Play Beauty is a great, black owned beauty supply store for all your hair needs. I have been a customer since they opened three years ago. I enjoy shopping with people who understand my needs and provide solid consultation. Also, I use the beauticians at Play for my braids, silk press, and twists. They look after the health of my hair. Their styles are up to date and beautiful. The prices are market rate, but they don’t require a deposit.

Myself and my little sister had a wonderful experience with our stylist Monica and the Play Beauty Supply Team. We love our knotless box braids and knotless Senegalese Twists! We will defiantly be returning clients!

Visiting from Virginia and my daughter needed her hair washed & braided. We couldn't have been more impressed with the results! Great environment! We met the owner who was awesome and the stylist was amazing! Easily the best braiding style my daughter has had!

Monica was on time and very professional!!! She was able to answer a lot of questions before my appointment. She even provided pictures to even make sure I was comfortable with the style and desired color blend. She made me feel comfortable as I have not had positive experiences with past braiders. I appreciated how friendly she was and energy was very welcoming! 😊

I am absolutely in love with this store! It is more than amazing and provides customers with exceptional service! I looked around to find the items that I was looking for and it did not take me long at all. I was greeted and felt welcomed from the moment that I step into the door. 10/10 would recommend!

This Black-owned beauty supply store is a jewel in this community. Finally, a store that can truly meet the needs of the customer it serves from a place of experience and expertise instead of choosing products based on popularity or projected sales, the words typed on the back of a package or regurgitating general info shared by the sales reps pushing a bunch of various items. I am elated to shop where the owners of the store look like me and are professionals who truly understand how to help me look my best.

One of my favorite things about this beauty supply store is that you find unique items from local vendors like incredible Hair Souffle and Beard Balm by AmandatheStylist and T. Saulter's lavish lashes and glam glue pen by Eye Blink Pretty.

The atmosphere at Play Beauty is upbeat vibrant and colorful. It makes you feel good about you, the second you walk in. The décor is contemporary, modern and classy. The staff is très chic, personable, and very helpful.

Play Beauty stands out from the rest because it is obvious that a lot of care went into choosing the products that would fill their shelves. Although I found many products that are well known in the industry and many of my faves, I was also introduced to new products that I am sure will soon be added to my list of faves.The products are easy to find with an adequate selection of quality products, but not so many that you are overwhelmed. The prices are reasonable as well.

I appreciate the events that this establishment provides for its clients. They offer workshops, classes, information sessions with experts in the field to educate customers about self care and best practices. Many times their guest speakers are product creators with question and answer sessions. You can even find the team at Play going live on social media to keep you abreast of the latest products to hit the market to enhance your look and to tell you about in house specials.

Nneka and Kam, the owners, even offer delivery service for stylists! This a game changer! Play Beauty, you have thought of everything!
