know how to cook some meat and put together an excellent sauce. You greeted enthusiastically at the counter when you first enter where you place your order before you find a seat. All the dishes we tried were delicious. I will be heading back here again before the season is over in West Yellowstone!

Awesome food, some of the best ribs I’ve had in a long while. Brisket was nice and tender, sausage was nicely spiced, the spicy sauce had a nice little zing. Pair that off with some rich and creamy mac and a decent pork sando, excellent all round

Being from Texas and having tasted some incredible bbq, this place ranks right up there! All the food and sides were really delicious! The customer service was top notch where they treat you more like family than a customer. What a great place!

Second time here. Definitely a must when we go to west yellowstone. May be a little pricey, but it's delicious. Brisket and the ribs are tender. Mac n cheese is yummy. A little low on seating. There's a park across the street you can use for seating. They do seat you now if you are staying after buying your food.

After 3 days eating fast food in park, I chose to drive to this bbq place for dinner- worth the drive!! Kindly reminder that there’s a 2.2% charge when using card, so prepare some cash when visiting this restaurant.

I ate at 4 or 5 places in town, and this was the best one by far. The meat was so flavorful juicy and had a great bite to it. The sauce was good. My favorite was the brisket sandwich. The meat is so good there is no need for sauce. The flavor was all the way through the meat, not just the outside. It's definitely worth the wait.

The Visitor Centre recommended that we eat here before going into Yellowstone Park. I am so glad that they did!

The BBQ sandwiches were so succulent and delicious! You can enjoy the smell and taste of true BBQ here! The unsweetened and even sweetened tea here are fountain drinks that you can refill as much as you like.

Although the place is quite clean, it is a casual atmosphere so you do not have to be on pins and needles if you bring young children.

The service is quick and friendly and even the non BBQ food is great! I personally loved the corn salad and the Bison sausage too.

After filling up, there is a nice park across the street to go for a stroll in and let the kids blow off steam before getting back in the car.

We ate at this busy place two nights in a row because the ribs were some of the best BBQ ribs we had and we have tried ribs in famous BBQ joints in Texas and Kansas City. The corn salad was different but tasty, but the cole slaw was too sour for our taste. The service was fast even both nights were busy and the staff was very friendly. We didn’t expect to find decent food in West Yellowstone, but this place is a must try.

We had BBQ is many places out West from the Dakotas, through Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, and Texas. This little gem in Montana was simply the best! The pork, brisket, chicken, and O-M-G!, the ribs were incredibly tender. Melted marshmallows are tougher than this meat.

The place is simple, really more barn or shack like. Concrete floors, cheap seats, ... so what! Food is that dang good!

Great BBQ! The corn salad was an outstanding side. I tried all the meats and personally liked the pork the best. The ribs were also juicy and tender. Service was great and the owner was kind in rushing to clean a table for our party which was 8 deep. Definitely recommend you check this place out for some quick delicious BBQ

Small building but big flavor! The staff were so friendly and checked on us several times. If I may recommend a dish - sausage, Mac and cheese and ask for jalapeños. Throw some of the hot sauce on there and your tastebuds will thank you. Seriously a good stop before exploring Yellowstone though!!

We came here for a quick bite before a flight and was impressed by the food! Got half rack pork ribs which was awesome with the pickles, onions and coleslaw. The staff was friendly, welcoming and warm, and the decor of the restaurant was decent. One more that the portion was so huge that the two of us shared and still couldn't finish.

We stumbled across this place after a long day in the park and how lucky were we! We got brisket, sausage and a full rack of ribs, corn salad and coleslaw. They were all great but especially loved the bark on the brisket and the ribs were so tender but still had a good texture and remained intact - proof of solid bbq. Corn salad was also bomb. At home in BC, CAN we don't have proper 'que like this!!!! Kevin was walking around and taking care of guests and he was so nice and energetic!! He chatted with us about YT Park and the tour we had taken, gave us rec's for local dessert (the huckleberry ice cream sandwich was 10/10) and how to see more wildlife for Day 2. Restaurant is charming clean and the way you order is well done and efficient. Highly recommend!!!!

As Texans, we were a little skeptical, but our family of seven decided to give them a try. Everything we tried was FANTASTIC! Chopped brisket sandwiches were AMAZING! Probably the best I've ever had! Corn salad was yummy. Ribs and pulled pork were great too. Excellent pickles! Not sure if they make their own, and forgot to ask, but they were so good! Great hot sauce too! We liked everything so much we returned the following evening and everyone got a t-shirt too! Super friendly folks working here and fabulous food - don't waste your time anywhere else! Go to Firehole first!!
