I had a time sensitive electrical project and reached out to a few local companies. Joe was not only responsive but by far the most professional. He listened to my concerns, answered all questions, and provided expert advice...even going above and beyond in trying to source a part that we needed for one of our projects. He provided value even before coming out for the project. If you want an electrician that knows his stuff but also clearly cares about people then I highly recommend Joe Lydon.

The owner Joe is a exceptional guy! He came to my mother in laws home in Peabody, to fix and complete the poor work of a previous electrician I had to fire. Not only did Lydon Electrical come out to the job site the next day, Joe’s crew dug there heels right in and got all the work done fast, correct and didn’t break the bank. They installed a new 200 amp panel, moved and installed a new electric meter, wired the entire second floor addition, including sensor lights in the closets, recessed lights throughout the whole house. I cannot begin to describe these guys, Joe, Frank, Rob & Joe were a unbelievably group of guys that don’t mess around. They saved me and my mother in law from a total disaster. I wanted to write a review, because Lydon Electric of Peabody, is the real deal. If your looking for a honest, hardworking, trustworthy Electrician, don’t even hesitate to call Joe Lydon from Lydon Electrical!! Thank you & your crew so much Joe.

I worked directly with the owner Joe. He was very friendly. He was able to come out and give me a Free Estimate! This was down on short notice right before the Thanksgiving Holiday!

This company and its staff are incredible. This is THE company to use for knob and tube replacement or any electrical needs. They are professional, kind and very affordable. This might be the only company on the north shore that is honest, fair and doesn’t try to sell you stuff you don’t need. Joe, Pete, Rob and Eric are trustworthy and just all around great guys. I will never use a different electrician as long as I live here. Stay away from these large companies who perform multiple services because all they do is a sales call and then give you an astronomical estimate. As far as value is concerned Joe won’t rake you over the coals and will even give an estimate that’s already reasonable; then do all the work and charge you less than quoted. I can’t recommend Lydon Electric enough. And…they are friendly to pets where some other companies are the opposite.

I had completely lost faith in all contractors and was dreading having to call an electrician to figure out why a circut breaker kept tripping. I crossed my fingers and started dialing numbers. I was lucky enough to get through to Joe from Lydon Electric. From beginning to end, the experience I had in dealing with Joe was unbelievably pleasant and professional. He said he had some time between calls and could swing by within the hour. He was very thorough in troubleshooting the issue and found the problem. He made the repairs needed and presented me with the most reasonable invoice imaginable. I can't say my faith is restored in all contractors, I can say that Joe and his company, Lydon Electric are old school professionals and I would highly recommend them.

Joe did a phenomenal job coming out to my parents house and fixing a breaker. He was very thorough and professional. He took the time to explain the situation to everyone and answered all of our questions. I would highly recommend Lydon Electric and we plan to hire Joe for our future electrical needs.

I hired Lyndon electric after doing extensive research on electricians . After meeting Joe I knew his company was the one for me. Extremely professional , knowledgeable and so incredibly kind. Joe the owner and his crew, Frank, Rob and Joe showed up when they said they would, they were super clean and professional, they did the job above and beyond what I ever expected. Joe and every member of his team were excellent to work with! They remediated the extensive knob and tube wiring in our home and also completed some other work like adding outlets and installing new lights and fans for us. They were extremely responsive, on time, and easy to work with. We definitely would work with them again and recommend them to others!

I first heard about Lydon Electric from a recommendation on the Beverly, MA Facebook page. I called them up and was lucky enough to catch them right as they were finishing up another job in the area. Joe and team came out that same day to install an outlet for me. They were super friendly and professional. Joe worked with what I was looking for and helped me figure out the best way to do it. Very nice and honest guy with a ton of knowledge. He even helped me figure out how to use a baseboard heating unit that wasn’t working. I was referred to Joe and his team from my local Facebook page for the town and I am SO glad I was! He and his team were so helpful and knowledgeable during the whole kitchen renovation project. They explained things every step of the way and made me feel comfortable knowing I was in great hands with the team. Mu husband and I contacted Joe Lydon recently to assist us with removal of an outdated and non-working light fixture, and install a new dimmer switch and light fixture. The fixture we purchased, unfortunately was damaged when we opened the box, and Joe was here ready to go. He had to leave while we returned to the stored to pick up another fixture. We felt badly wasting his time, but he was so kind and understanding. He came back later that day, and completed the job, flawlessly. Joe is someone we feel fortunate to know, and this was the second time we have had him help us out. We would not hesitate to call upon him again!

Joe and his team did a fantastic job installing a home generator power outlet on my home's exterior and repairing several faulty exterior and interior outlets. Profession, courteous, detailed and high-quality work is what you can expect from Lydon Electric.

Joe was excellent! I would give more stars if I could. I called him Monday night and he came to my home the next morning to install my door bell. Out of all the home repair organizations I’ve utilized over the years there was none more courtesy and helpful the Lydon Electric. We had a small job and Lydon quickly completed the project, gave us some sound advice and even taught us a little about electrical currents. The technician was so nice and professional.

Joe Lydon is a consummate professional and you realize this the first minute you meet him. He is so enjoyable to be around you look forward to his next visit. I called Lydon Electric in the morning upon suggestion of a neighbor who had used them. What a great suggestion! Joe, a licensed master electrician, came by in the afternoon and replaced a circuit breaker which had been acting up. Professional and efficient. Professional quick work!!! They upgraded my service from 100 to 200 amps in Beverly and installed a new larger main panel and even came under quoted price! Very Happy with their work.
