Very clean and well maintained. Beautiful scenery, nice swimming areas. We didn't camp but they looked very nice and well maintained. Lots of scuba diving going on with instructors. $5 ticket park all day anywhere, no cash to buy the tickets only debit and credit cards. Just below the fan the spring water is so cold you can't stand in it very long
Very shallow in areas to just walk out a little ways. Kind of cool. Great place to cook of on very hot days. Fishing is allowed too. Great family fun everywhere. The cliffs are cool too walk around too. Simply beautiful.

The roads to get to it are in good shape compared to most lake roads! Easy to get to and plenty of parking all around. They have Pavilions, grills, dumpsters, boat ramps, volleyball net, play ground, and bathrooms

This place has spectacular views. The sunsets are beautiful. The bathroom was very clean and had the soft toilet paper I have ever used. I camp here at least once a year.

Standing at the site of one of largest dam park in Arkansas. There was no water flow when we visited but still worthy place to check out

Beautiful place to camp each site has a kind of privacy feel even though there are campsites next to you. The area is clean and well maintained. There are several trails that lead to the water so you don't have to walk through another campsite to go fishing or floating. The trout fishing is top notch plenty of hungry fish to catch. And the Dam is in awesome back drop for pics when your holding up the beautiful rainbow trout you just caught. Its too bad the water is sooooo cold. The fog sitting right on top of the water is pretty spooky to float through.

We stayed here last weekend. It was rainy on and off. We loved the seclusion at 35. Pine trees galore which was perfect for our hammock. Few bugs. Peaceful. Great neighbors (for the most part). Clean area. Will be back!

Great place to cool off on a hot day. My wife and I were the only ones there for most of the day. Nice swimming and picnic area.

This is a fantastic lake. Well worth the drive. The water is very clear and it is not crowded. There are picnic areas, a basic marina, and boat launch. $4 to park your vehicle.

Great place to camp, clean, beautiful. We have camped at all the COE campgrounds around the dam, dam site, dam site river, dam site east, etc. Any one of these you can't go wrong, they are all well maintained, grass is cut, pickup after storms, and all the on-site personnel including hosts have been nothing but the nicest. You have to watch recreation.gov constantly to even have a chance at some of these campgrounds near the dam. All are worth the wait.

I use to work here for the Corp of engineers when I was 16. Beaver lake was named after my great grandfather. Bill Beaver. He founded the town of Beaver. It's about 3 miles below the dam. This is where my heart is. We are above the dam in this picture at the over look area. If you cross the dam from the north turn left and go up the hill. You will love the view. We stopped by on the island this trip.

The Dam is one of my favorite swimming places to visit. Bring $5 to pay to park. On one side is swimming and on the other is trout fishing. Make sure your license is up to date. You can easily renew it online. There are tables with grills available but they fill up quickly so you might bring your own. No hand washing stations on site. There is an outhouse style restroom.

The Corps of Engineers produce a lot of electricity which is used to lower the cost of electricity to Arkansas customers. In addition, the water that is dammed here created Beaver Lake 🦫 and provides a huge recreational space for boaters, hikers, fishermen, campers and nature enthusiasts.

The dam was awesome! They were releasing water in all seven spill ways. We felt like we were at Niagara Falls with all of the water spray. It was great being there.

This place is great.

The day-use cost is $5 per car in 2023. A fee may be paid using a credit card. This is true for most of the parks I visited in the area. Very convenient. The cam site entrance is located on the other side of the damn, so no RV's here.

There are covered tables and BBQ stations set up. The sites are well-spaced and I see people going into the water straight from there (not sure how legal is that though... )

There is a dedicated swimming section.

I went a few times in August throughout the week, and the place wasn't crowded at all.

The water was clear and warm. This is a great spot to enjoy water activities with family.

Note that there is no lifeguard on duty.

On the last day, there was a sign prohibiting swimming, so, probably a good idea to check in advance if swimming is the main reason for visiting the place.

There is also a small park for the kids to play, something my kid did defiantly enjoyed.

Additionally, there are restrooms and fresh water to wash off the sand.

Overall, a great place to spend time or just take a swim and cool down, as summers can be cruel in this area.

Some of the clearest and cleanest water I've seen in NWA. I hope the people who visit this area appreciate the cleanliness and beauty of this location and do their part to keep it clean and beautiful. Make sure you wear your water shoes if you visit. The majority of the beach line is rocky. There are quite a few covered picnic tables and grills, however if you're visiting over the weekend you need to arrive early to grab an available spot. If you visit later in the day, I recommend bringing a shade tent and portable grill!

I prefer to let the pics speak for themselves but this park was gorgeous. The campsites were well spaced and right off the river, or down the street from the lake. I enjoy coming here every year and it is always well worth the drive from Oklahoma.

Love this place. Stop here everything I'm out riding my motorcycle and I'm in this area.
Been coming here since late 60's or early 70's.
Not a lot to do here, it's just a real pretty place.
