Cafe Jote

Really nice small place to have a quick bite or coffee. Had a latte and a Fuul. Both were amazing. The Fuul will likely be spicy for most people, but if you like the kick or enjoy spice, do try it! I personally enjoyed the heat.

So glad I stumbled across this cafe! I am staying near U of M, and wanted a place where I could get breakfast and coffee, which Cafe Jote most definitely delivered on! I ordered the fuul and an iced latte, both of which were so good and well priced. The fuul (stewed fava beans topped with tomatoes, onions, peppers, & yogurt) especially was delicious and very filling--definitely would recommend trying! The ambiance of the cafe is really lovely as well--the interior is really bright with high ceilings and a few tables, and the outdoor patio was a great place to read and sip on my coffee. Finally, Jote himself was fantastic!! He was so sweet and made sure my food and drink were prepared to my liking. A must stop if you are in the area--there is a full espresso menu and many other foods that I'm sure are fantastic.

I have never heard of this place before and I just randomly picked a coffee place to get my friend a medium roast, with cream and honey. The coffee is delicious, I appreciate the authenticity bring coffee and selling jewelry made from scratch, and I love the atmosphere. It's very small but in a cozy reading a book in a nook small. The owner is very nice and she really cares about getting your order right. It's a small menu and coffee options but honestly it's perfect for someone like me. Too many options to choose makes me panic order.

Cafe Jote is small and cozy with a beautiful interior and a comfy outdoor dining area. Their coffee is good and strong. I had a latte. The customer service here is phenomenal and I felt very welcome. I would highly recommend Cafe Jote if you're looking for coffee in the West Bank area.

This place is truly a hidden gem. The owners were really welcoming, the service was great, the food was delicious, and the prices were good. They have grab-n-go Ethiopian lentils with injera and a full coffee bar complete with strong espresso and the option of oat milk. I had no problem finding vegan and gluten free options here.

This is such a warm cozy little coffee shop, it smells SO good inside, and the people who work here are very sweet. I ordered the hot chocolate and it was delicious. I mentioned to another customer that it was my birthday and I about to meet my family nearby for a celebration…next thing I know the whole shop sang Happy Birthday and toasted me and I got a hug. ❤ Great little place. Thank you!

Delicious Ethiopian food and coffee. Generous portions. The owner is very attentive and friendly. Great aromatic atmosphere. Highly recommended!

I had such a nice experience here. Stopped in for a coffee. Ordered a macchiato. It was a large and only comes with one shot. Barista suggested I add a shot or two. After drinking about a quarter cup I decided to take her up on it. They would not allow me to pay for it. Then, after trying a croissant (which was forgettable) I said that next time I'll be back to try the soup. She then fixed me a small plate to try the Ethiopian food they also had on the menu. It as delicious. They also would not let me pay. Such a nice little coffee shop. I highly recommend it. Support good people.

After being in workshops all week and dying for decent coffee, I stumbled across this gem! Great coffee, will go out of my way to come here if I’m ever in Minneapolis.

Had an amazing time with the family. The owner has great hospitality and wonderful customer service. Relaxing outdoor seating and beautiful and clean interior coffee shop with amazing food/desserts. Highly recommend 5/5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This place was amazing. We ate Checebsa, Firfir and Kinche combo. The combination was great and it tasted great. The taste was exactly like back hone and it took us back in memory lane. The hospitality was even better as well.

Ordered a mocha from here and it was delicious! It is a very nice, calm, and beautiful place.
