Fit 1st Running

When the first pair of shoes I picked out weren't a good fit (my fault-- I chose the pair I thought would be more weather proof... always choose comfort first!), I gave Manny a call and within 30 minutes he helped me pick out a new pair. These shoes are the most comfortable I've ever worn, I'll definitely be back!

I brought my daughter in for running shoes (HS cross country athlete)--she's had horrible shin splints for ~8 months. Manny took one look at her current shoes and explained in detail at least three ways that they were not helping, and what a shoe needed to do to actually help. He then using video and iPad technology to measure her gait wearing various other other shoes, and we settled on the shoe that line her joints up most efficiently. Never had a shoe store experience like this. Highly knowledgeable, very friendly, and focused on serving the customer. Highly recommend this business.

Fit 1st running is the best! They will go the extra mile to help you find just what you need. I came in near closing time and the owner, Manny, took the time to video-record an analysis of my gait and chose the absolute perfect shoe for my feet and walking style. Manny carefully curates the selection in store to carry the best of what's out there on the market today at varying price ranges. I highly recommend you make the stop at Fit 1st Running if you are looking for new shoes, socks, gear, anything, even if you don't consider yourself a runner! I was looking for a good pair of comfortable walking shoes for travel and they really came through for me.

Manny was awesome!! I am new to running. He measured my feet gave me a few choices. He could have sold me the most expensive of the ones I tried on because I really liked them but he told me they didn't fit my feet right. I so appreciate his knowledge and honesty. 100% I will make the drive from Andover when I need another pair. Thanks so much Manny!!

This store is fantastic. Manny takes the science of shoe design seriously. Before we tried even one shoe he analyzed every part of my foot and movement. He brought out multiple options but he told me the first one he selected will be the one. He was spot on. (And they looked cool as as a bonus) This is my new go to place.

I’ve literally struggled to find shoes that don’t cause pain or numbness in my feet my whole life. At Fit 1st Running they measured my feet before considering what shoes would even fit my feet, from the size of the shoe, to the height of my arch, to the height of the top of my foot (that’s why I was getting numbness).

They started with two pairs of shoes that both felt amazing, and my balance was better instantly! I’ve been wearing one pair for a week now and it’s still great, I am even planning on going in to get that second pair because I cannot imagine putting on any of my old shoes again!

This review is long overdue. We bought our specialized shoes in October of last year. It's the best and most comfortable shoes we've ever owned. For travelers/vanlifers like us it is very important to have a good fitting shoes because we walk a lot. Manny methodically sized our feet, even filmed the way we walk and run to find the right the perfect shoes for us. We highly recommend Fit 1st Running!!!

Hands-down the best running shoe store experience. HIGHLY recommend them for anyone who might feel uncomfortable about not looking like a "typical runner". I am visibly gender non-conforming, and Manny seemed to "get it" instantly and was zero percent weird about it. He was very low-pressure (no "hard selling"), patient (even with multiple returns/exchanges) and really seems to know his stuff.

Was fitted with a pair of gym shoes and custom insoles. The whole experience from beginning to end was 10/10. Manny is so knowledgeable in finding the right shoe for your own movement. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

Manny is AMAZING!!! I walked in 10 minutes after closing. It was clear Manny and his friend were wrapping up, but instead he took time to help me find a good pair of running / walking shoes.
He did a recorded gait analysis of my walk while barefoot and then again after trying on shoes he selected based on my size, pronation and arch.

Manny helped me select a pair of running/walking shoes for my dad who had some major issues with plantar fasciitis. He also suggested some sandals to wear around the house, and both items helped him tremendously to the point where he is almost 100% back to normal after weeks and weeks of pain that impacted his daily function.
