We have been coming down here for years. The place has become immensely popular and it's often hard to book other than well in advance. They have gone from a quiet, quaint little campground to a bustling, quiet, quaint little campground. They have probably doubled the full hookup RV sites in there just few years, have added many activities and community fundraisers, but have maintained the laid back atmosphere that drew us here in the first place. Somehow through all of this have vastly improved the level of service that we have experienced. The staff are all great people who will go above and beyond to accommodate you whenever they can. This is truly our favorite campground and our home away from home.

Our family loves it here! Beautiful sunsets every night and every amenity you could need for a camping week. Our kids love the pool and pirate ships at the playground. We needed to move sites due to our senior dog having some issues, they were more than willing to accommodate us so we could finish out our week long vacation. Can’t wait to return next year!

This is the nicest and cleanest campground I have ever stayed at and it exceeded my expectations from the nice cabin we stayed in to the clean bathrooms and showers.
The ladies in the store were very friendly and welcoming and the store has about anything you could ever need and fair prices. Thank y’all again for the best 3 day vacation me and my family have ever had. See y’all next September.

Favorite vacation spot for several years now! The staff is awesome and they work hard to keep it in tip top shape. I see comments about pricing...have you priced other RV resorts? We think they are on point. It is a more laid back environment which is why we come to Frisco. If you want cheap, reserverve a spot in a state park with no amenities.

Love this dog friendly campground.. very upset people do not pick up their dogs poop.. very upsetting for a very nice campground. Camper even left poop in dog park. Plenty of bags to clean up after ur pet... campers are just not doing it.

*I understand your frustration. Pet owners just need to be better people.

Camped with friends in our campers & tents & really enjoyed ourselves. Our sites were clean with full hookups & cable, each with a well built picnic table. The night skies were dreamy as there is little "light pollution". If you are accustomed to, and desire alot of room at your site, this is not your campground. They really slip in quite a few rigs in a small area, so this can make it feel claustrophobic for some, & very noisy at times. The park was not even half full which was nice. I would imagine summer RV's with A/C running may limit the enjoyment of being outdoors on the beautiful Pamlico Sound, if you mostly hang at camp. This is a good home base for a many outdoor activities, & we would recommend staying at Frisco Woods Campground.

I have stayed at this campground a few times now, and I CANNOT say enough good things about it. Everything is clean, updated and comfortable, and the cabins are BEAUTIFUL. The A/C in the cabins is strong and cold, perfect for those times where you’ve spent all day on the hot beach and need to cool off for a bit. My parents have a camper that they bring down every year, and the campsites are beautiful and wildly spacious. Plenty of room outside the camper to gather around and eat dinner while the sun sets. I absolutely love camping here, as you get the full “summer night” experience every night with music playing, kids laughing, families enjoying their time together, and a general “good vibe” feeling. It’s such a lovely place to spend a week at the beach and I wouldn’t choose to spend it anywhere else.

And to the lady who gave one star about poor management, how about you don’t cut down trees that aren’t yours, and grow some class.

Stacey is a WONDERFUL manager who handles a massive campground and hundreds of people with efficiency and class, and while I don’t envy her job, I do admire the way she handles things. She runs a tight ship which makes the campground enjoyable year after year, and I can’t commend her enough for the wonderful job she does. Can’t wait to come back again next year and enjoy this beautiful campground again.

Camping Labor Day weekend. The sunsets across the sound are awe-inspiring. Really. No words are enough. Amazing staff. Beautiful pool. 100% clean. All modern facilities. Plenty for kids to do. Lots of ppl but still feels very private. We will be back. Plenty of stuff to do and/or eat nearby.

First time at this campground. I have been coming to the OBX all my life. My wife and I bought a camper this summer and we were able to get in for Labor Day weekend. The store and staff were amazing along with everything being clean and well kept. Our first night here we woke up to our air conditioner being out and quickly realized we had lost power to our site. My wife and I were hesitant to call the after hours number as it was 130 in the morning but we ended up calling as we have two German shepherds who were quickly getting uncomfortable with the heat. The staff answered on the second ring and we’re at our site in less than 5 minutes with tools and an electrician. They had us back up and running 15 minutes after that and personally followed up with us the next day. From personal experience it’s hard to find people that care about their customers in any facet of business anymore but this place does. We will be back again and be bringing other family with us.

Beautiful campground. Reasonably roomy sites. Significant number of gorgeous trees. Some sites well-shaded. A canal with sites next to it is in the campground and they have sound-side sites. Good clean facilities. WIFI was sketchy for a few days but has been fine since. Cell service is sketchy for T-Mobile. Verizon is fine. Don't know about AT&T. The people are friendly and helpful. Just a great place. My only criticism is that the cable TV is very staticy to the point of being unwatchable. They said they'd send someone but it hasn't gotten better. If that's important to you mention it when you make a reservation and when you arrive. It's not that important to me.

I have camped here on many occasions and have enjoyed my time. This is a quiet campground and I do like that. It's only minutes away from some of the best beaches on the Outer Banks. The staff is friendly and will help if you have questions. I have stayed here for up to a month at a time, and it was great. I would recommend a stay hear.

We had an amazing weekend. I loved that the shower house has strong AC and it was comfortable getting dressed after showering. So many camp sites you don't feel clean after your shower because it's so muggy. Friscos showers were clean and I loved the dog wash station. I didn't bring my dogs but seeing that as an option was nice. When we 1st arrived I was nervous. The camp site I selected online looked spacious but when we arrived the neighbor camp site had taken over the area where we should of been. The office easily fixed the situation and gave us options to go look at and allowed is to move our site to a well shaded tent site where we had a very enjoyable weekend. My only complaints would be the dog poop build up by the stop sign infront of the pool but by Sunday morning someone cleaned that up so, yay. Also, the pop up camper right next to us partied all night and was loud all night and we got very little sleep. However, I woke up with a random pup in my tent this morning that woke me up with kisses and cuddles. Me being a dog person that was an awesome start to my day. Thank you guys very much for a very accommodating weekend.

I definitely recommend frisco woods campground there place is a fun and relaxing place to spend your vacation. Love the place and the staff are kind and caring and pet friendly. Love this place definitely check it out!

Third year here. Sites are large and the sound view and beach makes this the best Hatteras RV camping spot. Air conditioned bath houses if you need them. Only complaint is that I love having a pool but this one tends to get pretty congested with kids.

The bath houses were super clean, also if you love a good detail it was super nice of them to have a place to set your things and plenty of hooks to hang towels ECT.
Pool was a fun little spot! They also had a super nice dog wash.
Our camper unfortunately didn't want to leave( they were SOOO NICE about this inconvenience!) Neither did we!! Can't wait to come back next year!

This was our second year visiting Frisco Woods Campground. We have been coming to OBX since 1991 staying at various houses and spent the past five years in our RV. I stay for the month of July. I have already reserved our site for next year. I find Frisco Woods and its staff to be extremely courteous and helpful. While there, I have received Amazon deliveries, utilized the camp store and bought bags of ice almost daily. Anytime I’ve had questions or requested anything, staff has been more than helpful.

I LOVE the campsites. We have a big rig; 41 ft. trailer. When we arrived July 1st, the campground was full. It was dusk and people were everywhere due to the holiday weekend. It’s amazing that people/kids can’t appreciate the mass of this vehicle and they continued riding bikes, golf carts, cars and walking while I was trying to back into our site. It was a little crazy. Out of nowhere, Stacy, the manager appeared and stopped everyone and made them stand still so I could maneuver. She got up from her dining room table to meet me because she knew they were full and it would be a challenge. I haven’t had anyone in a campground be that aware of what is going on before. She is everywhere in the campground assuring rules are being followed and everyone is well. The grounds are beautiful, the sites are clean, the bathhouses are cool and immaculate and the newly resurfaced pool was always busy. While laughter and kids are the happy norm, things always quieted down by 11:00.

If you’re looking for a nice place to camp for a weekend, a week or a month, Frisco Woods has my vote! And thanks Stacy and staff for all your hard work!

This was our 1st time at this campground. It's a large campground. They have lots of campsites, including tent sites and also cabins. We got a great spot on the canal. The bathhouse was nice. We never got in the pool but it looked great. The camp store was very convenient for ice and morning coffee if you didn't want to make it yourself. This campground has sound front spots and you can watch the sunset or paddle out right from the campground. There's a little dog park and a play area for kids also.

My dad and I’s second home!! ❤ We love the convenience of Frisco Woods and all of the things available to do around the area. We bring my pup with us and love the dog park and new bathing station! 😍 We’ve brought kayaks and gone fishing off the sound, and we love to walk around and see the beautiful scenery and sunsets. They have a wonderful store with many camping essentials and souvenirs, and it’s a close drive up to the supermarket to get what you need for dinner (or just go out to any of the restaurants nearby; especially Tavern on 12 since it’s walking distance!!) Many beach access spots less than a couple miles too. The staff is always so nice and they do so much to keep the campground clean and maintained for everyone! We stayed in cabin 5 last year, sadly the outlet wasn’t working right and we had to let them know before we left. This time, we came back to cabin 5 and the outlet was fixed and there was even a new picnic table for us to enjoy!! 😁 Highly recommend this place for all of your vacation needs. Thank you to Frisco Woods staff for all you do and we can’t wait to see you all again! ❤
