Sandpiper Seafood and Oyster Bar

Excellent food! I got the 2 seafood combo small flounder and shrimp. More than enough for 1 person to eat. Ordered online and got a discount. Drive up pickup went very well. Highly recommend! Keep up the good work!

Nothing better than a fried shrimp and trout from Sandpiper. We eat there about twice a month.

Our visit on 12/30/23
The texting system for seating dropped us to the bottom of the list. When I inquire to why people were being called ahead of us they got it straight. However, it cost me 20 more minutes than it should have.
Still the best seafood around.

Quite a drive for us to get there, but well worth it. Called ahead with Google assistant and the reply was "no wait" for party of 4. Not sure I believed that (around 6 pm), but headed there anyway, came through the door and immedicately seated. "Stacey B" took our drink order, and unlike other places, talked directly to the kids (11 & 12). Came back with a generous plate of hush puppies and took our orders, and, within 10 mins returned with our plates! Food was great, generous portions (lunch and dinner the next day), and Stacey could not have been more perfect.

We chose this for my mother's birthday since we were all craving something different after Thanksgiving food burnout. SEAFOOD IT IS!
I had not been here in ages ( at least 20 years) and I feel like I've been missing out! Hands down a GREAT CHOICE! The food was amazing, the portions were superb, and the service was on point. No wait to be seated and they kept the delicious hushpuppies and drinks flowing 😊 until our entrees arrived. We will definitely be going back SOON!

We had seafood platters, small for her, large for me. We got clam chowder for starter and that too didn't disappoint.

Only disappointment for me was the coleslaw...one bite was enough for us.

Oh WOW!!! I'm telling anyone who would read this restaurant's evaluation, that the owners and managers, right along with their staff "has THIS place as First Place!" Their wait time for my wife and I was a No Wait situation. The food and service was Excellent.
It does not matter if you are from La Grange or not, because if you reside an hour away from the Sandpiper, it is definitely worth the drive or the wait time. You will not be disappointed.

The food was fabulous and tasty. The portion size was large. Had the four piece trout with slaw and fries. Excellent meal with outstanding service. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Always a favorite. Super friendly professional staff. Delicious crab legs, and awesome oysters. Couldn't eat them all so brought them home and made a great oyster stew. Was traveling and alone and a place like this makes it easy to eat alone. Great shuckers as well

Get here early unless you decide to order to go. The picture below is the reason why lol. Yes it tasted even better than it looks 😋 Fresh hot seafood, fast and friendly service make this establishment a favorite for me and my family. Have passed this place so many times on the highway. Finally stopped by. The food was perfect. Got a fish and shrimp plate and it's was packed with food. Customer service was excellent also.

The food was made to order. Very fresh! We were traveling. It stayed hot until we arrived at home. The hostess was very attentive!

Celebrating my Aunts Linda Jones & Joyce Moye birthdays. They were able to accommodate a party of 15. We had the greatest server & we tip good. The food was fresh hot & delicious. They give you plenty.Thanks Sandpiper for a wonderful Sunday dinner.

Love this place...never had anything I didn't like. The wait staff are excellent and on top of your needs. Best shrimp around.

All I have to say about THIS place is yummy food . Very clean very well management respectful waitresses and severs yes there is a waiting time yes it's very busy but the seafood is very delicious 😋 the plates are well full the prices are fair enough and I. Love the hush puppies are butter 😋 the only thing I wish is that they could get a bigger place and a bigger parking lot because if you don't get here way way early before it opens you'll have to hunt a spot to park and you'll end up waiting a while to get in and eat but as fare as the food I guess it's well worth the wait but it does feel like you're being rushed out because they need to get others waiting in so be ready to sit and run lol 😜😝😂.

They have the freshest seafood in this area. Great staff friendly service, reasonable prices with good portion sizes. They never disappoint, if your passing through the area give them a try.

As usual Sandpiper Seafood has not disappointed us, this was one great meal.

I like to sit in the back, at the oyster bar, it's a different vibe/experience than the front. Food is always great and good service. Better than a lot of coastal seafood restaurants.

It has been 20 years since we have eaten here. The food and serve is still great!
