Great quilt & textile museum! They have exhibitions on, teach classes / workshops, & most importantly, if you call a week or so in advance, they will do a bed turning for you. They take you into their quilt archive & will show you historic quilts with advance notice! Staff are friendly, dedicated, & the museum itself sells very beautiful things made by local textile artists.

When we visited, there was an artist working in the loom room.

It's so nice coming back here ever so often. They usually have people on the looms and doing artistic works, but not day. There was a room with beautiful artistic baskets, bags and more. I wasn't allowed to take photos of these objects, because they will be going on to a other exhibit coming up. You just need to go and see them. There are about four works that are exceptional. They took my breath away!

Every fiber artist LOVES the creative energy and nostalgic history of this living interactive exhibition;

Including historic displays, & bi-monthly feature exhibit, there are real life textile artists gatherings, to list a few:
.. Tuesday - Fiber Arts Group
.. Thursday - Morning & Evening Knit Group
.. Friday - Fabric Weavers & Rug Hookers

If you are a fiber artist or textile enthusiast, you will not want to leave and you’ll be back over & over again to pick-up supplies or finished textile products.

Considering this is a mostly volunteer run non-profit organization, the small (currently $4) entrance fee is well worth your value, or become a member and join the good work!

Amazing textile art on display for this open house. So many unique and wonderful items available to see and buy. I poured thru the basket of antique buttons and spent only .75 cents on a small ziploc full that I chose!

Very cool little place for anyone who enjoys fiber arts. A museum, classroom, workspace and shop all in one!
All the staff members are very friendly and helpful. I learned how to weave on a loom for the first time which was a great experience! Amazing displays of historical items. They sell bundles of yarn sheared right from the cute & friendly llamas who greet you from the field right outside 🦙🦙🦙

Very interesting place to visit if you're interested in textiles as a hobby. Very friendly staff that showed us around and described the process of creating textiles. Also beautiful displays of handmade rugs, quilts and various apparel. I highly recommend visiting Latimer Quilts!

Wow! A living museum! A place working to preserve arts and crafts. Housed in an old school house, this has a little something for everyone. They focus on quilting and weaving but knitters and Crocheters will find it appealing! Members sell their makes and you can see them in action. Everything is beautifully displayed. A little gem!

Quaint little museum and textile center. Beautiful old and new quilts on display and to buy as well. For the summer 2020 there is a temporary show on the colour indigo. Welcoming place.

Such an unassuming building and such treasure to be found! The quilts exhibit changes every 2 months and runs from geometric shapes and traditional designs to creative and innovative use of the craft. There is a room full of looms where people meet regularly to weave. And other delights are there to be discovered. Certainly worth a stop and visit.

This place is super cool! They have a room full of huge and beautiful quilts that are over 100 years old. The stitching and handiwork is exquisite, especially considering they were sewn by hand. Amazing and a neat little place to stop by and support. Bought some very cool hand spun/ hand dyed alpaca yarn while I was there.

We found this Center via internet. We found the Center to be extremely friendly and welcoming. There was a local quilt Artist who had some incredible work, very technical and beautiful. A few locals were working on looms and provided us with more details on looming.
There are sewing diaramas and other arts. There are textiles, threads, and other items for sale. It was a fantastic visit. Perhaps will stop again when in Tillamook.

A place of never ending fascination for anyone who enjoys fiber arts! You can see spinning, weaving, knitting, crochet and quilting. Oh, the quilts, from antique to modern. A wide variety of crafts and craft books for sale at reasonable prices. For organized tours there's an additional attraction of a bed turning of antique quilts and their stories. I LOVE this place!

A great place even if you aren't a fiber artist! Everyone is friendly and happy to educate, and you can even watch the artists while they work.

As long as you can appreciate the time and effort that goes into each piece, you'll have a great time.
