Bar Julian

What a surprise this place was for breakfast. We stayed at this beautiful hotel and went here for breakfast and what a view. Staff was great, and the food was so good. I just wish I could have eaten more. They have outside seating and it is also a bar which I'm sure is great at night. But if all I know is if you are in the area breakfast here is a must.

I really enjoyed the food, drinks and view. The view is just jaw dropping. Really great vibes here too. We had the mezze platter, salad and a flatbread. All came out very fresh and hot. Amazing first night in Savannah experience. Highly recommend the outdoor seating for the best views!

I am rating breakfast at the Thompson Savannah. It's held daily on the top floor in Bar Julien.

The shrimp and rice grits was spectacular. The most unusual and delicious breakfast I've had in decades. I love barbecue shrimp, congee, and fried shrimp. Somehow this dish combined all of those textures and flavors into something better than the parts. I'm not a grits person, but i love rice. I'm now a huge fan of rice grits.

Service was good. The view is stunning.

Had a great experience for both a late night snack as well as breakfast on our 3rd day. Food was well prepared, drinks were made perfectly, and the staff were friendly.

What a roof-top location right on the Savannah River! At night, you can get the best view of the sunset in town and during the day, you can watch massive cargo ships navigate through the Savannah River.

They have amazing, photo-worthy cocktails that change up quite a bit and their food is SO GOOD! Their flatbread and pita dough is the best I've had. Quite a few of their dishes have a yummy Mediterranean twist.

A sunset cocktail at bar Julian is an amazing way to start the night in Savannah. Skip the over-priced hamburgers and frozen hangovers and Wet Willies and go to bar Julian instead.

My favorite rooftop in Savannah. The drinks, the food, the view, the atmosphere… 10/10 for me. Love the whipped feta spread and always get one of their pizzas. Their menu is usually consistent, but each time I come there’s something slightly different to each dish, in the best way. You can’t really go wrong with anything on the menu and their drinks are top notch - surprisingly make a really great spicy margarita here too. Come for drinks, or dinner, or sunset, or all of the above, it’s always a good time.

Open, bright and cheerful bar with amazing view. The menu has tasty bar apps. The cocktails and the selection of wines were both impressive.

Bar Julian is one of our favorite places for an amazing cocktail and the most beautiful sunset. We brought our girls while they were visiting and they loved it!

Food and drinks are great! We had mussels, flatbread and pepperoni pide along with drinks. Highly recommend. Wait for a table was shorter than expected so we were happy. Check with the hostess before you sit down at a table.

Hands down the best view of Savannah! Absolutely stunning views of the entire city. Highly recommend making a reservation for this spot, however they do accept walk ins. The menu is mainly Mediterranean style food. The whipped feta and bread is a must and the pizzas are divine. We will most definitely be back.

Bar Julian is legit our go to in Downtown Savannah! It has quickly become our favorite spot because it is hands down the best rooftop in the city boasting the best views of downtown!

LITERALLY BAR JULIAN HAS THE BEST VIEW OF SAVANNAH! Go out on their patio to the left when you walk in and soak it up! Its the best view of Historic Savannah's Skyline giving you all the things from the port with ships and water sights to all the history you can clearly see in all directions! Don't get us start about the bridge what a great view of the bridge! The sunset here is marvelous!

Not only do you get the best views of Savannah but the food is delectable as well having become a staple in our eating routine! Our order always consists of their perfect bread, hummus, cauliflower, and cheese boat!

ALSO the team here is always spot on! The management makes you feel like family and has you feeling super accommodated and happy! We are a fan of their servers & bartenders always feeling so taken care of!

YOU CAN NOT GO WRONG WITH THIS PLACE! WE LOVE IT HERE AND WILL ALWAYS RECOMMEND BAR JULIAN!

The experience our large group had at this restaurant was such an unexpected surprise. The view was stunning, the ambiance was literally perfect, the staff were so attentive, their cocktail list was what dreams were made of, but….THE FOOD WAS IMPECCABLE. Please do yourself a favor and get the mezze platter. It has something that will please everyone. Absolutely loved the whipped feta and the Marconi nuts, but the pita bread was out of this world and perhaps one of the highlights of my dining experiences in Savannah. Also, don’t sleep on the pepperoni butter. The salads and pizza were all top notch, and the pizza crust really left an impression on me. Grateful to have experienced such a phenomenal but laid back dining environment.

Had the pleasure of staying in the Thompson Savannah hotel and this lovely gem of a bar/restaurant was on its roof. The view is amazing with seating for groups of 4 or if traveling solo and want to catch the sun coming down it is perfect for both options. Ask for the fresh bread they bake to start as it’s absolutely delicious with its dip they include. The drinks were tasty, had the pizza and it was very tasty as well. You don’t have to be staying in the hotel to come to this place so certainly drop on by and catch the view!

so mad I didn't find this place sooner! mezze platter is divine and the bread is sooooo good. pizza are great also you can tell the ingredients are top notch. the cocktails are finely crafted and great ambience and views . a hidden gem

Located on the roof of the Thompson Hotel this is the highest rooftop bar in Savannah with some great views.

We came in for a few drinks and light bites and had a great time. The Diavolo pizza was delicious and the Mezze Platter was phenomenal. To drink I wanted something with bourbon and our waitress recommended the New York Sunrise with bourbon and spiced red wine. So good! Highly recommended. It's rare for everything to be perfect. VERY RARE! I'm picky as hell. The ambiance, the pineapple mimosa, the food, the service were all top notch. If you ever get to Savannah please head Bar Julien!

One of the best rooftop views in the city. They have great drinks and food as well. The cauliflower is amazing!

Went for the first time today for lunch. Beautiful views. They have two sides of the rooftop outside so depending on the time you can be in the shade (west side in the morning and east side in the afternoon) friendly staff. Had the personal pizza and it had loads of flavor. Will be back!

The location is really nice, the food is good and so are the drinks! The night was extremely busy and the service was not as attentive but everyone was still very nice. I had a gin and a whiskey cocktail and both were so delightful. My husband got the old fashioned and a beer and they were good but the old fashioned was a bit overpriced for what it is. For food we had the hummus and house bread to start and we loved it. Then for our meal we had the pizza, cauliflower and falafel and it was all very delicious. I do think the falafels should be bigger or there should be more than 3. Overall we had a great time and there was live music which we really enjoyed.
