Helmut's Strudel

Great little place to get your strudel on! My wife and I tried the variety of pastries and they were exquisite. The outside sitting area is great for a relaxed dining environment and the view is calming and inviting.

ADORABLE shop! In better weather can sit out front or out back on the ocean. Bought every flavor I could - apple, cheese and apricot

They have amazing strudels and coffee. Definitely after having lunch at a restaurant in Rockport. Seat and relax in the back porch and enjoy the view!

Went there because many of our friends recommended it, we loved their pastries. The sweet cheese strudel was a really nice surprise, we liked it very much.
They also have a small deck overlooking the bay, we spent a few minutes there and enjoyed the view.

Fantastic strudel at this family owned bakery! They also serve a variety of danishes with cheese and jam fillings. Their day old sale tastes great and they offer an assortment of three pastries for only $3.25 - what a bargain! The people are very friendly and the service is very courtes.

Been going here since the early 90s! The place has never changed which is part of it's irresistible charm! Delicious Strudel and pastries and the perfect cup of coffee on a cool foggy day! The staff are very nice as well!

decadent, delicious, aromatically enticing, incomparable. I look forward to their strudel and croissants each year when we visit Cape Ann and always, always make a stop on our way out of town for loads of strudel to go! Yum!

I asked for three espresso shots put into a bowl with ice cream. It turns out I'm not the first person to order that. They gave me spoons and napkins and wished me well. My journey was fruitful

A great little bakery known for its strudel, right on the water. The location and studel can't be best. It is cash only so be sure to stop at an ATM on your way. The area is often crowded so be prepared to park and walk from further downtown.

The most delicious food in town. Also, they have not claimed this business on Google and the hours are completely wrong. It's almost June and they're only open on the weekends, I would've already spent hundreds by this time in the season so kinda glad they're closed 😅

I really.love.their strudel. Its light flaky and full of flavor. Their back deck has amazing views of the harbor. I can't say enough good things about then, just go!

Idk how others review Helmut's, but personally for me, this is the best coffee/bakery area to visit on earth I can think of finding. It'd be pretty difficult to top this in future where ever I travel. Just go and see the view out if you try this place. The place is awe inspiring.

Wonderful, tasty and fresh pastries even in the mid-afternoon! Nice peach iced tea too...and a reasonable bathroom. Great casual place for a treat when in Rockport.

I’ve been coming to Helmut’s since I was a little kid. Every time I get the apple strudel with vanilla ice cream. The strudel is always flaky and filled with just enough apple. You must stop here if you are walking around Bear Skin Neck!

The apple strudel was perfect. A lot of apples, not over sugary, good spice mix, super flaky, that's a compliment:). It goes well with their very natural tasting vanilla icecream. Service was very good! Clean. And, if you are lucky you get to sit on their deck with the water view.

Coffee is excellent, and so are pastries. If you are on a budget, they usually have bags of day old pastries for sale which are almost as good and much cheaper.
