Richard is a business man running a one man store and has work to do.
He is a good gunsmith and fair. Has always been good to us. He does good work. He is very knowledgeable and experienced. He is no nonsense but is a straight shooter!

From John M. Superb reblueing work on The barrels of a 65 year old Merkel for a very reasonable cost. This was highly detailed and skilled work to apply the Belgian rust blueing process and also involved the removal of tiny engraved screws which had rusted in place.

Have had good experience here; owner knowledgeable and has items that other shops do not stock, thank you.

I haven't bought anything yet but I went in and checked out his inventory and he has a great selection of guns ammo and reloading supplies all very reasonably priced

Rich is the best! Local gun dealer. Fair prices on ammo.. Come help keep the Second Amendment alive buy a new gun today!

Have been giving him business for a few years now and have also experienced both good gunsmithing jobs and not so good. He is somewhat overpriced but you get what you pay for however he ruined my muzzle brake and now I have to buy a new one and will probably not have him install it. He can be very rude and unprofessional at times and then very generous and talkative at others. Hard to read this guy but his shop is worth a visit maybe you will catch him at a good time in a good mood 🙂

The presumed owner was pretty short with me, and grouchy. I was excited to see probably 10,000+ primers on his shelves, but got a buzzkill when he said limit 200 AND $15/100 primers. That’s insane!!! Seems like he’s not interested in selling them, probably moreso just in showing off his supply. If they were reasonably priced, he wouldn’t be sitting on thousands and thousands of them.

Drove further up the coast to Cannon Beach and found a shop that sold me 1,000 of CCI #300 for $65!

Reloaders beware: Richard’s Gun Shop is not there to supply you, unless you want to pay 200% of the typical pandemic-era prices.

Helpful but not friendly. Charged me $55 for a shotgun choke I could have bought for less than $20 that day on Amazon. He claimed that's how much it would cost to replace but Amazon had them in stock. He's taking advantage of folks and hard times, even more so than big box stores.

Very rude, reasonable prices on firearms but charging insane prices on reloading components. Price gouging on steroids. Sad, I’ll never be back.

Charged me way too much for a very simple job that was not even done right. Never going back! I was not comfortable by the way he treated me. Completely ignored me treated me as an ignorant.

Rude, unprofessional & overpriced. Not worth the headache to deal with a grouchy, old jerk.
