Just purchased a roof tent from this business and I will say hands down this was one of the best experiences I’ve had with an outdoor company. The price for my inspired overland tent was right in my price range and they offered convenient local pick up.

Mike the owner was super friendly and helpful while I was there picking up and shared a lot of good knowledge with me.

I’ve already referred their business to a friend of mine and will continue to recommend them for any kind of overland/outdoor gear that’s offered here.

10/10 would recommend and I would definitely shop here again. Support small businesses!

What a great small local business in Castle Rock CO! These guys are awesome, they just helped me load up my tent onto my bronco and were generous to loan me their straps ☺ I cannot wait to post more photos of my roof top tent! Thanks again for great customer service 😀 and the puppy is adorable!

Very pleased with recent rooftop tent purchase. The guys were easy to work with and knowledgeable about overland products. I had the tent installed at time of pickup, and they were very accommodating with mounting options. Highly recommend this shop!

As a small business owner, I love to support small business. Mike and this brand are amazing. Answering questions, sending photos (I'm not from the CO area) and going above and beyond for a guy asking questions on instagram. I purchased an RSI smartcap and I wouldn't imagine making purchases like this anywhere else. It was an amazing experience, great customer service and well, good people deserve good things.

They really look out for their customers, very knowledgable, and friendly. I lamost never bother with reviews but these folks really earned it.

I bought the inspired overland superlite v2 from them. I couldn't quite stretch my budget to get the "XL" version that is a little longer. When Mike saw that I lived near a distribution center for inspired overland he gave me a call and let me know I had the option to refund $200 on shipping and I could pickup the tent locally. Or, if I picked up locally I could upgrade to the "XL" tent, and keep the same price I paid for the regula tent plus shipping. Mike talked to inspired overland personally and aranged a pickup date that worked for me and I am very satisfied with my purchase. Even when I asked about other tents that he did not sell, he was very open and gave great advice. I will give Spirit of 1876 any business I can moving forward.

Only overland outfitting shop I will go to! These guys treat everyone like family. They have so much awesome stuff at their location in Castle Rock, CO. I have sent friends and they have never had a negative experience. Customer service is also on point. Defiantly worth a visit if you're in the area.

I expected a larger operation but I must say I was more than surprised at my experience. They may not have a fancy store front but these folks went far and beyond in everything else. I have never had as pleasant of an experience from any business I have delt with in my lifetime. Anything I need for my vehicles that these folks can provide I will be getting from them.

We purchased a 23Zero Roof Top Tent from Spirit of 1876 in May of 2020. They were very accommodating to my rigorous questioning as I wanted to make sure we were buying the right RTT for us. The shop is conveniently located. This RTT helped us survive summer of 2020. Would definitely purchase from them again!!!

Just picked up an Inspired Overland RTT from these guys! They helped me get the tent on board my vehicle and had an awesome customer service experience with them! Castle Rock location was easy to get to and convenient for local pickup (CO)

Just spoke with Mike tonight in a bit of a bind - was in a time crunch for a roof rack for my 5th gen for an upcoming trip and the manufacturer couldn’t get it to me in time (but recommended him). He got me squared away, was able to get what I needed shipped same day and it’ll make it in time for my trip. Overall they had great stuff in stock, the experience was great and I’ll be stopping here first for anything I need moving forward. Thanks!

By far some of the best customer service. The owner is an incredible person who does everything in his power to make your purchase as amazing as possible. I have gone through a few tents from these guys. The experience is always first class.

I cannot thank Mike enough with his help on trading out tents for me. I had ordered a Mt Denali tent and never opened it but realized that the rack that I bought wouldn’t support the tent on my track. Mike said that he could trade me my Mt Denali for a Mt Rainier. I really appreciate it that he did that for us so we can get out and enjoy the tent as soon as possible. These guys are the best and will take care of your rental and buying needs to get out and camp Colorado!
