The Rhumb Line Bar & Restaurant

The bar is intimate and cozy with an attentive bartender/server behind it. There weren't any tables, that I could see, just the bar and some benches by the window. The White Apple Sangria was deliciously dangerous and the food was amazing! Definitely would go back!

If I go to Gloucester, you know I will wait there for you, The Rhumb line is waiting there too. Ra Ra Riot named their 2008 album after this place. I love it.

Live music every night!!! Great staff!!! I recently ate there always treated more like a bar but the menu has good options and was all delicious!!! I’ve been missing out

It is a real bar with live music! Great atmosphere and lots of people dancing! The band was incredible! We danced the whole night!

Loved the music! 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night in early October. We came for drinks and appetizers. We're visiting from Cleveland. The place is filled with local senior citizens tonight, and we're loving it. Everybody is singing! Playing the Eagles, Bob Dylan, Peter-Paul-Mary, Louis Armstrong, Crosby-Stills-Nash, Simon-Garfunkel, and some original songs in the folk style. Taking requests. The atmosphere is happy, very cozy, and friendly. Waitress is so sweet. She brought my husband some free beer to try. We had delicious cheese sticks and a humongous warm pretzel. I love this place!

This is a "locals" hangout/bar and everyone is friendly. The food is really good, I've never been disappointed. The owner, Fred, mixes up the menu specials nicely. The staff are all great! Drinks are always good and the entertainment is really good or fun, if it's trivia night!. Check out Thursday nights music with Dave Sags & Friends (usually).

This is a nice cozy place to be able to sit back, kick your feet up and enjoy Gloucester ambience in a horseshoe bar environment. They have live entertainment and the wait staff there is very friendly and helpful. You won't go wrong coming here

I experienced a PHENOMENAL quartet Friday night at The Rhumb Line, The QCB aka HUH ( Thanks to Elder drummer) Got in a rippin' dance purge/release/balance check!! Awesome staff and crowd! Freakin' best night in a Long Time!

The Rhumb Line is a unique place. It is a favorite of the locals. You can get a bite to eat, have a drink and sometimes see some live music. The staff work hard to take care of your needs. If you go on a Friday or Saturday evening be ready for it to get a bit loud around 7p. Loud in a good way. The Rhumb Line is fun.

The food is very good. But to me that's the second reason I frequent this place. The first reason is that they pull in the best local music talent on a regular basis. Attend the Monday Night Open Jam and try to keep your jaw off the floor from awe!

Great little bar with live music. Not A ton of seating.

Oldest bar in town, so I'm told. Met legends, saw great bands, and felt as welcomed as if I were from here. Musicians, bartenders, and crowd were grounded, real, & warm. Made me want to move here.

Great local people and good prices, awesome local bands, Island Cowboy 🤠 and Earle Foote, from NC , got a local invite and would definitely go back

Excited to find one of the only places to eat on Monday open!! Very friendly and offered food options even when the kitchen was closed. Highly recommend.

Great atmosphere, good band(Big Moneymakers are great, they usually play the first Friday of each month), and decent prices.

At first I thought the band time change didn't make sense, now I get it. Great turnout, great staff per usual. Highly recommend
