Love the tour, David was a wealth of town history. I counted 85 steps up stairs, one upward slope, rest was downhill or downstairs. Ends under the bath house with an awesome original exterior wall parallel to a retaining wall supporting the road and the sidewalk as a ceiling.

Wonderful tour in the historic downtown of Eureka Springs. Our guide was very knowledgeable of the local lore, and all of the unique buildings and structures. Well worth the 1.5 hour tour.

Fun and easy going tour through a section of the downtown area of Eureka springs. It includes a visit to the old bathhouse. Lots of stairs and some hills, but also, frequent stops. We really enjoyed it.

I've been on guided tours in dozens of countries. This tour was one of my favorites. I highly recommend.

Overall, the tour was interesting. David's a great speaker and storyteller who hooks your attention for the whole 80 minutes (especially in the drowsy, stuffy heat of the summer!) and inspires you to come back and visit.

If you're a returning visitor, take this tour! Your perspective of Eureka Springs will change for the better, not just by its odd and ridiculous history but the cool, local traditions happening outside the summer months as well.

Thank you David!

Our tour guide David was wonderful. Not only does he look like a young George Clooney, but his knowledge of the history of Downtown Eureka Springs was informative and entertaining. You can tell this guide really has a passion for what he's doing for the community. He had a larger audience than I think he's used to for the tour I was on, and he still gave the best presentation. He also talked to people before the tour about their time frame and was willing to accommodate a commentary and experience that would suit all the needs of the group involved. He was so knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions anyone could throw at him. I think he would benefit from a microphone set so he isn't straining himself so much to give a good presentation to the people he is showing the town but that still didn't take away from the experience. It's wonderful that you have people that genuinely care about the history in town and it was great to learn about things to this service.

This tour was great. Mostly outside and not underground but great nevertheless. David was a wealth of knowledge and gives a great presentation. The back story of Eureka springs was amazing and all the little unique stories were worth the sweat! It was great to know that the ticket costs goes back into helping maintain the improvements to keep this town going. Thanks David!

This was a very good tour. Unfortunately we were there in July and most of the tour is actually downtown (not underground until the very end of the tour) and I was melting. But, worth every drop of sweat. David is an amazing fount of historical knowledge of Eureka Springs. I really loved the history and he’s a wonderful story teller. The extra tidbits of Ripley’s & famous historical figures were especially fun. I wish we would’ve brought more cash to leave him a bigger tip as he certainly earned it. I like the idea of getting him a walking mic as that might be less straining to his voice.

If you enjoy your vacations with a side of history I highly recommend taking the Underground Eureka tour. This is by far one of the best walking tours I have ever done, David was a fantastic guide who wove the town's history through an entertaining 90-minute walk around town and into the underground of the former bathhouse. The tour was a full timeline of the town's history and I left feeling more connected to this amazing part of our country. While there are many steps involved, 90% are downhill so it's very manageable if you have no mobility issues. Spoiler alert... if you do not like stairs do not come to Eureka Springs, it's built on the side of a hill, so If you come here you will encounter stairs everywhere you go. Overall. a truly must-do while you're here!

Fun tour. Loved hearing the stories and history of Eureka springs. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and spoke loud and clear. He spoke with excitement and he threw in a couple jokes here and there which kept the tour fun and interesting.

Made me love Eureka Springs even more! Such a funky little town. We went in December when it was really cold and windy, but the tour was just the right length for it to be enjoyable and I'm super cold natured. Most of it is outside.

Excellent tour with a super entertaining guide (David)! He is a great storyteller and very friendly, even managed to make the sour lady in the group smile. The tour starts from the flagpole and then climbing the steps in Basin Park up to the gazebo. This is the only uphill climb of the tour, rest is all downhill/down steps. The underground part is at the end and is about 10-15 min, seated for this part. Steps on the tour are often uneven, so if you have issues with steps, this would not be the tour for you. Otherwise, highly recommend!
