The people at this toy store were very friendly & welcoming. There were 2 floors of so many options. Toys, stuffed animals, games, hobby items etc. Although this store was very old in appearance, I enjoyed the unique charm & nostalgia! My kids loved it!! There just aren’t many toy stores anymore & I hope this one is around for many more years to come 🙂

A true treasure. A great place for children, adults and collectors alike. A fantastic place in the city. Highly recommend for toys and collectible items like trains or board games. Very friendly and knowledgeable.

Oh my this store is the toy store from your dreams and or the movies. Enormous, three floors!

They have tons for kids, rooms full of stuffed animals, a whole floor of dolls. The place is enormous I knew what I was looking for and became overwhelmed with all there was.

To get to the doll floor you'll prolly have to ask for someone to turn on the lights for you and go up. And you'll have to pay for everything you want as you leave the floor you found it on.

Truly impressive store.

This is a great toy store and it's nice to see a small business still doing well in the city! The people that run this place are very nice and friendly. There are over 3 floors of toys. The game selection is quite overwhelming but in a good way. The have so many! From the classics to the new ones. They also have an extensive model train department which is quite impressive. Recently I noticed (and I am sure it's been there forever) a model car section and model soldier section for dioramas. The third floor is all dolls - high end collectible and the run of the mill baby doll. These are just some of the very neat things at this place. We also make a visit here just to see what is new with the toys.

This place was fun for the kid in everyone. Wish they could get more employees so they could have opened up more floors.

There pricing wasn't bad at all and it had many awesome things. My wife had to drag me out. I wish my girls could've went to see the doll room where the outside looked like a giant doll house.

If you are into toys such as dolls, trains, small towns, kids toys, Legos and many other toy things I say go check it out and unleash your little kid self for awhile or take your kids and show them something that isn't in front of a screen.

My son, 4, and I passed this place the other day and decided to stop in. When I say they have the best of the best toys, I swear it’s true. The second story was our favorite. My son ended up with a whole new Lego collection lol.
The service is impeccable. There was always someone right there waiting to help and happy to make conversation. Very friendly and personable staff.
We were in there for about an hour, but it wasn’t just shopping, my son had a BLAST! There’s display toys to play with all over over the place so it ended up being a memory making experience. I 100% recommend setting aside some time to check this place out. It’s the last true toy store out there. I’m so grateful we stopped here. I’ve never seen my son happier( until it was time to leave, then he was NOT, in fact, happy🤣).

Lots of toys! Go in ready for a blast from the past. I was a little disappointed by their magic trick selection, but wow do they have a nice rack of bicycle playing cards!

Classic Pittsburgh experience. Great place to take children and buy presents! This location has so many floors and the building itself is beautiful. The staff is always friendly and nice. My favorite floor is the one with all the puzzles!

Wonderful little shop with a charm of times long past. The older gentleman working on the first floor ( they make a point of separating the items between floors ) was wonderfully helpful and courteous. I got some wonderfully unique pieces from local artisans as well as some more 'traditional' gift shop and w and TONS of toys for kids of all ages. If you are ANY kind of hobbyist and you get a chance to get Pitt, PLEASE find time to at least have a look around this classic toy shop. It is a classic piece of modern S Americana and you'd be missing out. They're COVID-safe and vigilant about it.

Location: Smithfield Street between Weiner World & Huntington. Street parking and garage parking across the street.

Facility:
First Floor: Popular toys, greeting cards, stuffed animal room, holiday village room.

Second Floor: Model Train sets of all sizes, model cars, airplanes, board games and hobbies.

Third Floor: Dolls, barbies, play-house items and discounts.

Staff: Family-owned. The owner works the front desk, Mick works the second floor. Both love their store and their jobs. This place has a magic about it and everyone is on board.

Experience: It may be the kid in me but this is the coolest store I have ever been in. You could spend hours just checking out one floor. This is now my favorite store in the city and I'm excited to share it with all of little ones in my family, but really I need a reason to come back.

Conclusion: If you are into model trains, hobbies, have any person looking for a card or cool gift this is your place. Expect to be wowed and spend tons of time. All the prices are fair and I really am proud we have a store like this in Pittsburgh.

Super cool store with a ton of toys and nostalgic items. The store itself is very big. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I bought a kendama on a whom because it looked cool. The guy behind the counter told me about how it's one of his favorite things they sell there and showed me a few tricks and told me how to get started learning how to use it. Love this place.

It's a great toy store that has 3 floors to it. The 3rd floor is all Doll collectors. The 2nd floor is games, puzzles, fidgets. The 1st floor is a seasonal mix plus assorted varieties of toys and collectibles, watches, and more.

Fine collection of curiosities and novelties. Be sure to set aside at least a half hour to explore all the floors. Excellent gift opportunities for curious children and adults who love to collect or decorate.

I stop in each Christmas season. There's nothing much like this around.

I've been going to that store for 10 years now. Every time when I happen to be in downtown (once or twice per year) I go there. That's the cutest place where you feel like a kid again! To my surprise all employees recognize me by now and they are all the friendliest and nicest people! There are not very many places around that have such a charm and character. Love it soooo much! It's magical!

Surprisingly large toy and gift shop in the middle of downtown. Three floors of toys and gifts. Needless to say, I was blown away. I went in looking for some puzzle and was not disappointed. The variety of puzzle, board games, and novelties is amazing. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.

I wandered in here on a lunch break. It’s not just a toy shop, but also a gift and collector’s store. I could find a personal gift for EVERYone I know in here. It’s like a museum, it feels magical. The owner is the sweetest guy and 2020 didn’t treat him fairly; stop by and find a gift for someone’s next birthday.

Lovely place! Storeys and storeys of toys, Christmas gifts and tree ornaments! Friendly and helpful staff. The board game section is huge and the staff there helps us out in choosing what to buy based on our interests.

Love this place!!! Came here as a kid and it was magical! I'm now 40, made me feel like a kid again! So many awesome and unique gifts. Some a little expensive but if you are looking for something special for a special someone I'm sure you can find something here!!!

Huge selection of Legos, Lionel Trains, Board Games, Dolls, and kids toys. Prices are not too high, but more than you'd pay at a national chain. It's downtown's only toy store, and well worth the trip, even if just to look around and reminisce.
