Cute gourmet grocery store with fresh deli, cheese, meats, pasta, chocolates, and Italian goods section with a side of produce. There's even a wine bar that you can go to sip wine while you wait out the rain. I always see locals coming in to pick up food from the various deli sections.

My favorite part is the cheese deli since they stock up on a few tasty cheeses made with vegetarian rennet and they let you try before buying. Second favorite section is their chocolate bars, which contains an amazing selection to choose from.

Excellent produce, and the dry goods shelves/meat & cheese counters have endless treasures. I can't resist the Napoleons and the lasagna in the deli case. Arrosto inside does an amazing roast chicken dinner with salad, potatoes and heavenly foccacia that is a good value. Love having this spot with walking distance!

Warning.Do not enter if you are hungry. I was looking for Mortadella and founded in this store. Delicious.

Ordered a large charcuterie board and antipasti board for a small party. Stunning! The boards were beautiful & and unique & my guests raved about them. Gorgeous market too!

Would give more stars if I could, this place is actually the best! The cheese and chocolate selection were probably my favorite parts, but everyone was so nice and helpful. There was an amazing person with purple hair at the cheese counter today that helped my partners and I with all of our questions and let us try some super yummy cheese samples. This place was clean, very well organized, I'll admit its layout isn't great for a lot of people being in the store at once, but that was really the only issue I had. I could see a lot of people wanting to complain about pricing, but that's just the cost of getting high quality products from small businesses.

If only they had one of these in Seattle! But that's what makes this grocery spot so unique - truly one of a kind. I must have spent an hour here my first visit, loading up on all sorts of interesting imported foods. Beautifully curated and stocked, and oh-so- friendly help. Clean bathrooms to boot and lots of dine in options as well as a cool wine bar in back. This is my #1 must-see now in any visit to PDX.

I love Portland! Lol. You can count on places like this everywhere you go. “Places like this” meaning…

- Breakside! My BFF works there so I’m a fan of everywhere that carries it
- Items/Spices/Snacks from different geographic locations
- Great mix of local and mass market varieties

This place is sooo special. I love the variety of pastries, but some run out quick! Love their fresh pasta, fresh produce, chocolate and well everything. I drop in once a month and get my fix! Still thinking of that delicious focacia.

Love shopping at Providore— there are so many fun and unique ingredients to explore. The produce is also top notch.

This place is a gem. The massive selection of deli foods including cured meats, cheeses and salads makes it a stop just for that. Fresh fruits and vegetables of pretty high quality. I mean they let me try a delicious strawberry and it blew up in my mouth. The pasta they make is great for fresh dishes. And the samples! They are not shy in letting you try before you buy. I would recommend this store to anyone looking to enjoy market experience. The restaurant I hear has good food but I haven't had it yet. I always come back because this is the main place I get my guanciale for my carbonara! Wonderful staff and atmosphere.

Local organic produce from local farms and local meat from small farms. It’s difficult to find these items outside of farmers markets. Highly recommend.

Well Hello! I have been enjoying thos outstanding store full of the best quality everything this week. I want to highlight the wonderful person at the cheese counter, cured meat counter, wine counter. All your lovely and welcoming staff are helpful and make me feel welcome. This is the best quality food in town… Rubinette curates the produce and, if I don’t make the farmers market, I’m able to find what I missed here… also the butcher offers the finest options for beef and pork… and the cheeses and salamis… i spend all my money here as it is expensive, but I feel fantastic from it

Very neat spot to pick up your gourmet groceries. Lots of good choices for local meats, cheeses, baked goods, and booze. It can be pricey but you get what you pay for.

Stumbled upon this place while walking down the street and noticed something smelling great so we had to stop! This market is filled with many vendors and lunch was perfect here. Grabbed salmon poke and a sandwich. Can't wait to go back!

I was floored by this store. They have nearly every kind of gourmet goodie you could think of. Wine, fresh pasta, a meat counter, seafood, baked goods, premade sandwiches and salads, produce, chocolate, cheese counter, spices, grits from the south, olive oils and vinegar from around the world. Duke's mayo next to Kewpie, babka next to focaccia, harissa next to chili crisp, It's Its next to Paletas, Rancho Gordo beans, Marsh Hen Mills cornmeal, Torres Iberian ham potato chips. Amazing.

Having attended CCHS from '57-'61, I stopped at 24th and Sandy from the bus every school day. In the last 5 yrs, my son introduced me to your wonderful market. I live in SF. Your shop is a compact version of our "go to", Rainbow, but you've got the meat! Been in your delightful store 3x. Well-managed, well-stocked, well priced, well-informed. Open a branch on Polk Street near Nob Hill, I'll be there!

The cheese section alone brought me back twice in two weeks and I live 3 hours away. Amazing staff and heavenly goodies of all kinds!

Awesome specialty grocery, great wine and cheese selection, freshly made pasta dough. With quality rotating produce, this store is a constant source for inspiration for seasonal cooking. They also have great sanwhiches and prepared foods. Be warned it is extremely easy to spend way too much money here, but there are a lot of things like wine and deli items that are very reasonably priced. Don't sleep on the freshly made in-house pasta sheets.
