Hotline Thrift Store

Good vibes, good music, good prices, good cause! My favorite thrift store on the island! Very well organized with a little something for everybody. Volunteers are helpful, fun and caring! The local community and tourist alike depends on this thrift store. The store has been serving the community for over 25 years! Thanks to manager, Donna and dedicated volunteers for their service in providing for those in need of clothing, housewares, books and more. Lastly, I would like to mention how important meaningful conversations, valuable advice and laughter amongst employees, volunteers and locals during these days is rare and I am thankful and blessed to have been part of it. Please help in keeping this much needed thrift store in Buxton open for many generations to come!

The staff are wonderful and great finds! On vacation we had to dress our partners in something they would not normally wear! Great time!

Great little shop on Hatteras Island. Fun to hunt for treasures, be sure to dig thru every corner. You never know what you'll find. Well organized. Proceeds go to local shelter for women & children!

Small but sweet!

This terrific thrift store is about a mile from my place. I needed a pillow to put on my new office chair that is very firm (maybe because I am getting old!). The perfect pillow was $1. I ended up spending $20 on all kinds of stuff. The added bonus is that proceeds go to a battered womens shelter. The staff is friendly and helpful. Great place. Big, clean selection. Highly recommended.

Nice store. Some name brand items. Clean and the couple running it were really nice. All proceeds benefit woman who need help from domestic violence.

The layout of the store has been changed since the Spring, and this layout makes for the quicker, and yet, more thorough shopping experience. I went in for a very specific item that I could not find in other retail stores, but there were quite a few items that caught my eye. On my second visit I found the clothing item that I needed...great go-to shop.

My favorite place to shop.... I try to stop in about once a week to look for clothes and other treasures. The Volunteers are very nice and the manager does a great job keeping the store stocked and organized..... 💙

I don't get the review about the staff being grumpy. I go in there a lot, and everybody in there is very friendly and helpful. Always.

Stop in for a good cause. They have a good collection of random wears, clothing and books. Picked up a stack of children's books for $2.
