If you are into basics and not looking for a campground that has "resort" embedded in the name, this place might be for you.  If you are looking to stretch your dollars this place might be for you.  This campground is not going to suit everyone's fancy,  but it certainly did mine.

For $15/ night you get a designated site that you get to pick from the ones available.  You get a graveled site that is level with plenty of space between you and your neighbors. You get water fill stations and clean bathrooms with flush toilets.

No dump station.  A dumpster is available for your trash.

By my count there are 30 RV sites and a section for tent camping.

You are camping right beside a sleepy little airport that has a few small aircraft leaving and arriving.

The highway noise from U.S. Hwy 101 can be heard off in the distance.  The highway is 2/10 of a mile away.

This is heaven for campers that are looking for maximum sun for their solar panels. Not many sites have any shade.

A camp host is on site.

When you arrive pick out a site then proceed to the RV Office building near the airport gate.   There are envelopes there to put your cash in.  Have exact change.  Cash only.  No checks.

Note: Tillamook Creamy buys 1.6 million gallons of milk DAILY from the local farmers.  You might get a whiff of that milk being made,  if you catch my drift.

Be sure to check out the Air Museum before you leave.

Beyond affordable, I hate to describe it as cheap because it's a great little spot, and while the price could be described as being cheap, the actual RV park is anything but! Sure, you don't have showers, but there's still bathrooms and it's quiet and peaceful. I was a little nervous about how close it's location is to Tillamook Airport. (you drive up literally the same road to the main entrance for both the airport and the RV park, and the office for the park is up against the fence that surrounds the airport....) Fortunately, it's not a busy airport, and I heard no planes after the sun went down. In fact, I'd have to say that HWY 101 was louder than the airport, and even it wasn't that bad! Easy self-check in system too. I can't say enough good stuff about this spot!!!!!!

Surprisingly serene! This place is a hidden gem for anyone looking for a dry camping location near the city of Tillamook. $15/day, freshwater is available, just not at the campsites. Each site is graded with gravel, and we found our site to be perfectly level. There is a small dumpster onsite for garbage. A campground host is onsite and everything feels very safe. The Tillamook Air Museum is close by, and occasionally a plane or helicopter will take off from the airport. Nothing too bothersome.

We like staying here when we come to town to see family and friends. Quiet and large sites. We enjoy the activity at the airport with some old and historic aircraft making an occasional appearance.

This is a great place to camp. It is quiet, the weather was great, and reasonably priced. There is so much to see in the area. The only negative is you cannot reserve a space, it is on a first come first serve basis. About the middle of the week as campers left, the camp host placed orange cones in about 6 camping spots to save them for people he knew. It is unfortunate that the camp host is allowed to break the rules for his own benefit. Aside from this, I would still stay here again.

Excellent dry camping. $20/night in October 2023. Quiet, grassy area. Close to town.

For anyone who is traveling in a self contained RV or camper along Highway 101 in mid central Oregon this place is so nice. A little park that is self serve. Nicer than most RV parks. Grassy park with gravel sites and some trees. Not a BIG parking lot!! We needed a place for tonight as we traveled north to North Washington and this popped up. It is actually called Blimp Base and RV Park, Tillamook, OR

We stayed one night in our Skoolie. Simple, clean, super quiet, good space and great bathrooms. We didn't see any hosts, there were 7 cop cars dealing with a few other campers when we pulled up but we didn't hear any issues the rest of the night. If the hosts see this, we found a key for the CAT machines doing construction and put it in the drop box for fees. Thanks for the stay.

It is what it is. It dry camping on level gravel pads next to the airport. Great view of the Air Museum (Blimp Hanger) across the airport. Water is available on site, flush bathrooms, no showers. Great if you are self contained. Tent sites are available.

Hidden over night Gem. This is a very nice little park for a weekend if you want to explore the Tillamook area. The are no hook ups but the park has two water spigots. The sites are large and fairly level. The cost per night is $15. It is right off Hwy 101, but not visible, do not go towards the Air Museum in search of the park It loss a star because the bathrooms are out of the way, and it is not easy to find.
