If you love pizza and are also a vegan then this is the place to go.
I will say, the pizza is actually even better the next day after a good crisp at 400° 😋

This place is still the same after 25 years or more when I was first living in Portland. Economic slices, fast service and the pizza is good. Fun to sit by the window and watch the people walk by. My daughter said she could sit there for hours since you have a front row seat for people watching.

This is our local neighborhood pizza joint. Today I was dining in with my daughter. The owner (presumably) whom I’ve seen on previous visits being very kind to his employees and always has a smile share, gave me a complimentary box of hot macaroni and cheese fresh out of the oven! It’s super tasty just like pizza slices, and I really appreciated the gesture, as it had just started snowing. Who doesn’t love hot free Mac and Cheese with a crunchy top on a cold day?!?

The employees are also very kind, and always friendly even if it’s busy due to the high volume of orders.

I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a quick, tasty, affordable and family friendly pizza place.

Perfect local spot to grab a pizza on the go. We placed a to-go order to enjoy during an afternoon in the park. Hot Lips Pizza had our pie piping hot and ready to eat. They have a dedicated take away parking spot so pick up was easy. Staff was fast and friendly. You can do a food allergy happy dance because they have gluten and dairy free options available. We found a picnic table and filled our tummies with delicious pizza.

I love Hot Lips 👄 pizza! Fresh, local, and made right! Best ranch dressing in town! Owner is a awesome dude to talk to as well!

My new favorite pizza joint! Whoever is back there making the pizza, keep up the great work. So many wonderful options for pizza by the slice, but you can never go wrong with pepperoni. Thin crust pizza perfectly flavored sauce and yummy pepperoni. Lots of drink options and plenty of seating inside and out.

I'm pretty basic. The pepperoni pizza is delicious and they get the crust and sauce right. The garlic bread sticks are notable as well.

5 stars for the Hot Lips Apple soda…. Bring it back if you ever want my money again! 🥲 best soda ever and was discontinued. I dream about this soda.

As a visitor to Portland, I was advised to try this local favorite. Tried a few slices and the bread stick. The vegan slice ($3.75) was my favorite! The vegetables were not soggy at all, it was full of flavour and definitely the most colorful pizza I've seen. The place also has many arcade games and book shelf. I read that they also do writing workshops. It's just a casual yet one of a kind place.

Got the Joe Rogan special pineapple and anchovies. Great combo a little salty cause of the anchovies but I’d try again.

While on our way to work, we decided to stop for lunch since most food carts and restaurants were closed. Hotlips on Hawthorne was open and the pizzas were wonderful! I always have to eat gluten free and their gluten free crust was the better than most GF crusts. They are a family business and we love to support family businesses!

Went here during the Pizza Week event in Portland. The pizza was great, they had some pizzas premade and would warm up a slice that you ordered.

I had the Vegan pizza without the vegan cheese. It was good, but I do wish that their pesto was a bit more powerful.

The Pepperoni pizza was great, the pepperoni was very small as you can see in the pictures. Each bite had a lot of flavor.

I could see myself ordering a few large pizzas for an event like a birthday or something.

I had issues picking up but these folks were fantastic. I called and spoke to the GM and he was very accommodating. They made it work for us without any problem. The food was really great. I highly recommend them!

needing food, i walked over here after watching the boy and the heron. i’m extremely grateful i did. a slice of the nutty vegan kept my spirits high. some of the nicest vegan pizza i’ve had. the staff were so kind too!

walk over to hotlips after catching a life-affirming movie. or honestly, any time the door’s open.

As a long time out of town fan, I was tickled to find HOTLIPS still kicking post-pandemic. Even living up in Seattle there are almost no places that compete with both the flavor and sheer variety of crazy pizzas you can get here and the breadsticks have no peer. You won't find better sticks than the basil pesto breadsticks.

Not sure what these kids were up to in the kitchen today but stopped by and took a chance on the chefs special and it was really good and interesting. A cilantro pesto chimichurri thing ? Super nice staff . Loved it

I ate vegan pizza and so so so so delicious 😋😋😋. Source is so unique I didn’t test before and dough is thinner. It wasn’t like eating pizza and it’s not feel heavy. Supper supper.

Nice folk and good food. We went because we saw photos of pinball machines there and they removed them.
