Every time I’m in Santa Cruz I have to come visit this place to get my fix of these wonderful spicy 🌶 tri-tip sandwiches. They are indescribably delicious! And this place has such a huge selection of spirits, liquors, choices of beers, just unbelievable! Worth the beautiful drive!!

Hands down best trip tip sandwich ever made. It’s a staple in our little town and we have been going here for years. They give you so much meat it’s worth your buck. Highly recommend checking out Masoods liquor & deli when you’re in or passing through Ben Lomond.

Excellent selection of any kind of beer you could imagine. Lots of varieties of California wines at value prices. If you got the late night munchies… vast selection of gourmet ice cream brands. Basically a Ben Lomond institution. If you are a tourist, great place to stock up on supplies without having to wait in long lines at a grocery store.

My mechanics recommended this place for its tri-tip sandwich. This sandwich, despite its humble origin at the back of this liquor store, will fill your stomach with deliciousness, your car with crazy beefy smells, and cover your hands with juice. Get extra napkins.

In response to a review of the Chicken Salad sandwich, a review was about the chicken sandwich having three slices of bread, apparently the person who reviewed this sandwich claims that the extra slice of bread in the middle of a sandwich was hidden to portray or mislead customers into thinking the slice of bread in the sandwich was to add a filler to make the sandwich appear to have more chicken in it! I guess what? It does have more in it than two slices of bread could hold ! was shocked at how this person was thinking !
It’s called a better sandwich when you have three slices of bread , does the term “Double decker” mean anything to you ? I happen to love this sandwich and another favorite is the tuna sandwich, ( yes with three slices of bread) it’s a bigger sandwich, this review had to be addressed, people who think that there is a deceptive nature to the food or service at Masoods should just go shop some where else ! You’re entitled to your opinion and so am I . Have a great day Hope you enjoy your two slices of bread with what ever you expect to put between two slices of bread , I’ll stick to my delicious three slices of bread , chicken , a little spicy. And love the peas poppin with every chew!

Best tri tip sandwich in the area hands down. Pair that with a great alcohol selection and you've got a perfect one stop shop. 👌 Get it spicy 🌶🌶🌶

Great local liquor store, but it's so much more than that! As we pulled in to park they were loading up the barbeque pit out front with beautiful tri-tip! Do there is a tiny deli in tube very back corner that makes awesomely delicious sandwiches! You won't be disappointed! And everyone odds very friendly and helpful!!

Best Tri Tip sandwich and potato salad!! Go to back of liquor store, freshly made sandwiches are made in their little deli area. 😋 What a surprise! We stopped for bag of ice to fill our ice chest as we headed out to go explore Santa Cruz coast. Sandwich, potato salad hit the spot!!

We have tried their tri tip and chicken sandwiches. Both are absolutely delicious. They have really good choice of liquor and beers. Definitely worth visiting for. They are landmark of this community for last 30 years. Service is always fast and friendly.

There is a secret sandwich spot in the way back of this joint...If I'm within 20 mins of this spot, I'll veer off course and go get their flagship tri-tip sandwich...spicy, with cheddar, tomato, and onions. Extensive beer selection and an old school atmosphere. Eat your sandwich on the deck. It's a dippin' hot mess. Best sandwich in the county.

This place is "mint" as the kids say. They have a rediculously huge selection of wines and hard liquor. They also have a deli that will make you fresh sandwiches with meat cooked on their bbq. If you show up late at night, don't fear, you can pick up a pre made sandwich too.

Great place to find rare liquor! Looking for Pappy? He has it. This place has a little bit of everything, with a friendly staff and fair prices. Great food too! I go here every time I visit family in the area.

We have stopped here 3 times ovet last couple years. Each time we stopped to grab a quick lunch. Their Tri Tip was absolutely delicious. We grabbed some speciality beer and liquor as well. Their prices are very good and choice is excellent. Definitely worth trying.

I love this place! It has everything you need! Literally thousands of items. Half the place is wine! And super adorable Masood, makes me laugh every time I'm there. The deli is so good, best sandwiches are when the guy with the big glasses is there. Ainne is so helpful and knows where everything is. Best part of the ride on hwy 9.

Masoods has a dense, but well-organized liquor store. After several experiences of walking in during their front-lot BBQ, I finally picked up a hearty lunch order. (Right after returning home post- CZU evacuation- didn't trust anything in the fridge.)

The tri-tiip BBQ sandwich is amazing. French dip (same meat, no BBQ but meat broth) was good, but not *WOW* good. Rounded out with a turkey s'wich. All had perfect, fresh bread lightly toasted. All were warm and crisped, but made-to-order and fresh. Good stuff!

This place is a treasure. Masood has an amazing selection of beer, cider, wine and hard alcohol and his prices are pretty great. I was in one time and watched him recommend a less expensive bottle of champagne to someone because it was a better quality and the price was low because he had overstock from a wedding. That's the kind of guy he is.

But, do not leave here without going to the back right corner and ordering a spicy tri-tip sandwich. It will be one of the best sandwiches you ever put in your mouth. Seriously. But it is super messy, so if you go out front and eat on the picnic table, you're gonna want to grab a handful of napkins.
