Awesome place. The trails are well marked, varied and go all around the lake area. We could have spent an entire day exploring. Trails are graveled for the most part so very easy but some variation to make for a nice bit of hiking. The shoreline trails is very rocky and at some places a bit slippery. What I really liked was that the trails connect to each other making it easy to loop your routes. The lake is beautiful with clear water and there are wonderful views from over the dam.

Wish I could’ve stayed longer! We took the fuller trail to the point and hiked shoreline trail back. We rented a canoe and enjoyed the the fresh breeze! It was breathtaking and refreshing. I will definitely be back!

We walked the shoreline trail to the dam, the walkway across the dam had just reopened apparently. We continued around the east side, Beacham trail, and back to the parking area. Nice trail system, well marked. Generally flat with some hills on Beacham.

A great lake to go on a paddle boat/paddle board/kayak. The trails are nice to hike and you can get some beautiful photos there as well. Superb couple day or family friendly trip here. Make sure if you rent a paddle boat to get at least 2 hrs or you wont have time to see as much as you would like to.

What an amazing hike! We took the lake trail all the way out to the dam. The walkway is closed, so we walked to the downstream side and explored for a bit. On the way back, we chose the overlook trail. The views and rock formations are great. I'm glad it was closed and we got to hike up for the view.

Quiet gem. We did the hike around the lake...great trail. You can rent kayaks to paddle around if you are so inclined. The tent pads and camp sites are very nice. Overall a great spot. Also, close by are the Leatherwood Gravity Trails.

Was a nice hike depending on how far you decide to go. We stuck close to the lake. Was pretty dry when we went in June. Looks like there would have been several nice creeks flowing had it rained recently. Hiked to the dam and it was very pretty and even though mostly dry deep enough to wade and kids to swim a bit.

Great trail right in Eureka Springs. The trails are all well marked and maintained. Lots of cool rock formations and mosquitoes 🦟.

Hiked the Beacham Trail from the recreation area to the dam and then back. The trail wraps around the whole lake, but the part on the other side of the dam didn't seem as open as the first half. If we'd had better walking shoes we probably would have kept going. On the map of trails, Beacham Trail is marked as being paved, but really it's just a lot of rocks. No concrete. The hike was really nice. Since it had rained a couple of days before, we were able to hear the small streams rushing by, as well as birds chirping and even a woodpecker. Getting to the dam took about an hour, but getting to the dam and then walking down to feel the waterfall was definitely worth it! We even walked into the trees a little to cool off in the mist. My only complaint (which I shouldn't even complain about since we were in the woods) is the amount of spider webs we ran into. Waving a stick in front of you helps a lot.

Very nice trail and beautiful lake. There are many offshoot trails. Wish I had time to try them all.

Haven't been camping, fishing or kayaking yet, but looks like a great place and will definitely be coming back for all of these things. Lots of camping spots in great shade. Nice sites and bathrooms look awesome.

Beautiful trails to walk! The trail we walked was long but manageable around the lake (roughly 2-2.5 hours). But I think the length was due to having a hard time finding the correct trail to get back to our car. So my only complaint is that signs were NOT frequent and when they were posted they were a little confusing.

Fun a little trail system with some old school trails and many new sections that are soon to open in June/July 2018. Be prepared to do some climbing on the Twin Knobs trail but it's worth it! They also offer a nice campground off the trail, boat rentals, and a swimming area.

Camping area with paddle boat and canoe rentals. Long hiking trail around the lake. Took us about an hour and 40 minutes to go around the lake completely with only a couple stops for a few photos.

Beautiful. The kayak and pedal boat rental people are friendly. There's a bath house, and trails that are worth the nice walk.

Always a great place to hike and chill out. One of our favorite easy hikes, good for beginners.

At the bottom, by the lake there is a bait/gift shop right off the launch for the canoes. It was a breath of fresh air to have a knowledgeable, young lady in there to help us with questions we had about the area and trails. She knew the place well, both historically and geographically. Not a common thing these days! Lake was beautiful, kids swimming and families on pedal boats.

Had a blast shredding these trails they are technical and fast. I promise if you're into riding your mountain bike you won't get bored on these trails.
