Maytag MetroMat Laundromat

I’m staying in Old Town, but this place is worth the 45+ minute bus ride to Gresham. The owner is super nice and the machines are spotless and well maintained. The only down note is the bathroom. It’s kept very clean but needs a powerful ventilation fan to combat the funk.

I’ll give this laundromat an 85. It has a good beat and you can dance to it.

Very clean, machines and facilities are are sparkling clean. The Maytag machines make clothes extra clean and bright. The staff is very kind and attentive. The prices are fair and they take quarters or pay by phone.

Love this laundromat. Had my washing machine break down and I've gone to a few places. They have a change machine if you have cash. They also accept pay range if you just wanna use the super convenient app. Love using the app. The employees are wonderful here and always willing to help out and be very informative. It's nice thay you don't have to come with a bunch of quarters to get your laundry done. Bring your own soap and whatnot. Be ready for heat cause it is pretty warm in there with all the machines running. If you can't find a free machine, let an employee know cause they will let you know when one is free and they know if you've been there for awhile. Super convenient with all the different pay options. Its nice not to have to make a trip to the bank for quarters when you can use the app or their change machine. Parking is easy. There's an extra lot behind the building if you drive around the dollar tree so you don't have to carry your laundry for far at all.

Yes this is my go to laundry mat! they keep it clean through out the day and sanitize at night. The owner lady is awesome if u need assistance or refund no problem. machines are big and all the dyers work! I've never had a problem here n all the years I've came

This is my favorite laundry mat ever. The prices are fantastic. The whole place is super clean and all the machines work. There is a functioning and clean bathroom. The owner is so friendly and helpful, she has a great vibe.

The laundromat is always clean love every thing about it the owner she is so nice she dose what she can to help people out and helps out the ppl that can't afford to wash there cloths on a certain day of the week she is all around awesome woman i would recommend her laundromats to anyone

This place is great to do laundry! It's very fairly priced with 3 different sized washers ranging from $2.50-$6 no matter the load you can wash everything from blankets to giant comforters with ease. Their dryers are amazing! So huge I've been able to fit 3 washer loads into 1 dryer and still had room for more! Not to mention they dry EXCEPTIONALLY WELL and they take only 1 quarter to get started. I've spent $2 on drying the 3 washer load and my clothes were way too hot to touch with my bare hands that's how good they are! It can get very busy there and now i know why! Great place and usually someone is there.

I came here because of the great reviews, and they were right! This place is incredibly clean. I’m new to the area and I hadn’t been to a laundromat in years. Nicole, who I later discovered was the owner, quickly recognized my lack of knowledge and gave me a run down on how the machines work and how to use the PayRange app (so easy!) Throughout my visit we chatted (there were definitely regulars in there and everyone seemed very at home) while she was constantly wiping surfaces down.

I came at 5:30pm on a Tuesday and it was chill in there; I had no problem getting machines, and there are plenty of laundry carts and clean folding surfaces. Also they played good music. Great experience, will definitely be back!

I had a slight issue, called, and guy responded RIGHT AWAY! And the female came within 5 min! Very friendly, clean, cheap and highly recommend

The Manager keeps this place operating smoothly and keeps it very clean! Very friendly, helpful and informative staff. A nice atmosphere with good music. You can pay for washes via app if out of quarters!

Great! Near my house and they work hard to keep it clean, which is much appreciated 👍 there are some wierd tweakers around outside the place so I bring my pepper spray. Other then that they have xxl washers for $6 a triple load and 25 cents per 7 mins on the dryer which fits about four loads of laundry, and drys very nicely. Folding tables and chairs also kept very clean. Thanks for fullfilling all my needs when my at home washer broke! Is usually busy but there is room for your laundry. You just might not get two washers/dryers next to each other which I prefer. They also sell single load soap and Downy and snuggle sheets for a dollar.

The 2 most important details at a laundromat in my opinion are that the machines actually work and everything is clean... this place covers those, and goes above and beyond! If I owned a laundry facility this is how I'd run my place. The only request I would have is maybe 24 hour access or extended hours. I know that comes with a few possible issues but it would be so helpful to people that have weird work hours or are night owls, etc. Thank you to the owner(s) that make this place enjoyable to be at!

Clean, friendly, and decent. Bathroom was spotless. The owner was so kind to me and helped me get started...I felt so silly because it's been a while..but she helped me and made my daughter and I felt comfortable. In fact she was happy and running around helping everybody. She cares about what she is doing. I highly recommend coming here to do your laundry.

In Portland on business and my travel planner messed up and didn't put me in a hotel with onsite laundry. With some trepidation, I started looking for a laundromat. I haven't had to use one in over two decades and the memories I had were wholly unfavorable. I found this place near the location I am working out of and it had the best ratings. Decided to go first thing in the morning (they open at 7am) and was impressed! Very clean, all machines working with detergent and softener stocked up. I was able to put my clothes in two washing machines, go have breakfast and relax in my car while they washed. Popped the two loads in two dryers, then took a nap in my rental car. Folded my clothes, and got to my work site by 9am. 10/10 would recommend for travelers looking for a nice place to do laundry.

I think a lot of the few negative reviews are for another location named similarly, but that location isn't the Maytag location this one is.
